I had a wonderful stay at Graystone! My room was modern, clean, comfortable, and accommodating. The bed was so comfy that I slept like a baby. The staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. Also, I enjoyed the comp chocolate chip cookies at the front desk. Breakfast was very good and tasty, with a wide variety of dishes to choose from. The quiche was yummy! The pool looked amazing, but I didn't get a chance to use it because of my schedule.
The view from my room was only the parking lot, not too appealing. Also, I'd recommend making sure the items in the room's bathroom are well stocked. We did run out of a couple of items in our bathroom and had to request more. But the staff brought it up to our room immediately.

The staff was really kind and efficient and funny. The breakfast was excellent, the room was comfortable and well appointed, the whole place was beautifully decorated. The gift shop had locally made beer and handicrafts. All of the art on the walls was real art by local artists. Overall, it was just really nice and everything I could’ve hoped for for our property in this price range.
It was a little away from downtown or the Appalachian State campus, but really that was no problem at all. It was only a 10 minute drive.

Close to where I was taking classes.
At first they put me on the second floor without telling me that all there dog owners stayed on the 1st. & 2 nd floor. I did not have a dog. It was noisy. I had to call the front desk to ask the people in the hall way to stop talking so loud. I was finally able to get some sleep around midnight. I was able to get a room on the 3rd. floor the next day. The floors in the both rooms were dirty. There is no carpet in the rooms which is fine by me, but they need to clean the floors better. My feet were black just walking around in the room. And I was only there in the evening. I watched them clean and there need to do a better job and use a better system to mop the floors.

Room was very nice and big. The bed could have been a little softer or maybe had a additional pillowtop added to it. But have seen harder beds in other locations. The breakfast was great every morning and had a exceptional staff that was very helpful. we were amazed on how they were constantly cleaning the whole place inside and out. We will definitely stay there again. That will be our go to place when going to Boone in the future.
Bed needed to be softer. Personal preference.

The property itself was beautiful.
We come to Boone a couple times a year for a quick get away and have stayed at another hotel for years but I wanted to try something new. The issue we had was an additional $5 at check in and another $5 at 2:30 am. We asked why these charges happened but no one knew. One person said, It just happens sometimes, another said, maybe it is this or that, sorry. While it’s “only” $10, as one of them said, we wanted an explanation so maybe that could be something they could have a better understanding of. Because while I could understand that things happen my husband was more concerned that his card was being hit extra for something no one could explain.

Very clean, modern facilities and room. Loved the mountain scene above the bed! Good breakfast. Good location. Good bed. Good everything. I contacted the property before arrival to ask for anything they could do for my partner's birthday -> a note and a few items were in our room upon arrival. Absolutely intend to stay at this hotel again.
This is odd, but the only coffee machines I could see for breakfast were not actually in the breakfast area. ? Very minor and didn't negatively affect our stay at all.

My wife and I took our granddaughter for a getaway while she had a school break and had a wonderful time. The hotel was conveniently located to anyplace we wanted to go and the service, food and establishment was everything we hoped for and more. We even took our little shi zu and she enjoyed it also. Look forward to staying there again.
I do think a $40 per night charge for a 7 lb. Puppy that doesn't make a sound is a little much but it was a great time.

We enjoyed everything about this hotel. It was very clean. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Breakfast was great just add some fresh fruit. Housekeeping may need to stay later than 3 pm for late sleepers. Although Tammy was very accommodating bringing extra towels. Her personality was so friendly and professional. Water temp in pool was to cold. Other than that our stay was very nice. We will be coming back in November. Same room again please. Sincerely, Angelia Teague.
Pool was too cold. Housekeeping needs to stay later for those that sleep later.

I brought my daughter to Boone for her 15th birthday and Graystone did not disappoint!! The property was immaculate and updated! Even my teenager was impressed! The rooms were spacious and beds were incredibly comfortable! The complimentary breakfast was great! Centrally located near an abundance of restaurants and stores. Close distance to downtown Boone. Plenty of parking and check in was a breeze! Staff was incredibly present and helpful with any questions or issues that we had.
The walls seem comparatively thinner than most as we could hear everything going on outside of our room but I feel this is to be somewhat expected with any hotel! Air went out the first night we were there **BUT** the staff took action immediately and the issue was quickly resolved the very next afternoon.

The location was good and not too far from Tweetsie Railroad. Breakfast options were good, especially since I was traveling with four little kids.
I would’ve liked to have seen better meal options in their market. Or if they could’ve had a restaurant on site for dinner so we wouldn’t have to go out and seek additional dinner options for food. I really enjoy the convenience, especially since I travel with four little kids and I didn’t wanna have to take them back out after a long day at The Tweetsie railroad amusement park.
