Big room. Excellent bed. Clean. Cheerful staff.

Room was very dry. We were thirsty all the time, but there was a limit of one each bottled water they would give you, so we had to find a store to buy water. There are no grocery stores nearby (2 miles away.) Breakfast was an extra charge and the room was already expensive. We would have stayed somewhere else, but this was near a medical appointment. No restaurant, only a bar. Refrigerator was warm. We complained, but no one fixed it. Someone told us how to turn it up, and it required lifting the refrigerator out of a cupboard while bending over. Microwave was broken. It wouldn't shut off. Again, no one fixed it while we were there (5 nights).

We were in Bend for a company Christmas party. The Newberry was a short walk from the party, making it ideal for our stay. We had a little balcony on our first floor room. The change in elevation allowed for a nice little view at the balcony. The room was extremely clean and well kept. It is large enough to accommodate an extended stay without feeling cramped or boxed in. The bed was soft, without being too soft, and we slept in for the first time in ages. The staff were all very friendly, from the front desk attendant to the bartender and breakfast host. We would definitely consider staying here again.

A complimentary breakfast would be a nice extra.

Great location down town. Clean, working self-service laundry for only $2 per wash cycle and dry cycle (so $4 total). Nice shower and glass door.

It was hard to sleep because the bedding was quite hot, and the AC didn’t cycle on often enough to keep the temperature in the room consistent. We kept waking up hot throughout the night. It was also frustrating that the thermostat didn’t allow us to run the fan constantly when in AC mode. As a result, the when the AC would finally cycle on, the fan would kick on too. In a quiet room, this abrupt noise also kept waking us up.

The location and size of the room was great. The staff were delightful and very helpful. I really appreciate how hard they wished to make our stay nice. Loved the balcony.

The hotel was under construction which was a little confusing, but didn't interfere with us at all. I actually felt really bad for the staff because I think the other patrons were complaining a lot and the staff handled it beautifully. I would say that the pillows in the room flattened out a lot, but otherwise, I'd definitely go back again.

My husband and I loved the location. The bed and pillows were super comfortable.

The only thing we didn’t like was that the breakfast there you have to pay for. It’s a small menu and the food is already pre cooked…. so we don’t understand why they don’t just have a buffet style set up like most hotels . Not worth 40 dollars unfortunately.

Waited for the man at the breakfast bar to take our order, but some young woman came and he ignored us for her, took her order and then asked us if we were ready.. we had been ready and was waiting on him. We told him he lost business/money and we went somewhere else for bfst. (Jackson’s, it was great!). Due to him we will not return. In fact, you should fire his sorry ass.. or send him to a customer service seminar

The location is superb. The hotel was clean and the staff pleasant.

The cost - at $400 a night - the price is too high. All the hotel rooms in Bend during the weekend we were there were very expensive as two lacrosse tournaments were taking place there. We felt taken advantage of. I also thought it was in poor taste to charge us $10 a night for parking given how much money we were already paying for the room.

Brilliant location within such a short stroll of all the Old Town. Friendly and informative manager. Spacious room. Spotlessly clean.

The coffee machine was an intelligence test which my partner failed!🤣. So I got to eat the delicious warm chocolate cookies they keep hidden in the drawer in reception.😋

This Hotel is located in a quiet residential area on the edge of downtown Bend. It’s a perfect location for walking to restaurants and shops. It was relatively easy to find. The beds were very comfortable, plush duvets and pillows. The breakfast was sufficient. I would give this facility two stars for cleanliness. When we entered the elevator on the first day, the chrome surround around the door was very dirty with finger smudges, spilled drinks running down the wall, etc. We mentioned it to the cleaning staff and the next day the top half of the wall had been cleaned. By the third day the whole wall has been cleaned. The decor desperately needs to be updated. The rooms are unremarkable in shades of tan to brown. It would be depressing to spend very much time in the room. We paid $290 a night which was more than adequate for the quality of this room. Excess funds need to be used to update and model this facility. I expected more for the price.

The building is old and needs updating. The rooms are most unremarkable, decorated in shades of tan to brown. So boring, one would not want to spend much time there. Fortunately Bend has many fun things to do that keep you out of your room!

Very comfortable, conveniently located, just steps from downtown Bend. Wonderful staff, all of them.

It was a great stay….no complaints.
