The price point was the lowest possible in the Duluth and Superior area so I wasn't expecting much. I never cared for super 8 I like more luxury... I was happily surprised that the property was clean, updated and the staff was exceptional. The bed...I didnt notice so it must have been on the soft side (I dont like firm) but the pillows were perfect and they had 8 in the room of different varieties. 24/7 coffee, tea and hot chocolate (the good stuff) not sparing flavored creamer, honey etc. Breakfast was also better than I expected; waffles, egg croissant sandwiches, giant muffins, cereal, oatmeal, toast, fresh fruit and yogurt. My family of 5 would have a hard time finding a restaurant that would serve us breakfast at a price less than the daily rate of the hotel room so it practically paid for itself. No pool but they have a hot tub and a real wet stone sauna. The spa is private use only, one family at a time. It was open each time we wanted to use it. The location is great; you can see it off I 35 and it is right by Bentlyville, GL aquarium, canal park and just generally central and easy to find. I did not need GPS to get back to our hotel. I think this place is a gem and will try them again when we are in the area 🙂

I couldn't expect more for the price.

Breakfast was good, Employees were fantastic! Rooms very clean, privacy was nice! Loved good lighting for parking and moving around in dark hours!

Did not know there was a charge for our fur baby unti we arrived even though I had booked pet friendly room, I can understand a deposit but 20 bucks a nite? When booking online and havig to pay, that should be the cost not more add ons when you arrive! We were disappointed that the sauna was unavailable and also the hours of use for spa . We like to use a hot tub in the am before showering. So maybe put your few hours of use in description of services!

I stayed one night on 11-27-2024 and I have stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions in the past 5 or 6 years. The rooms are always clean and quiet. Beds are comfortable and have 4 pillows, and the television is always in good order...good TV setup. I do not eat breakfast at the hotel (I'm usually out the door early to meet friends for breakfast) but there is a small area in the front lobby where a basic breakfast setup exists. Location is excellent...right off I-35 and also just blocks to the access to Superior WI via Bong Bridge / Highway 2.

Parking can *sometimes* be a challenge (nearly full) and there can be larger vehicles (bus or large trucks) taking up spots in the back row. Not always a problem but occasionally if I don't arrive until later in the evening it can be.

The price and location was great. Staff was friendy. Lacking a fitness room they made up with access to a gym near by with plenty of equipment to use a huge plus. Minutes away from Wisconsin to visit another state near by. Very affordable stay especially for an out of state traveler like my family and I.

The AC unit about my room (118) was dripping outside hitting my unit making a very loud drip noise. Had to put a towel outside on my unit to dampen the sound. The smell of weed coming in from the bathroom vents was off and on. Breakfast was ok, but could use a change up.

Staff was very friendly at check in. Gave us a great suggestion for supper. This was a very clean place that had everything we needed. Plenty of pillows and comfortable beds. Had a refridge and microwave. There was a desk with one chair but no other chair to sit in. It had a sauna and hot tub which was a pleasant surprise. Their continental breakfast had lots of options. Cereal, oatmeal, Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches, eggo waffles, toast, condiments, juice & fresh fruit. Something for everyone. Enjoyed our stay.

Excellent location right off of the interstate. Chain restaurant a short walk away. Staff were friendly. Clean and comfy rooms. Plenty of parking right out front.

A/C unit wasn’t working the best - room eventually cooled off. Mgmt had a note to call if help was needed with A/C so they know the problem. Breakfast was limited on protein but otherwise plentiful.

Comfortable room, excellent chair, giant bed, good Internet, solid refrigerator, impeccable staff; friendly and professional all around. We hadn't planned on staying the night, but because of a change in travel plans, we adapted. We're both experienced travelers but I was a little nervous about the reviews. Couldn't have been more put at ease. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Easy Uber into town (not cheap $14 each way... But easy if you want to experience some night life). Greatly appreciated our stay. Thank you!

No complaints. Fantastic staff.

The room was comfortably cooled prior to our arrival on a blistering hot day. In the shower, the water pressure was very good, as was the water temperature.

The bathroom floor needs to be thoroughly washed, not "just" swiffer-mopped. (my white socks got pretty dirty)

The room was nice. The bed was great, and I loved the pillows! I slept like a rock! The staff was wonderful!

The room is close to the front desk. It was a little noisy, but not bad. I only mention it because the laundry facilities are there too, along with the ice maker. Other rooms are not affected by this. I would definitely stay here again.

The quietness despite being near a busy road. The cleanliness of the lobby and room. The pre check in was a life saver for me. I was able to let them know ahead of time I was going to be a little later checking in. I felt safe and secure in my room. I did enjoy that Perkins was just a quick walk away.
