Liked that there was a larger size refrigerator. Liked the table and comfortable chairs in the room. Large TV and luggage stand. 2 sinks in bathroom was nice. Good water pressure. Beautiful pool but we did not swim. Nice lighting in tub area and bathroom. Good breakfast with many choices. It was quiet. Good location to walk to the Star restaurant for dinner.

Room was hot when we checked in and it took a little bit of time to cool down. Otherwise a good stay.

The front office staff very friendly. Great location, as you can walk easily to a couple of different eating locations. The place was clean, simple, no frills, kinda place. They have a small frig/freezer, coffee pot, and hair drier. They do allow dogs with a nighly fee. This site is located in the original downtown of Elko. Note for travelers with dog: there isn't a place on site or nearby with grass/truff/dirt for dogs to do their business, all pavement. However, there is a couple dog parks within about 5 minutes drive in the new part of Elko. I found those dog parks very nice, except some owners didn't cleanup after their dog (grrrr). I would definitely stay at the Thunderbird again. Tks to the staff!

Location was perfect, close to everything you need. Owner was so extremely nice. We stayed going through and coming back and she remembered us and asked how things went, very personable. Nice breakfast and although it wasn’t open yet due to time of year, it looks like a wonderful pool to relax around as well. Very quiet, comfortable beds and nice large flatscreen tv! Can also park right in front of your room door! Huge plus!

Getting text message from property management welcome our arrival. We.booked dog friendly room always request first or ground floor for convenience. They asked confirm will we be staying with pet told them small 13 lbs service dog.

The only complaint was the parking facilities poorly layout for the hotel hard to go forward or backwards parking lot and often turnaround your auto several times to get out of the hotel.

I love when towns work to return their older hotels/motels to their former glory, and this one is a perfect example of that. The rooms are updated, clean, and comfortable. While we were there, there was continuous work on the outside of the buildings. The breakfast was convenient and quick, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. It's a great value.

The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the windows are towards the parking lot, so you can kinda look at your car from the window. The fridge and microwave being included are amazing, the shower was clean, plenty of towels. The free Wifi included was excellent. Breakfast was basic, but being included was still great!

No complaints, decent price for a great place to rest.

The Thunderbird is an older motel, in the process of renovation. The owner is very accommodating. The older furniture in the room was tasteful and in good condition. The room was set up as a double queen but one of the beds was removed giving a feeling. Comfortable and roomy breakfast area in the motel lobby.

Breakfast was the standard ‘inexpensive motel’ fare of cereals, waffle maker and frozen egg and sausage sandwich - all good but fresh fruit would be a plus. I was traveling with my dog - no doggie area.

The desk clerk, I believe he is the owner, was pleasant and helpful. I felt welcome! Rooms look old and forgotten somehow but were actually clean.

Its an old facility that could use sprucing up inside and out. Cracked and crumbling cement and stairs were dark in the corner of the building. It was a good value though and though the rooms had an old feel and look, everything there in the room was clean. Thirty year old color schemes with polyester printed quilt bedspreads made it look questionable but it was actually clean and not unpleasant smelling.

Good, clean, 2 star hotel. Pool looked very clean. Air conditioning in room worked well and the fan masked noise from adjacent rooms. Breakfast included cereal and a waffle maker, as well as orange juice and milk. Good location on the main street in Elko. Just a few blocks from the visitor center, about a block from the court house.

Wood toilet seat had paint worn off in places.

Booked this room for a 92 yr old father that was traveling from California to Montana to attend his brothers funeral... This was midway and a perfect spot for him to overnight.

Nothing that I'm aware, father said he was comfortable, not the best he had stayed in, but not the worst. He was satisfied with the accommodations.
