The price of a night's stay was a pleasant surprise when I booked the room, especially considering I would have paid close to the same at a 2-star Best Western motel that had rooms open to the outdoors. This Holiday Inn just felt so much safer. I had just driven up to Rocky Mount from Florida when I finally checked in close to 10p.m. on Tuesday night. The lady at the front desk was warm and friendly and told me she had a sister who lives in my hometown where I was headed. She also told me about the bar being open which, on any other night, I might have taken advantage of, but I was too tired. I slept very comfortably and woke well-rested to continue my drive home the following morning. I did not get the breakfast, however, because I was told it was not included with my stay. I think the price was $12 or something close to that. I decided I just wanted to get on the road and found breakfast for $6 when I stopped to fill the gas tank.

I had no issues. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

The bar service and the breakfast service. It was quite apparent that there was a shortage of service help. ( if this is not the case, then the service was worse than I thought; and the meal and bar areas are being very poorly run. I tried to excuse a lot because it seemed there was a shortage of qualified help.)…..a channel guide for the tv would have been very helpful and bar soap in the bathroom would have been appreciated.

Bar and restaurant were handy and the staff were very courteous and accommodating to guests. Very handy being able to order a nice breakfast in the morning. Hubby left his glasses at the bar, and the bartender put his name on them and left them at the front desk for him. TJ saves the day!! Not only does she mix nice drinks, she has that Holiday Inn customer service difference.

Room was exquisite, wonderfully furnished this will be my place away from home.

There was nothing not to like, I really didn't mind giving up the kitchen for more living space. The lighting switches in the living area were a little hard to figure out, but I have nothing else. Thanks holiday Inn.

The staff was amazing. Overall very 5 ⭐. The dining option was great.

The elevator was low oxygen/ air flow. As an asthmatic I struggled with coming down from the 5th floor. The facility amenities were above my expectations from the size of the pool to the 24 hour gym availability.

The property was good front desk staff was friendly and easy check in

Everything was okay I think housekeeping should check and move the pull out bed more often lots of trash under the chair other than that everything was clean.

The bar was Nice!

You charge for your breakfast and do not offer a continental breakfast. There is a Cracker Barrel, and a Waffle House LITERALLY, within walking distance of the hotel. But you all choose to charge for breakfast. That makes no sense. We also would’ve liked to enjoy the pool however we were informed that the pool has been down for over two years due to costs. Do not advertise or show pictures of a pool you all do not have!

The room was comfortable and well-appointed. The bathroom was smallish but comfortable as well. Great complimentary soaps (Dove brand). The bed was amazingly comfortable after driving in from Myrtle Beach. The breakfast was hearty and inexpensive. Also loved the numerous ports and outlets and cute seating around the room. Very close to great dining options.

The restaurant menu for dinner was super basic and has no seafood options at all. The heating and cooling was a little off, but turning the thermostat to 75 helped a lot.

Breakfast was very good; staff was very friendly; prices were very reasonable. Fireplace was nice, water & coffee in the lobby was a nice touch. We were able to sit at a table & play a card game. We were very happy with our stay.

Had early departure so didn’t have breakfast. But I had coffee. Check in was excellent. Room was also great. Room was clean and plenty of towels

We were only there about 12 hours but in that time everything was great.
