We had an amazing experience at the Aloft Hotel in New Jersey. The location is incredibly convenient — just steps away from the bus stop that takes you directly into Manhattan, making it perfect for exploring NYC without the hassle. There’s also plenty of parking available, which made everything even easier. The hotel itself is modern, clean, and very comfortable. We loved the vibrant atmosphere and thoughtful amenities. There are lots of restaurants and shops nearby, so you have everything you need right around the corner. But what truly stood out was the staff — friendly, helpful, and professional. They made our stay feel special from start to finish. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the area!

Nothing, everything great

We loved the pool table, the gym, pool availability, tv access (no need to travel with or sign in to personal streaming accounts), arcade/games in the lobby, The shower layout and toiletries, private toilet area, awesome shades (numbers, very matrix) and room design. The location of the hotel and access to public transportation and food/shopping was excellent.

The pool was freezing (we visited in November). Our room bathroom walls were a bit dirty and the carpets (both in room and halls) were a turn off, as they were dirty/stained. Personally carpeting is a bit icky to me because of their bad reputation.

We stay at Meadowlands 1-2/year on trips but this was the first time at Aloft and we were very pleasantly suprised. Location is great. Facilities are great. Rooms are funky. We booked a double but they were out when we checked-in, and were reserved a King room (for 2 adults, 3 babies). I didn't mind cause kids are small. But the receptionist immediatley changed the room for an Accessible room for extra space. Made a big difference :)

There was always a crowd of smokers outside (which is fine, their porogative) but very close to the door. Unpleasant wlaking in and out with children. Not really a fault of the hotel per se..

It's close to the Plaza (6-7 minutes walk), where you can find plenty of restaurants and cafes, as well as a cinema. There's a Walmart nearby (5 minutes walk). There are bus lines running on the street in front of the hotel.

The pillows were quite soft, I had to use two of them stacked one on top of the other. The water pressure is quite low for my taste, and with the shower head fixed to the wall it was difficult to take a proper shower.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. They really wanted to make sure we had a great stay. We loved the pool table, free coffee on the morning, grab and go breakfast, clean, comfy room. Very easy to get to NYC from the hotel, bus route 320 was right across the street. Lots of restaurants around too.

The pool was not working when we went. They tried to help and were very nice about it. The kids were a bit bummed they couldn't swim, but we played at their pool table instead.

I don't like that they don't offer coffee in the main lobby. They do sell it, however, it would be nice for them to offer free coffee since they do offer it in our rooms. Also- it didn't bother me but people should know that the bathrooms do not have doors for the showers, so if you are sharing a room with friends keep that in mind. There is a door for the toilet though.

we enjoyed the stay, people and working staff were very kind, All staff was helpful, We had a payment issue mistake, Then problem was solved by helping of ASNER the reception guy (KING), alot of thanks to him...

Once I had the payment mistake issue it was hard to reach the hotel, and I didnt get the correct responde from booking.com or hotel, But again thanks to ASNER.

Honestly it was super modern and comfortable. We had a double queen room and it was good for 4 of us (3 adults-1 child[9]). The bar area looked nice - was open with a seating and pool area. Would have loved to utilize this but we had plans every day. Pool and gym were clean and nice. Definitely great for families, friends, everyone. Great centralized location.

The food they had for breakfast looked soooo good, but it wasn’t as good as it looked. I ordered a funfetti cinnamon bun for the kiddo and when we got it, there was no funfetti and the icing was lack there of. I asked if they had more or even sprinkles to put on it and they didn’t have that. All of the food was basically gone BUT we got there around 930 and they close at 1000 so we may have just missed it all. So, if ya want something.. maybe go a little earlier! ***Nothing to deter us from staying there again. Nothing worth making a fuss about or even giving a negative rating, just a mention. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend to anyone going to American dream, MetLife, etc.

Good hotel. Good staff. Good location, 20-30 min to Manhattan.

The payment system was not good. They charged me twice for same stay, first time they charged me by booking service, second time at the front desk. So till now I didn’t get the money back. And customer service don’t want to give answer to me, they just ignoring my massages. Hope they will

We liked that it was Modern and clean. I also liked that in a few minutes you can walk to many different shops and eateries. Another plus, my wife is a walker , and she found a trail 5 minutes away walking distance from the hotel. You can grab your coffee that the hotel provides and go for a brisk walk to start your day! All in all, our experience was great, you can't go wrong with a clean and comfortable bed!

The only thing I can say was that we didn't have enough drawer space to put our clothes away and not enough hangers, but it wasn't such a big deal. We just left our clothes in the suitcase and hung up a few in the rack by the door.
