A quiet, private place in spite of being a motel close to a major road, Thunderbird Lodge is perfect for a couple of days' stay. The receptionist was wonderfully helpful and the room perfectly clean, with a coffee machine and an option of adjusting the temperature to whatever one prefers. It's a motel, so it offers no breakfasts, but there is a grocery store and some eateries close by; the university and museums downtown are within 45 minutes of brisk walk. All in all, the place offers as much or more as an average hotel for a lesser prize -- I definitely recommend it.

The room was clean and spacious. Regular room still has coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator. Bathtubs are something I sort by😁 and was grateful to find this one normal sized and clean!! Restful night's sleep on a good mattress, fresh smelling/clean linens. AC/heat unit works great, quiet and no odor. The room also had 2 arm chairs w/coffee table. I relaxed before bed in one while crafting. There is also a desk, luggage rack, iron and board along with hair dryer. Staff is super sweet!! Upon check-in, asked if we needed anything, directions etc. Well versed on surrounding casinos, dining and stores. Clerk this morning is just as friendly and helpful. We like to support small businesses and doing so here was super easy!! We will definitely return. We usually stay at casinos but when I'm the area I will choose here every time!!! Price is half of the casino so I'm grateful they were completely booked. We checked in behind another customer, and there were plenty of vehicles parked but it felt and sounded as though we were the only ones here. 😁

It was a rough trip, several things has gone wrong yet not one negative about this property!!

Was clean and looked pretty nice. But you can see it is a work in progress for sure. They are fixing up an older hotel. Room was clean and so were the sheets. And they had a Queen bed and it was a smoking room which I liked because I am a smoker.. And it didn’t smell like a smoking room like some other place I have stayed in before.. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I would stay there again for sure..

The fan in the bathroom was really loud and it would have been nice if it was on it’s own switch where i didn’t have to turn it on at the same time.. And the bed was kinda uncomfortable, but I’m not use to the old spring type mattress either. Other than those two things it was a nice stay..

The property is a budget one which is undergoing much needed renovation. That said, it had everything we needed and was a good value for the money. We stayed in a two bedded studio with good size fridge, microwave and full range/stove. Staff was exceptional and immediately responsive to our needs. Beds were comfortable, linens soft and the shower head was great.

The very tired and deteriorating interior finishes will do well to be updated. Cabinet doors sometimes were askew, carpet defects, etc. The unit could use a baking sheet since there is an oven provided.

The female host was very helpful by calling me 5 hours before my arrival time to check if I was having any problems traveling from Saline, Kansas. She even offered to stay past the time her shift ended to make sure I received my room key. I really appreciated the personal customer service she provided. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

The sign of the hotel didn't have a light on the signage making it difficult to find the property at night.

This place is dated but very clean and very nice inside. The room was spotless. Big TV for viewing and 2 arm chairs. (i prefer to sit than lay watching TV) The area was very quiet on the older side of town. Only ones I saw roaming the parking lot were some stray cats. If you want a nice quiet place to stay this is it.

The person who checked us in at curbside was especially pleasant. She was friendly and welcoming, asked us engaging questions, and offered helpful suggestions to a few of our requests. She even shared some of her personal experiences... it was a warm conversation like I would expect to have with friends or family. I was very pleased with our experience.

The property looks older and lacks cosmetic flare. It is clean and we were pleased with our room.

We will stay here again. Mel at the front desk is a delight to talk to. The room was clean and comfortable. It is the best value in norman. If you are traveling from the SEC, stay here. I recommend staying on the second floor since it is a motel. This avoids headlights shining in your window and is quieter.

Conveniently located near the interstate. Plenty of parking. Spacious room. Quality amenities; for example, the fridge was larger than most motels and had a separate freezer. Staff service was exceptional. The A/C had been turned on before my arrival and this was most appreciated given the triple digit temperature. If I’m ever in town, this is where I’ll be staying.

The staff was the best part. I believe the woman's name was Mel. She was so very friendly and went out of her way to make suggestions when asked, help us find locations and check us in quickly. It was cold when we arrived and the heater was already turned on in the room when we came in : )

I can't think of anything that I didn't like. The value was great for the rate that they charged and the facility was clean and tidy.
