My husband and I stayed one night and we really enjoyed it. This property is gorgeous and the location is perfect. I love its history. The staff was very friendly. We were on the 3rd floor near the very nice terrace. It was a great place to relax and enjoy the view of the water. Our room was very clean and beautiful with tall ceilings and doors. We slept great. The a/c was probably the best of any hotel we’ve stayed in. We had everything we needed. The coffee, bottled water and full sized ironing board with iron in our room was very appreciated!

very pretty property, hotel lobby was really gorgeous especially with all the Christmas decorations. We didn’t spend much time there. It was just a quick overnight stay. Beds were comfortable. We were able to scooter to all the casinos instead of driving. It’s not that far away and pretty scenic along the beach side. And if you’re into Pickleball, there is a brand new indoor facility that we went to in the evening, which was open till midnight on Saturday and paid $10 to pay for a few hours. It’s called The Picklr and less than 15 mins drive.

The room had a lot of low lighting. And you can’t open up the windows to get fresh air. We had a king size room with a couch and coffee table, but the TV was kind of small for the set up. It’s not a smart TV either so bring a USB cord if you want to play something from your phone using an app like Netflix or HBO Max, etc..

Ocean view is fantastic. Bar and sitting area very classy. Friday Happy Hour music was great.

Room: Mold in showers. Grout is supposed to be white but was 50% black which means mold in the grout. Bed: Pillows were all soft. Should have a mix of soft and firm. Need to add blankets in room, but are available upon request. Breakfast: Breakfast was good but wrong food delivered. Ordered the Whitehouse Omelet (Crawfish and Tasso) but instead got the Denver Omelette. Asked for side of potatoes and got grits instead. Food was good but just need to fix their process.

The staff was phenomenal! Ms. Fran and Mr. David and all the Housekeeping staff. Loved the Bar and Bar food. Beautiful facility. Clean, very friendly, helpful staff. Felt comfortable right away Pool was divine. Will be coming back. About to reserve for next year.

Not really anything we didn't like. The tiny sink in the bathroom was a little challenging at times but everything else made up for that.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The location was perfect, just far enough from the busy main strip for peace and quiet but still a quick drive to all the attractions. The pool was relaxing and the room was clean and comfortable.

One thing I did not like was the gap at the bottom of the door which let noise in and out. We could hear guests talking while sitting at the bar. This made it harder to full privacy in the room at times.

First room I was in on the first floor had a strong musty smell and couldn't get Internet. Had some work I had to get done so they moved me to a suite on the 3rd floor. Soo much better. I know it must be a constant battle being a historic property and the humidity. Maybe some kind of dehumidifier in those rooms would eliminate the musty smell. I am an asthmatic so tough to be around those conditions.

We were very pleasantly surprised by the grandeur of the hotel although it's jaded around the edges and perhaps is living off past beauty, it's still very imposing and attractive. Our sea view room was more of a sea glimpse because of a huge tree but it was lovely. The pool area is very neglected but we still enjoyed some sunbathing and swimming time, pool towels are provided. There were a couple of private evening functions which restricted us a little (use of lift and outside seating) but it didn't spoil our stay. We didn't eat in the hotel but we did use the bar. There was a pianist two evenings. The female bar and reception staff are lovely. Free parking is good. Comfortable bed. Ice machine. Iron and ironing board. Toiletries provided but one day we were left with none but a quick visit to reception resolved the issue.

There is no storage in the bedroom, only a small hanging space in the bathroom and a shelf in the bedroom. Our safe did not work. There is no fridge in the room which is annoying as we could not keep our bottled water cold. One male bar man was not at all friendly and really didn't seem to want to be there. There is a lack of seating areas with tables generally around the hotel. No tables around the pool. No tables on the roof top terrace. Only a couple of small low tables in the reception. There were four of us and we like to play cards whilst having a drink.

Lovely, independent and stylish but comfortable hotel on beach front in a quiet area only a short(ish) walk from nearest restaurant for brunch or evening meal etc. Friendly and helpful staff. Spotlessly clean. Beds very comfortable too in a spacious and clean room. Excellent shower too. Bar food in hotel was nice too. Very relaxing stay.

The building was beautiful. The lobby was cozy. The rooms were nice and the shower was great.

Everywhere you go these days you can pretty much get a microwave, mini fridge, and an ironing board. Our room had none of these. We were in room 115 directly across from the ice machine and two vending machines. Non stop noise throughout the night. My dreams were so crazy it was like I was working a concession stand. . I did get one housekeeper to find us an ironing board but was told that the other items were only in select rooms by the front desk.

Ambience of the bar and piano playing music; the restaurant- brunch was phenomenal and hot to meet Chef; the staff super professional and nice. Savannah our bar server took time to go over the history of the hotel and get us each time we visited the bar. Check in/out a very efficient and polite. Location of hotel is perfect. Didn’t get to use the pool amenity due to weather but will come back.
