It's probably the first time I ever slept in a museum the house is just amazing $130 years old and well furnished with a lot of good vibes feeling I liked the atmosphere the happy people like Mélanie the owner and Rodney, taking great care of us with a beautiful smile and loads of stories Another amazing experience is being in the house that's been moved with trucks to another location and its original state in order to save a history building from destruction I like how we will received in the beautiful living room 4 a Amazing breakfast excellent One of The Best I had j, because it's made just for you with great ingredients and local food we had beautifully honey yogurt with strawberries we had bacon and a egg omelette with spinach I really mean it when I grade this experience and hotel 10 /10

Nothing at all it got way above over my expectation

Everything! Wonderful, restored older home with great accents throughout. Although I only made it to one breakfast, it was superb. The staff were charming and service oriented. The location was walkable to downtown and various restaurants - I didn't even need to rent a car. I would stay there again in a heartbeat, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

No accessible outlet in the bathroom would be my only complaint. I would bring an extension cord next time.

The staff was exceptional. Joanie took care of us for breakfast and was accommodating and professional. The chef cooked an amazing (and filling) breakfast. We appreciated Amelia showing us all the amenities - especially the Butler's Pantry which was kept stocked with teas, snacks and water. The location was perfectly situated near the small historic downtown with tons of shops and eating places. The Shelby Cafe treated us like locals and had great cafe food. Overall, it was a welcoming B&B and we'll return when we're back in that area.

This house was stunning! The staff was so friendly! The food was delicious! The room was immaculate! The location was convenient! I can't say enough about how amazing my stay was.. I have already recommended it to everyone in the area!

A floor length mirror would be a nice addition but that is not a complaint at all!

If we could give 100 out of 10 we would. The accommodation was olde worlde and classic. So beautifully furnished. This was our best stay ever. We met the owner who is absolutely delightful. The breakfast in the morning was exceptional and the staff who were serving were so lovely. The location had excellent access to Charlotte international airport. It was the perfect end to our USA holiday.

Absolutely nothing to dislike

Perfect location 5 mins walk into Shelby. Beautiful place, super comfortable beds and very quiet at night. Owner and staff are very friendly and can't do enough for you. The best breakfast you will find anywhere and different dishes are offered each day. Wonderful stay. JM -Liverpool UK

The entire experience was wonderful. From the greeting to the goodbye, I loved everything. Melanie was very accommodating, the room was private and very comfortable. The sheets!!! We’re so soft and amazing. The house is simply amazing, second only to the hospitality. Will be back soon!

The location was great for walking downtown. The hostesses were great and so accommodating. Breakfast on Saturday was exceptional. Loved the grits and apple pastries particularly. If back in the area, we will definitely stay again.

It was not a particular problem for us but the street noise would be our only complaint. That said, that is the case in all other overnight accommodations

Breakfast was ok. Nothing special. But the home has character. Built in 1910 and moved to this location from across the street. It has been updated with modern facilities. Beautiful inside. Good , quiet location.

ConsiDering this is a bed and breakfast, we expected special breakfast, but it was pretty plain and simple.

The environment retained a “Historic” feel with modern amenities infused….

One small possible improvement…..the Bedroom could benefit from having a small trash or waste basket….besides the one in the Bathroom.
