The staff is always so friendly and helpful! I had forgotten my raincover for my backpack and the front desk person provided me with a couple of large garbage bags that REALLY SAVED us on our hike back down Mt. LeConte. I didn't even have to stop and dig out my rain gear, I just put the entire bag on over me and my pack and stayed dry in a torrential downpour. So kudos to the front desk guy - sorry I didn't get your name! This was our second stay here. The value for the price you pay is great. Nice, clean rooms with comfortable beds. I recommend this place to our friends and family that might come to this area.

The free breakfast is really basic, if they were to expand it a little more that would be great. But not an absolute necessity because there are amazing breakfast places nearby!

The gentleman who checked us in the evening we arrived was great! Had a great conversation with him over my free coffee in the lobby. The room we ended up in was comfortable enough bedding wise. Further explanation in the "What didn't you like?" section. Breakfast was good. Nice selection of items, both hot and cold.

The first room we were given smelled horribly musty. We tried "burning" it out with the heat but after 5 mins I was getting a headache. We were given another room right away. Being in the country, there may be things uncontrollable by the property. Such is the case during the season we were there. We had several "roommates" during our stay. Copious amounts of lady bugs and a few stink bugs. They do have a sign at the front desk explaining/warning of this. We didn't find it too off-putting during our 2 nights.

I am so frustrated with myself for not remembering the name of the guy that checked us IN on Thursday. But PLEASE let him know that we really appreciate everything he did to assist our family. We had five rooms and he did what he could to make sure we were all on the second floor, even the one that couldn’t get there til Friday night. We were scattered by we were within visiting and borrowing distance WITHOUT having to take the stairs or elevator. The kind of bedroom shoes, night caps and pajamas distance from each other without scaring our guests. Thank You All So Much for Making Our Stay safe , comfortable and relaxed / laidback.

The carpet in the hallway on the second floor ALMOST made me trip and fall, but my husband helped break the fall. The entrance door to the elevator from the parking lot was a pain because we had to pull really hard to get in and if that didn’t work we had to go through the check in/out door.Which was ok except for the days it was raining. But still not a big deal.

The room was clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was just where we wanted to be. It was located near everything we wanted to do. The breakfast was always hot, fresh and delicious. Lots of choices. When we booked this hotel, we reserved 3 rooms and asked that they be as close together as possible. Was really surprised that 2 were side by side and the other was directly across the hall. Really happy about that as we were traveling with a 2 year old and could send her from room to room without worries.

We just couldn't figure out the TV system. Not the hotel's fault.

I arrived very late in the town of Cherokee. I booked the room after midnight assuming that I could just check in. I was dead tired after driving from Orlando. I couldn't wait till 3pm to check in but the manager allowed me to check in anyways (God-sent...) and took my word that I'd be checking out earlier than 11am as I planned on hitting the Smokey Mountains early to visit Clingman's dome. I woke up to a nice breakfast and headed out but ended up stopping at a Veteran's Memorial on the way and I stopped to walk along the most beautiful stream that I've ever seen in my lifetime. The town of Cherokee was so inviting and there was so much to do from tubing along the lazy like river, horseback riding, hiking beside the waterfalls, and so much more. When I go back to the Smokey's with my kids I'll lodge at the Cherokee Inn again and show them this prettiest of cities.

That I couldn’t stay longer than a day since I had to get back to New York

The beds were so comfortable. Room was nice and cool when we stepped in to room. The toiletries went a step and beyond by providing a shower cap, qtips, cottonballs, fingernail file and makeup remover wipe. This may seem small bit it is huge for that couple traveling on a motorcycle. It was also nice to have a decent breakfast available. I would definitely stay here again if opportunity presents itself.

There wasn't anything that we didn't like. The staff was friendly and put us in a room where we could keep check on our motorcycle that we had parked.

The staff was exceptional! They were kind, helpful and very friendly. Our room was clean and the bed was ok, a/c worked well, water pressure was good. The breakfast was very good.

Our beds were very firm. A little padding would have helped. There was an odd smell on the 2nd floor everyday. It smelled like someone cooking. There was a dog across the hall, and could see cats in a 1st floor window from the parking lot. We thought this was a pet free hotel😔. Maybe that was the smell?

The staff were amazing! The TV in my room didn't work so the guy on shift did everything he could to get it working. When he couldn't fix it, he found me the closest available room and switched me to that one. Breakfast was unbelievably good. There was both hot and cold food available and plenty of vegetarian options, which is unusual. There was coffee available in the lobby all day and the bed was super comfy. It is only about a 4 minute drive from the river front.

The only reason I haven't given this hotel a 10 is because of the location. I am a walker but there is no bars/restaurants/things to do within walking distance of this hotel. You need a car to get anywhere. Out of the window was a hill so it was also very dark in the room without the lights on. This would not stop me staying here again.

The property was very clean. Rooms met all of our needs, great bedding and the beds weren’t sky-high. Water pressure was very good. Breakfast was awesome. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The man that checked us in helped us with our remote and made sure we knew to call him if we needed anything else. The lady and young man that set up breakfast were also wonderful to meet and very helpful on local information.

There was no sign out front. It was a little confusing when you are trying to find it. But once you do, it’s a great place to stay and we will be back.

I love the location and the delicious breakfast they had every morning😊 and all the staff was super sweet. I am planning an another trip to Cherokee in summer of 2025 and this is my choice of hotel, I will be making reservations at!!)

There wasn’t really anything I didn’t like. Just a suggestion about the pool, it could use a update, the pool liner is faded and it makes the pool water look green, but other than that, it was fabulous and my grandchildren loved the pool.
