Owner Bill was very personable and literally handed the key to me and then made sure my room temperature was adjusted as it is a cold spring these days in Northern Michigan. Personable and informative I definitely gleaned good information on where to eat etc. You can tell that the facility has had a lot of thought put into it. From the decor inside to the grounds, its one lovely place. Also if like me you are a birder on a quest to see Kirtlands Warbler, the rarest warbler in North America this is an excellent place to launch your birding quest. The breeding grounds for this species is only about 20 min away.

Simple but very clean accommodation. No breakfast included. Centralized air conditioning which you cant control. . Very quiet. The owner was very friendly and helpful.

The shower was difficult to use with weak water pressure.

The property was clean and met our expectations. We went for the trout fishing and were very pleased with the hotel location to the fly fishing. A fire pit was available and the owner answered all of our questions about the local area. We could not had a better experience.

Lovells Michigan has limited dining. He brook trout were a bit elusive for us, but the beauty of the Au Sable North Branch river was stunning.

We were in a bind, had a late check in due to problems with our camper. Owners were super understanding and empathetic. We had a great nights sleep and a hot shower! Thank you so much!

The warm and inviting nature of the owners (and other guests!) made this overnight stop one of my favorite motel stays of all time. I arrived late to find a cozy campfire and wonderful, friendly company. The room itself was clearly freshly cleaned. It smelled amazing, and had surprisingly beautiful floors. It felt like staying at an old friends home.

So quiet and peaceful. Absolutely love having a campfire on site. A coffee maker in the room would have made it perfect.

Quiet, clean, simple accommodations - with the North Branch of the Au Sable across the street. Perfect for my fishing! Hosts were friendly, helpful, and on-site throughout my stay.

A reasonably priced, very clean room in a convenient location. Also, Bill, the owner, was very accommodating by letting us check-in a little earlier than normal.

We had a spare bed to put our luggage on, but a folding luggage stand would be useful.

Owners Gini and Bill are wonderful proprietors - warm, responsive, straight-up local folks!

I liked everything. Cleanest rooms in Crawford County!
