Location was great, even though on a major travel route in/out of town. Staff very friendly. Vibe best described as Woodstocky cool. Bed was super comfortable and studio room was great space. Hadn't spun vinyl in over 30 years so listening to Al Green on a record player brought us back with a big smile.

Road next to hotel was being paved so parking limited during our stay. Staff's cars, Delivery vehicles and paving machines occupied the few available spaces and that required guests to park around the block and walk to the hotel during the day and night. Understand this is a temporary problem, but I think the 6 parking spaces along the street should be reserved for hotel guests. Banana bread and fresh brewed, tasty coffee in am a nice touch, but not everyone like bananas so maybe a second choice or flavor rotation could be considered.

We had an overall wonderful stay in Outpost Inn. Very comfortable beds with a fireplace to warm it up when needed. I would like to highlight the great service received from all personnel, always very kind and supportive with all requests we had.

Price was a little bit high considering that breakfast was not included. You could order a coffee and some breakfast there separately, but the standar coffee was over 7 us dollars.

I did not see breakfast,but the location is excellent-walking distance from the the center.At first they offer to us different room-small,but nice looking.But the heater did not work.I asked for another room.So ,the lady from the front desk checked the availability and in couple of minutes we had another room with fire place-very worm and clean and very nice.Untill waiting for the room the lady offer to us glass of champaign or beer for welcome

The check in time is very late for me.Even I sent message to the property about early arrival,we had the room at 4:00p.m.

We stayed in The Grand, room 13. The room was perfect for us. The shower was amazing! The room was immaculate and easily accessible from the parking area. It has a fire pit outside, which we enjoyed on our first night. There is a coffee/wine bar in the lobby. The lobby is decorated so nice! The location was perfect for shopping and eating downtown.

Great place with a quirky vibe, but clean and well maintained. Nice social spaces in the lobby and with the fire pits, but the room was very quiet and private considering the unusual layout. Close enough to walk to town but far enough out to feel away from the hustle and bustle.

Cars drag when entering/exiting the road to the back parking lot. No outlets at bedside for phone chargers.

Unique room/site design, fireplace, coffee bar and banana bread.

Shower drained very slowly - maybe drain pipe needs cleanout? Hue of light bulb over bathroom sink should be warm (2700K) to match the overall warm atmosphere of the room, rather than cool blue.

After a long day of working at a wedding event, I was absolutely delighted when I walked into cabin number six! It felt like a hug 🤗 I could not have decorated it in a more charming way if I tried, every detail of the room was handpicked for comfort and charm! I would come back to Highlands just to stay at this place with my husband next time!

Outpost Inn is a dream! Our room was much larger than expected and the entire hotel space feels intimate, cozy and mountainy. The living/lobby area was gorgeous and we found ourselves relaxing here with our coffees by the fire. The location is perfect, just a short walk into town but away from the hustle and bustle.

The room was very cozy and inviting. My wife and I loved the mounted deer above our bed, and the shower was spectacular.

The entrance door to the room has a window in it with roman type shade that you could raise and lower. The only problem was it didn't cover the window perfectly, so you could see in just a little. I would suggest adding some type of opaque film that will help obscure the view but provide sufficient light.

I am most grateful for the kindness of the staff. I left a suitcase and they have bern especially kind and attentive to my need to have it shipped. I am forever appreciative of their help .. above and beyond! The staff is definitely gracious and helpful in all situations.

Could have used a closet.
