Breakfast was good. The woman who was filling breakfast items was very pleasant. The hotel was pleasantly quiet! Really liked the bottled water available at the front desk.

The only concern wasn't related to the hotel. Saturday evening when walking back to the hotel around 10:30 PM a car passed by and shot us with salt pellets. There was also a lot of riff-raff going on in the parking lot across from the Dewitz Seitz building. A bunch of kids in trucks. My wife I and I have been coming to Duluth for many years, and this is the first time I didn't feel safe in the park late in the evening. I h

It was a very good location. The people working there were very friendly and helpful. They were remodeling at the time we stayed there. It really wasn’t an inconvenience and there were many notices around the building that let us know. They offered bottled water which was really nice when coming in after walking around the area for a long time.

When the elevator was out of order, one guest there that I did not know, had to ask me for help to figure out where the stairway was to get him to his floor.

The breakfast staff was extremely cordial and accommodating. The desk staff was friendly and helpful. Even the maintenance man we encountered was nice. Overall, a great staff. The broad breakfast selection is helpful when you have younger children with you. The location is also good. Everything in Canal Park and surrounding attractions attractions is within walking distance, and one can go directly up Lake Street to north/south downtown, Skyline Drive, or up to Miller Hill.

The rooms are a bit on the spendy side compared to some other options in Duluth, but you know that when booking. The cheaper options don’t include the expansive breakfast offering (which is worth quite a bit when you have a party of six). Also, the location is great for what we wanted to see and where we wanted to spend time.

I’ve been coming here since a kid and over the 20 years this place has continued to upgrade overtime i love taking my girlfriend here and spending time at the Hampton inn canal if i could afford to go more I’d be up there all the time!

It wasn’t the end of the world or really a big deal i wouldn’t say i didn’t like it but being by the room on the corner next to the storage room and stairs you heard ton of noise that kept you up through out the night but truly wasn’t that big of a deal!

Location is great. We like being in Canal Park when staying in Duluth. Breakfast was good and typical of what I see for places that include breakfast. I was impressed with all of the staff we encountered. Front desk person that checked us in was great. The gentleman managing the breakfast area was very friendly. We came in midday and were eating caramel apples we had purchased and he offered all 5 of us a cold bottle of water which was completely unexpected. Thank you!

Nothing really comes to mind. You met all of our expectations.

Housekeeping could use some guidance-several items including a thc vape pen found by a grandchild by the bed. We could see a condom in wrapper by the bed too. Room seemed much warmer than the thermostat

The location was astounding. We were close to several restaurants and shops. Canal park was a 5-10 minute walk away. The view from the breakfast area was absolutely stunning. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind.

We thought we were getting a room with lake view too, but we were so close to the lake walk that it didn’t really matter.

The view was nice. The breakfast area to sit was a beautiful view. There were enough towels for us. It was nice to have enough outlets & usb ports. The pool/hot tub were nice.

Our reservation was lost. The bed was rock hard, the pillows were flat. The staff wasn't very friendly. For the price & location, our expectations were high, but were not met.

Excellent selection of choices to eat. Beautiful seating area looking out towards Lake Superior.

Have stayed here multiple times while my daughter was attending University of Minnesota. Never have I had less than an exceptional experience staying here.e

You can't beat the location! It's steps to the Boardwalk with easy walking to everything on the Canal. Breakfast with a view! After a day of walking, the hottub was a treat. There's no reason to even turn on a TV. Just open the window.

My husband says he can't think of a thing!!
