Convenient location (to highway, food & shopping). Excellent food! I would travel the 3 1/2 hours back just to eat here! Very comfortable accommodations with every detail considered; night light in the bathroom, dimmers on most lights, a "directions" card on how to operate the in-room facilities, bluetooth speakers, bathtub tray with book & phone holders, bed pillows of different firmness, etc.

When checking in we had to walk around a moving truck blocking the main entrance - someone had booked a birthday party with props. I think someone with the hotel should have asked them to move 15 feet down the sidewalk so guests to enter & exit comfortably.

Wonderful staff, classy well maintained ambiance, beautiful. We stayed after hearing someone win a raffle for a 2 night stay at the "O Henry." (Won at the Wizard of Oz play at the Carolina) decided to see what the big deal was. The bed was cozy, our view was great. The room was neat and clean. Bathroom had a soaking tub(with rubber ducky) and stand up shower. Very comfortable stay. Our dinner server David, was absolutely wonderful. What a great personality! Friendly and engaging and he knew the menu well because everything he suggested was great! (I'm inclined to believe anything would have been good) We encountered several other staff members who were just as friendly(Jasmine(sp) in the restaurant, and Taylor? at the front desk) and you have one server who we noticed had really defined arm muscles. We asked her about it.. She is competitive (Please support her) those muscles were impressive! :)...but we spent the most time with Davjd ( over a meal). Also the exercise equipment was great(I especially liked the TRX straps) I could go on and on. Keep up the good work!

Almost because nothing could be perfect... we experienced probably the worst night you could imagine. At around 11pm the fire alarm went off and we were awaken in a full panic from a deep sleep. On the 8th floor!!! Yikes... Apparently it was a false alarm, but it kept going off. It would go on and off. We'd fall back asleep and then it would go off again. Repeat at least 8-10 times from 11pm until just after midnight. We heard the fire trucks come in with their sirens blaring too. Terrible, experience! But that was no fault of the staff and/or hotel. That kind of nonsense "just happens" at least you know your equipment works!! Haa.

Breakfast was good!!

Staying 2 Days and not being able to eat at your Restaurant was Ridiculous!! The public has more right to enjoy your facilities more than your paying guests!! We had to stand by the Bar and wait for possible spot at the Bar while the servers swerved around us accomadating the locals! Not Cool!! You would think paying the rate we did that we could have least been able to eat there!! 😢

Dining was convenient and we were able to walk through the hotel for our reservations. Rooms were exceptional. Bed and pillows were so comfortable. The bathroom and dressing area were the best we have had stateside. Overall, a wonderful experience for the family.

Maybe pancakes on the brunch menu for children.

Superb! Reminiscent of the Grand Hotels of the Craftsman era, the hotel reminded us of the Grove Park Inn in Asheville. Wonderful music playing as you walk up to the property and throughout. The brunch was delicious and reasonably priced. Service from all staff was excellent.

Nothing.

For this to be an older hotel you really couldn't tell, the upkeep was really well done. It was clean, quiet and had a very high end luxury feel to it. The room itself was really big for just one person, i appreciated the sitting area that you don't normally get in a queen sized room.

This was the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in, by far. Everything else was great too, but the hotel is worth it for the cleanliness alone! Also, check out time isn’t until noon which is another plus.

Nothing, I was satisfied.

From the arrival at the resturant to the end of our dining experience the host and servers were excellent. The food was excellent, beyond compare.

The price per night is a bit steep. At least one meal per person should be completely complementary.

Hotel overall was very clean. Including the room. They have done a great job with the decor and design making you feel as if you have stepped back in time. We ate two meals at Green Valley Grill (dinner and brunch) and both were excellent. Enjoyed the aveda bath products and harney & sons tea (which I happen to drink at home) ! Would most definitely stay here again,
