A really cool lodge in the woods. It had some pleasant woody smell. Really a place to relax and unwind. Not far away from Bryson city which is a little cute city. Also many hikes are found in the region which are pretty cool!
Only small details that don't make it a 10/10: The TV in the neighboring room was right next to our bed. The rooms are a bit noisy and the neighboring guest was watching TV at 2am. That was annoying. When we wanted to check in in the evening we had not yet received a code to open the room. The telephone numbers provided didn't work and nobody answered. Luckily we received a code by sms after 10 minutes. Another guest had not turned off the campfire properly and so it smoked all night, which is not good for people with breathing problems and the room smelled of smoke. Would be great if there is a sign or something to tell people to put out the fire correctly.

The Lodge is clean, updated and adorable. The owners went out of their way to find cute decorative touches that make you feel that you are in the mountains without being over the top. They communicated my check-in and checkout information by text which is definitely my preference. I was able to park go directly to my room and sit on the beautiful porch right outside my door to decompress. This is truly a gem.
The walls are thin, as should be expected at rustic lodges, so if you are one who can't sleep at the slightest sound, pack your ear plugs. As a regular traveler, I always have a set with me.

We booked on short notice, so perhaps our rate was lower than some others, definitely felt it was a great value. We loved the tongue and groove wood finish. Bed and linens were very comfortable. We loved the decor and the American flag outside of every room. A lovely place to sit and relax! You could always hear the river!
In trying to provide extra value to their guests, they converted a big bathroom vanity to a small kitchenette. But only left an RV size sink for bathroom hand washing. Because of the location of the utensils, etc. I would feel like I would have to wash everything before I used it- but we weren’t there long enough to cook.

Such a beautiful lodge, room and location! We had an absolutely wonderful stay. The rooms were very clean! We loved how personable the lodge was and just cozy! They thought of everything from charcoal to fire pits , picnic tables , swings and games for family time! So peaceful! You can hear the creek running off the mountain from the rocking chairs on the porch! We have already recommended the Lodge to family and will definitely stay again!!!
The bed was a little to firm for us but will not stop us from staying here again! Lots of pros and the firm bed was our only con!

It was a very beautiful location! The rooms were very clean and relaxing. From the rocking chairs on the front porch, to the fire pit complete with everything needed for a good s’more, it was a great place to stay! Only concern due to rain causing the black top to be quite slick, we weren’t able to make it to the parking lot a few times we were coming and going. The walk up the hill (from lot below main parking) was quite steep and although great cardio, unexpected
See above comment regarding the slick road. No 4 wheel drive and even overdrive didn’t help

It was definitely unique! We loved the log cabin feel! We were in the woods and it felt very remote, but it was close to the road. They provided marshmallows, chocolate, graham crackers, and bonfire for s’mores that was the highlight of our stay. It was great and I would stay there again, my son enjoyed it too!
My bed was a little hard, but everyone has their own preferences. A little noisy in the morning with all the families waking up early and running down the front deck area but other than that, it was great!

The location was perfect close to the road but far enough you didn't hear any vehicles. The outside amenities were great there were tons of grills and fire pits for everyone to use. The lodge supplied the fire wood and there was more than enough so we never ran out. The front porch was wide and had tons of seating area for people to gather and talk if they wanted. Quiet time was respected by everyone. 100% recommend and will be back.
The toilet seat was small and round a little tight for big guys. The first handicap parking spot next to the ramp should be a loading spot not a parking spot. Motorcycle parking spot got blocked by people that couldn't read the signs.

It was a cozy place with not a lot of traffic around. The room was clean with all the necessary items and I liked the outdoor seating areas. If you are looking for a quiet place or want to do water or other adventures then this is a good place to stay at.
One minor thing I can say I did not like is the bathroom sink, it was tiny, and there is no room to put any toiletries. Also pull your car to the top of the driveway to unload and load your luggage unless you don't mind a mini uphill hike.

Great fire pits and picnic areas with grills. Great babbling brook next to the lodge. Love the rocking chairs! Just be prepare for how small the kitchenette and bathroom are but totally usable (we loved it, but others just need to be prepared).
WiFi password did not work but since we were only there for one night we didn't ask for the updated one. The small bathroom (which was excellent) has the TP holder (which has a light that turns on along with the toilet!) and extra towels are right next to the sink so water gets splashed on them. Not ideal.

We loved the location of the lodge, the spaciousness of our unit and all the extra amenities included. It was furnished so tastefully and cute with nice linens and fluffy towels. This was probably cleaner than any place we have ever stayed which is a high priority for us. Being able to enjoy the outside surroundings, the peacefulness, and fresh air was a bonus. If we had been able to enjoy another night or two, we would've taken advantage of a campfire, s'mores, and the beautiful evenings.
The only downside was the steep walk up to the lodge. Can only imagine it could be a struggle for some people.
