We booked this stay after a late change in plans required us to be overnight in Oswego; I had to work after dropping parties off at a day-long event and not only was the room very spacious, clean, and comfortable, but the staff went above and beyond in accommodating me with a late checkout and then allowing me to stay on site for over another hour to complete my work and offering me a private spot in the breakfast area to work undisturbed. Breakfast was adequate, well stocked and staffed, and what you would expect from a hotel at this level.

The ONLY criticism of the hotel was the layout and availability of a single elevator - our hotel room was almost at the clear end of the very long hallway/wing system; would have been better to make the front desk more central, but I realize that's a design choice that was made long ago and not anything really fixable.

Tristan was very helpful when one room key didn't work at first. Beds very comfortable, room super clean. Love the river views and the generous breakfasts. Walk to lots of good restaurants, and minutes from SUNY.

Only 1/3 roll of toilet paper left in our room when we arrived. Tristan helped with that, too. It would have neen nice to be able to drop room keys downstairs by the back entrance, given the snow and need to park back there. I ended up bringing them home--sorry!

I loved the courtesy, helpfulness, and friendliness of the staff from the wonderful young lady who checked us in to the dining staff who assisted us at breakfast time. There was a nice array of breakfast choices and the hot portion was very tasty. I am looking forward to our next stay with the hopes that we will have time to splash around in the pool (it looked so inviting!) and run a couple of laps on the treadmill 😄. The quick drive to the Oswego campus was an additional plus.

I hated that we were only there for one night. I regret not booking Best Western for the last two times we were there---lesson learned. We totally got and were beyond satisfied with what we paid for.

We absolutely enjoyed our view of the river and lake from our room. The breakfast each morning was warm and delicious with lots of different foods to choose from. The staff was very friendly and helpful with any questions we asked.

I absolutely can’t think of anything else we could possibly have needed during our stay. Everything was perfect! We wouldn’t change anything.

Clean room, beautiful view, great breakfast spread, most staff were very pleasant, comfortable beds. Almost every room has a beautiful view of either the river/ canal or the lake. Although we didn't get a chance to use any, there is a pool, sauna, and restaurant . Room also has a small kitchenette.

-Paid extra for a Lakeview room which was nice but the standard river rooms had just as nice of a view. (MOST rooms have a water view) -Everytime we flushed the toilet we had to take the top off the toilet and manually set the flange otherwise it would keep running. - No complimentary bottled water in room as advertised. - Toilet in lobby didn't flush - morning desk clerk was rude -shower temperature had a hard time regulating.

This is a good basic hotel with a nice view of the river. Not a far drive from things to do in Oswego and an easy drive to Syracuse. Comfy bed and comfy couch.

It's a little dated, though clean, with some scuffs here and there. Not a ton to do in the general vicinity so need to drive places, though not far.

nothing! liked everything -- except for the fact that we had to walk up 2 sets of stairs from the back parking lot to get to the elevator! i've never run into that weird setup ANYWHERE else. very odd. we're older, knees are starting to go, so stairs were uncomfortable.

The staff lady went out of her way to upgrade our room because the hotel was not fully book! She did this on her own and made sure we had a great stay! This is the way to assure repeat business and a high recommendation to others to use The Best Western in Oswego. I am only sorry that I didn't get her name so I could acknowledge her in the form.

Staff was amazing , booking reversed my first and last name , and the young lady at the front desk patiently worked on not being able to find us .. had not been for her we would have been looking for other accommodations , staff is very friendly !! Breakfast was plentiful , with a wide variety to choose from

Our beds were very firm , uncomfortably firm !! Slept like you know what !!!!

Breakfast was great and frequently refilled. The layout was a bit confusing and waiting for the elevators took a while. The pool was fun and also had a sauna and steam room. Great location for fishing being right on the river. Beds and rooms were clean.
