I like that we had a bottom floor room where you can just walk out onto your patio and be steps away from the beach and the lake. The view was beautiful especially in the morning during sunrise. The view during breakfast and dinner was also beautiful. I enjoyed the way staff had things set up and ready to go, like fresh orange and lemon water, as well as fresh brewed coffee. I’m instantly happy when I walk out and see that ready for us guests. Clean area and well stocked. I also really liked the location. Staff were friendly and food at The Club along with the drinks were great.

We stayed for two nights, and the only thing that I wasn’t a big fan of was the breakfast sausages (dry and over cooked) Everything else was not bad, but for the cost of stay I think breakfast could be a little better. Otherwise we have no complaints

This was a beautiful location right on Lake Huron. The beach with fire pits lit nightly with the smoky campfire smell was so relaxing. The Clubhouse for the complimentary breakfast was nice each morning. We were upgraded from our partial lake view to a full lake view and couldn't be happier with our room. We watched the beautiful sunrise. Our room was clean and housekeeping came daily. The beds and pillows were comfy. We enjoyed the ambiance of the electric fireplace too. We had a fridge and microwave. The free shuttle to the dock to catch the ferry to the island was super convenient and took little to no waiting time. We'd definitely stay here again. This resort just made our first time to Mackinaw/Mackinac so incredible with many treasured memories with my girls.

We didn't know about the annual Labor Day bridge walk. We were on the wrong side, so we had to get up earlier than planned to head out and beat the bridge closing on Mackinac Bridge at 0630am-12pm. We wanted to have breakfast, leave around 9am to stop off in Boyne Falls to visit the Skybridge, then head home. It worked out though. We beat holiday traffic and got home early. We joked that we were the only ones heading the wrong way.

Pricing is a little high (for me) to stay in the room I was in (lakeside patio, 1st floor). Also... This room was initially booked for a wedding suite. I must've mentioned it through the site I booked. However, my wedding was called off due to a breakup. When I arrived, the front door to my room was decorated and said, "congrats! Just married", and the room, itself, was decorated for a just married couple. That was an emotional setback for a couple of hours. Perhaps calling the day before to make sure all parties are still coming prior to the beautiful gesture that was actually heartbreaking at the moment would be helpful?? I know that likely ever happens but...

This hotel was awesome. Give it an A+. The people at the front desk off the main drive were exceptional. Gave us information on events that were happening around the town. Also the front desk in the hotel were very exceptional also. The greetings at the door and always in a professional manner. All the workers were exceptional and great. Going out of there way and helping or holding doors open for incoming guest. This is what makes a excellent hotel. Keep up all your great work. I will tell everyone i know that comes up to St. Ignace that this is a top notch hotel...

Not one thing that was dissatisfied.

They were able to get us adjoining rooms. We had a great view of the grounds and the water. Our beds were very comfortable and the restaurant had great food. Overall we were very pleased

The only thing we didn't care for was we took the elevator to our floor along with the luggage cart. Once we got out of the elevator we realized our rooms were down a short flight of stairs and we could not use the cart. It was a little inconvenient, but we managed.

The friendliness of all the staff, professional and very friendly. The concierge was so helpful in answering all Our questions. Cleaning staff did a great job each day! We loved everything about the property, except the steps we had to manage in getting our luggage to our room, we were on second floor but had some steps to go down to get to our room.

This was my first time staying at Breakers Resort. From the hotel, the wonderful meals, amazing coffee, the view it all truly exceeded my expectations. Definitely would love to return for a longer stay.

Just the initial check in at the main office, the one lady could have been a bit more pleasant, she seemed like she didn't want to be there so that set the tone off on a bit of a questionable start. But once we checked in, and never saw her again, all was smooth sailing from there.

Our overall experience was awesome, here are things I would like to see so improved: 1 - The bar/restaurant was CLOSED on Tuesday 2 - Better/more toiletries in units 3 - Complimentary breakfast should be a better 4 - Need an area for after-hour drinks and snacks 5 - Hearing music would be nice

Beautiful views of Lake and Mackinac Island. Good location for exploring the Upper Peninsula (Soo Locks, Tahquamenon Falls, Pictured Rocks (2 hour drive). St. Ignance is a low key hotel/motel area with most of the shopping activities in Mackinac City.

Resort is showing it's age and could use a refresh (ex. faucets/showers look to be from the 1980's style. Same with carpeting. The breakfast was just okay with little healthy options available (small fruit bowl) and no change from day to day.

The rooms were exceptionally clean and the included breakfast was fantastic (especially the little pepper and cheese omelettes). We especially appreciated the complementary shuttle service to and from Shepler’s Ferry as well as the discounted ferry tickets. The private beach and bonfire were also lovely amenities that we enjoyed very much. Additionally, Beverly at the concierge was an absolute joy; she was beyond helpful, genuine, funny, and so very informative about things to do in the area. We spent a day visiting Tahquamenon State Park based on her recommendation, and it was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. I also appreciate that Breakers has a handicap lift available at their pool to make it accessible to every guest.

We couldn’t find our TV remote. This really didn’t matter to us and we didn’t pursue the issue, but I think Breakers would have resolved the matter quickly had we brought it to their attention. We were very happy with the service over the duration of our stay here. We highly recommend them.
