I liked the hotel and its setting. The lake location is beautiful. The facilities are excellent, and there are places to be with friends, have events, and relax. Everything at the hotel was fine until our last day. That morning my husband had a zoom meeting that lasted until the early afternoon. After the call, I removed the "do not disturb" sign from our door and asked the front desk to have the room cleaned, and we went out. Not only did the room not get cleaned, no turn down service happened either. When I told the front desk the next morning, they apologized, but offered no explanation or attempt to compensate even in a small way.

The restaurant had.problems in the kitchen. They couldn't keep up with the orders and made people wait almost 30 minutes for food. Others who were staying at the hotel were turned away so the kitchen could catch up. The last day of our stay, no one could charge food to their rooms because there were computer problems. So, it seemed like there was always something behind the scenes that didn't work.

The location is perfect. I was raised in Jamestown and remember the spot as being Celeron Park 😊

The only problem is in the evening, after having dinner Downtown Jamestown at Wicked Warrens, 15+ of us sat outside enjoying the wonderful weather, peace and quiet. The one problem is that some of us were eaten alive by the knats!! I had around 55 bites on my right foot and ankle, and 30+ on the left foot/ankle. A few other people experienced the same issue. Next time we'll just have to make sure we've used some bug spray. Other than that Chautauqua Harbor Hotel was wonderful.

This was our first visit to this property and we were quite impressed with everything. Every member of the staff we encountered was pleasant and helpful. Would highly recommend a rom w/balcony - the views re beautiful! The bedding is just what we needed after a long day and we slept like babies. Decided to have a leisurely breakfast and the room service was excellent. The food was delicious and exceeded our expectations - the bacon was delicious, the eggs and toast very good, and the blueberry muffin was bakery quality. Served on time by a very pleasant young man and our day was off to a very good start!! The live music with appetizers and drinks made for a pleasant evening. Would definitely return to this hotel but for a longer stay to enjoy the wonderful amenities and the nearby attractions. As an added note, would recommend taking the Chataqua Belle Steamboat tour - it was a nice way to see the entire beautiful lake while listening to the fantastic guide relate so much fascinating historical information. Loved it!

A beautiful property right on the lake. Close proximity to the Chautauqua Institution. Our room was comfortably cool in spite of a brutal heat wave.

Things fell apart at breakfast. The host seated us and then completely forgot about us. We were there at least 20 minutes before we saw someone to flag down. By the way there was only one other table with guests on the other side of the restaurant. Other than the fresh fruit our food was inedible. My cinnamon toast was beyond soggy. I held it up and it was like a wet dish rag, literally dripping butter. The meat in my husband’s omelette was extremely greasy and so were the home fries. He had to leave his meal uneaten. Because it was so long before we were waited on or served we were late to our lecture in Chautauqua. I would have liked to give the hotel 5 stars but the breakfast literally left a bad taste in our mouths.

The breakfast was good. The service was horrible. The waitress completely ignored me. The bar was nice. I really enjoyed sitting outside at the fireplace. The room was gorgeous. I loved the walk-in shower. altogether the entire place was absolutely just gorgeous. The staff was very nice at check-in. I didn’t get a chance to use the pool or the hot tub any of them. I would definitely rebook here again.

The only negative part was I couldn’t use the balcony which I made sure to get. It was covered in bird poop. Birds were constantly out there. They might be living there.

The entire resort was a pleasant surprise for 4 sisters weekend. We enjoyed the lakefront, pool and Carosel Bar. We also had dinner in the restaurant, it was very busy but Ryan our waiter really went out of his way to be sure we received top notch service and his sense of humor with us senior ladies was really fun. Thank you Ryan. There was also a maid on Saturday night that was very pleasant and welcoming and provided us with the additional linen we required along with directions. Our entire experience was wonderful. Our expectations were exceeded.

The room was clean as could be. The view of the harbor and the hotel grounds are beautiful. Staff was friendly and helpful The front desk was always there to greet and assist you in any way. Housekeeping was great. Even room service was quick as could be expected and they brought up everything you could need and the food was hot. The restaurant downstairs serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We ate there several times and the food was always delicious. Would highly recommend a stay here to anyone.

My wife and I have no complaints.

The facility and the hotel staff were great. Hotel is nicely situated on lake; patios comfortably furnished for dining or lounging. Food was good and portions generous.

Restaurant didn't seem particularly busy but service was exceedingly slow. Took an hour from when we sat down to get entrees. Our server was very apologetic: comp'ed us appetizers, which, as hungry travelers we ate, and by the time the entrees came we were too full to eat much more. Apart from that, our server could not have been nicer.

This hotel has thought of everything - from the amazing spots outside to sit and watch the sunset to the turndown service with chocolates on our pillows at night. Also, the bed was super comfy. I literally took a picture of the tag on the sheets because I wanted to purchase them. :) We were only there for a night but could have definitely stayed longer. We were in town for the Comedy Festival and this hotel was very accessible to the events by car.

The price for our stay was a bit steep, but you get what you pay for!

The Harbor Hotel on Lake Chautauqua was absolutely beautiful. The grounds and outside activities was festive and very pleasant with outdoor seating, beautiful gardens, lakeside walkway, ..... a band that played in front of the lake.

Upon entering our room, it just didn't seem to live up to the beauty of the rest of the hotel. Seemed kinda plain, minimum decorations, lack of a coffee pot. Was not able to reach the shower head. We did enjoy the patio off our room facing the lake
