The building itself is absolutely gorgeous, and retains a nice old fashioned feeling while still being comfortable. The staff are super friendly and went out of their way to remember my name and purpose of visit. Full of character and located right in the middle of town, very convenient for Amherst College. The bar is great with a lovely outdoor seating area, and the restaurant food is delicious.

It is very expensive, particularly to eat there. I had breakfast there on my first day, which was very nice, but about double the price of surrounding places. While I have absolutely no complaints in general, I'm not sure I'd call it good value for money, you simply get what you're paying for.

The property was spotless. The bed was SO comfy . Everything in walking distance. But the best part of our stay was the exceptional service from Victoria, Jay and Jake . Also the fabulous Kirsten at the front desk. She had to jump thru hoops with my planned payments and she did so with grace and a smile! Highly recommend the the Inn on Boltwood . We will be back!

Wish there was a mini fridge in the room! We had so much yummy food and could not bring back any leftovers!

A lovely property in the heart of Amherst. Truly the kind of place you visualize in dreams of a New England getaway. The staff were extraordinarily friendly and professional.

The bed in our room was surprisingly creaky. Nothing a few twists of an Allen wrench won't fix, but still... Weekend rates are elevated significantly when classes are in session at Amherst/through leaf-peeping season, but that's typical...

The Boltwood Inn is a beautiful historic stop in the center of quaint Amherst MA. The properly is beautifully restored, with charming accents and very pleasant staff. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and the servers were spectacular. The food was also quite good. We walked along the main strip to see if any of the other restaurants got our attention and we were very pleased to choose the restaurant at the inn. The room was also very lovely with lots of light, a nice bathroom, and fireplace!

The decor and atmosphere of this Inn were very cozy and warm. Loved the hug fire place in the common room. Love having very good restaurant and bar at the Inn.

beds were uncomfortable, and not big enough, they said it was a queen size bed but it was more of a full size bed. for the amount they are charging for the rooms, they should provide a continental breakfast.

We had dinner which was wonderful, affordable and our bartender Keith was fabulous. Your question you posed in this survey was how we would rank the breakfast but unfortunately when we arrived we were told that breakfast was not included. No biggie as we stumbled upon an amazing little bakery around the corner with homemade bagels and popovers. All the staff were exceptional. We never made it to the fireplace in the lobby but it looked delightful. Next time?

Perfect location on the town common, easy walk around town, the farmer's market saturday morning was lovely! The room was very comfortable - dark and quiet, and the gas/electric fireplace was fun! The restaurant was lovely - we sat on the porch and the food was great. Service was a tad slow but I understand everywhere struggles with that these days.

The coffee maker in the room was nice to have but we got no cups! Our room was not made up - which is fine, I just didn't realize it would not be - it might have been stated somewhere and I missed it.

The upscale vintage feel was endearing. But the quality of everything was outstanding. The place uses geo thermal energy, but there was no lack of a/c light or water pressure. The shower was powerful. The bed was very cozy, and they even had an airpurifier.The refined accents gave us an enchanted experience. Very luxurious.

The elevator was small and not air-conditioned. It was a bit smelly.

Excellent hundred year old inn at Amherst College. Has improved mightily in last few years. A major refurbishment a few years ago has made this property a bit of a jewel. And the excellent chef and restaurant offer the best cooking in town.
