⭐ 4 out of 5 stars — Great weekend stay at Hyatt Place Greensboro Downtown I stayed one night for a weekend trip with my son. We took the train from Raleigh and visited the International Civil Rights Museum, which was within walking distance from both the Amtrak station and the hotel — very convenient! The hotel also sits right beside the baseball field, and from the second floor you can walk out and enjoy a beautiful view of the stadium and pool area. The cleanliness of the hotel was excellent. My room was spacious and comfortable — I really appreciated having so much space to relax. The staff were friendly, professional, and responsive throughout our stay. One nice feature was that they offered food service throughout much of the day and evening, up until 11 PM. However, I would have preferred if we could have ordered from the room instead of having to go downstairs to place the order and pick it up, since there was no room service. Breakfast was included and pretty good overall. They offered a variety of teas, coffee, and standard continental options. The only downside was the eggs — they were powdered and a bit too liquidy for my taste, but everything else was fresh and satisfying. The location is great for both business travelers and families. I'm not sure about their pet policy, but public transportation is easily accessible nearby. My only other minor complaint was that there was no shelf or storage space in the bathroom for personal belongings. Overall, it was a clean, comfortable stay with great service and a very convenient location. I would definitely stay again — especially if you’re traveling by train or car and want to be close to downtown activities.

The continental breakfast was actually pretty good here! One day they had monkey bread as one of the options, and the next day they had waffle sticks. Yum! I loved that it was a parking garage situation so our vehicle could be out of the elements as long as there was parking on the lower level, which there always was. The elevators were always quick too, so it was an easy in and out when we wanted to leave and come back. Our favorite aspect of this hotel is that it's pet friendly and doesn't seem to charge extra for it either. We were able to bring our well-behaved old man cat and he seemed to quite enjoy the room as well. As far as noises from other pets, all we ever heard was a single cute meow from the hallway or neighboring room, and didn't hear any dogs barking at all for our 3 nights.

The air conditioner is super loud and made some strange noises at times. We also like to sleep with it being very cold and both of us felt it didn't go cold enough, so we were waking up hot in the night. Being downtown, there was also a good bit of street noise, even after midnight as the party folks with the loud mufflers were passing by. The noise maker app that we used helped but didn't eliminate the sounds, so we didn't get the best sleep. In addition, we are side/tummy sleepers so the pillows were a bit too fluffy for us. The mattress was definitely cozy though and, overall, we loved our stay here and would book again.

Great location. Friendly and helpful staff. Convenient to the Tanger Center and ball park for shows and easy walk to the social district !! More reasonable than other options in Downtown GSO

Don't like paying for parking at a hotel that should provide it already. Breakfast just "ok" (cold turkey sausage and scrambled eggs had to be eaten with a spoon they were chopped so tiny). Thankful for the hard boiled eggs available!!! Bar kitchen closes at 9 even though website says available til midnight.

The hotel was a great location and walkable to many things in downtown. We arrived early. Kerrigan who was at the front counter did her best to get us checked in to at least one of our rooms early so we could start getting ready for a wedding we were attending that night. We had a bad iron and Alex head of housekeeping got it replaced right away. There seemed to be staff cleaning constantly. The hotel was clean and the staff went above and beyond to take care of our needs. I would definitely stay here again.

We were very pleased with our entire stay at the hotel. Very convenient parking, easy check-in and check-out, great staff, location of the hotel is super convenient, allowing a walking experience to explore downtown, it is safe, and very pet friendly. The breakfast in the morning was perfect. Great variety of food and beverage options, fresh, clean, and pleasant. The rooms were nice, great sleeping experience, and very dog friendly.

I loved the fact that I was able to walk to the theater only two blocks away.

I don't like the fact that I drove to this hotel to spend the night and had to pay extra for the privilege of parking my car on hotel property. I also don't like the fact that I reserved a room with a king-sized bed but was given a room with two queens because the hotel gave all their king bed rooms away. Why was my reservation not honored? Why was I the one to lose their reserved room?

Excellent, stay.. great location. hotel staff. was very attentive.. Room was very comfortable nice, roomy. And the city view was awesome... I fell asleep like a baby. Breakfast was good.... first time in greensboro I would definitely come back..

I wouldn't say that I didn't like it but parking in the garage with a large SUV was a little challenge but yeah, not bad. It is typical, it is a parking garage after all.!!

This was our first time ever visiting Greensboro. We were only there two nights. We took the kids to the waterpark which they enjoyed. The people and the atmosphere were great. Didn't know there was so much to do there, we will definitely go back to Greensboro and hopefully get the same hotel. We had a great time. Oh and the ballfield could be seen from the hotel which was great.

Breakfast could have been a little better. Scrambled eggs tasted gross and the coffee was weak. The bagels were hard. I think the quality of the breakfast could have been better overall.

From walking in the door to check in to turning in the key the next day, my stay was amazing. The people are friendly, the facilities are spotless, the room was huge, the bed was amazing, and breakfast was fantastic. I could not be happier with my stay!
