It was convenient and clean, quiet with an accommodating staff, and offered an amazing complimentary breakfast featuring a "hands-free" automatic pancake maker that fascinated me.. The room had a coffee pot and a refrigerator/freezer not stuffed with expensive drinks, but empty and available for our own food and drinks.

The typical hotel room complaints - not enough outlets conveniently located for all our recharging needs - and the modern way of hotels where no one comes into your room unless you ask for service. Knowing that, I went to the front desk to get more coffee and cups for the second day. I'm used to making my own bed and hanging up my towels so there was no problem.

I thought the room was fine, clean and convenient. However, there were black ants in the bathroom, and as I was leaving I found two black ants on the bedding. A surprise that breakfast was so convenient and plentiful - thought this was well done.

I didn't like the fact that of the cable news stations only Fox was available - this told me the political views of the staff/owners since CNN (a neutral station) and MSNBC were totally blocked. Unacceptable

The beds were comfortable. The outdoor spaces were great. The pool was clean and there was plenty of room. The seating area in the front was clean, comfortable and is one of many reasons I will go back. Great breakfast options with plenty of places to sit and eat. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The 1 staff member in the morning was very overwhelmed. It was a holiday weekend and he was alone out there to check in, out, refill breakfast, dealt with 2 complaints just while I was in there. I overheard him saying to himself. I have never seen this many people in here. I had 1 issue with the room. There was an empty alcohol can behind my bed. If the room was cleaned properly that wouldn't have been there.

The Port Inn is located on the main route into Portsmouth and is easy to find. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and having a pool for a quick swim was a bonus (pool towels were easily available). The best thing was definitely the breakfast. Such a good variety and great fun making your own pancakes and waffles!

The room was small and dark, especially for four adults. It was also set up for only three guests (only three chairs, cups, glasses, plates etc) and was only suitable for a couple of nights.

Large, clean room close to lobby. Good size bathroom with counter space and full tub. Breakfast with eggs, sausage, and waffles, plus fruit and granola. About a seven-minute drive to downtown Portsmouth. Large open field across the street is great for dog walking.

The eggs for breakfast are round patties, which is kind of weird, but still tasted fine. The TV did not connect to cable service at first. This required the night manager to come by and fix the setup.

The parking spot was right in front of our room when we entered the room it was nice and clean and the bed was really comfortable the staff was absolutely amazing and friendly, I took my dog with me and the was so nice to him I will definitely stay here again.

The bathroom was a little small, but I don't mind because you use the bathroom to shower, brush you teeth, and use the toilet.

The breakfast was more extensive than expected and the food and coffee were delicious. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Having a microwave and mini fridge in the room was very helpful.

The room size was a bit tight, but manageable.

Hotel staff all incredibly friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was really good, although the actual dining area is quite small, but it never got busy so it wasn't a problem for us at all. We had the two bedroom suite between five adults, it was not noisy given how close it was to the road and car park. We walked into Portsmouth in the evening we were there, it's about a 30 minute walk into the edge of town, but stopping at the breweries along the way helped break up the walk. The room was clean and plenty spacious enough, we only really used it to sleep in but it served us really well. Would stop here again if travelling along the coast and would recommend it too.

The only thing that was slightly bothersome was that the heater was on when we entered the room, it wasn't a huge issue at all but it was quite hard to cool the room down again. We're from the UK and used to very cold weather so it could have just been a difference in preferences, as we're not used to heating places so much in the UK it caught us off guard.

Convenient to visiting family, easy location from I-95, nice breakfast selection, quiet, pleasant employees, clean comfortable beds, updated bathroom, very nice television

Minor issue with no problem but the floor of our room was somewhat out of level with high and low spots. Just felt wonky in spots. Otherwise room was lovely.

Beautiful decor and quality of furnishings. Good amenities like microwave and one cup coffee pot. Breakfast was varied and tasty, well done, and the breakfast room was, again, beautifully decorated and pleasantly situated.

The heating unit under the window worked fine and was easy to use, BUT it was loud and the blower would have put an occasional stiff wind across the beds each time heat switched on. I put a chair in front of it so the wind didn’t bother, but the noise was still impressive and disrupted my sleep.
