The Mansion is beautiful and unique place to stay in Buffalo - might be the best in Buffalo if you want something different rather than plane bed and bathroom. We loved the architecture of the building, the stuff and butlers are incredibly friendly and polite, always ready to help. First glass of wine for free was a charming gesture from the hotel, definitely added some good emotions and memories (isn’t that what the hotels are supposed to do?:) The breakfast was really good!!

We could use a little better cleaning in the room. Especially in the bathroom, on top of the heater and around the bathtub. Also, it was pretty cold in the bathroom itself.

Staff was exceptionally friendly. Location was good. Breakfast was actually a good breakfast prepared for you, not just a waffle machine. Lounge was nice, the building has character. Cookies & custom check-in letter are nice touches.

The decor/furnishings in the rooms are out of character with the vibe of the place (but give it enough time, that'll be vintage, and this critique will be useless).

Beautiful “mansion”, more like a boutique hotel than a B & B. Rooms were big with really high ceilings. Breakfast was delicious. Staff were super helpful. The butlers gave us great recommendations. They have a parking lot( Drive slowly- it has some dips). Location is walking distance to theatre district.

The house is AMAZING (especially the room where guests have breakfast) and is a piece of historic significance; staff are fantastic; breakfast is super delicious (big shoutout to the chef who was super nice and encouraged me before my bar exam); close to downtown (in walking distance to major attractions in the city center and NY Bar test center - in case you are also taking the bar exam)

Understandably, some of the facilities can be a bit old (floor can be squeaky and the bathroom looks a bit old) and the rooms are not sound proof (can hear people talk when they chat in the corridor); a bit expensive (but I understand restoration of the house must have cost a lot).

From the moment we walked in the staff was amazing. We were greeted by a very friendly gentleman who showed us around the main floor got all of our information and also helped us carry our bags up to the room. We were told about their complementary breakfast as well as drink at the bar and told that we had a butler service and chauffeur as needed. We checked in on New Year’s Eve and were still able to get a complementary ride to and from dinner, which they called around and found us somewhere that had an opening and made a reservation, and then they took us to our late night show. Breakfast the following morning was amazing and more than we have ever come across at any chain hotel. This day was even more special even with changes in their staffing/ownership they were more than accommodating and made our stay so wonderful. The small extra things that they did daily to make us feel welcome were amazing and any time we come back to Buffalo we will only be staying here

There is not a single thing about the mansion that we did not like

The staff was amazing. The breakfast was great. If I could suggest anything, it would be to look into memory foam mattresses possibly. The mattresses were spring, so they weren't very comfortable but everything else was great.

The Mansion is an elegant testimony to the wealth of capitalists of the Gilded Age, high ceiling, large glass windows, beautiful carved woodwork on the railings and around the doors. One can imagine living there with servants at your beck and call. The staff at the Mansion does an excellent job of taking care of their guests in a warm, engaging manner, so that the feeling is one of caring and kindness. As a solo traveler the availability of transportation for short distances is an added convenience and safety feature. A trip just a few blocks away was appreciated at night. The breakfasts are delicious. The bar is a welcome gathering spot at the end of the day. This is my go to hotel when I come to Buffalo. Thank you for the accommodation and the service.

It was a little cold, but it was windy and I am from California

Location was close to dining and a good place for walking to places. Clean and staff was great at handling drinks, luggage and parking (we had bikes ) and had a great and safe place for us to park. Super cool building so beautiful to see this and others being preserved

Didn’t stay long enough

This is a really cool boutique hotel. The staff is great, the ambiance is very unique and I think for the price it's a great value. The decor is slightly old for what most people expect for a modern hotel, but it's part of the old mansion charm and I wouldn't change it. The cost was 20-30$ more than staying at a local chain hotel but includes: + Free parking +Complimentary chauffeur service + First drink of each night included, friendly bartender + Free breakfast, and one of the best tasting hotel breakfasts I've ever had. Tbf, the bar is pretty low for hotel food but we were really surprised. The dressing on the salad is killer. We only stayed one night, and i think the value of the place would really pay off from a multi-night stay. If we find ourselves in Buffalo again i would definitely seek this out.

Breakfast was nicely presented, the egg strata was tasty. Enjoyed the Bar area, cocktails and Pooltable prior to going out for dinner. We selected the Mansion due to its location- easy walking to various restaurants and fairly close to the airport.
