Excellent location, right across the street from U of O. Friendly staff, clean, comfortable beds, plenty of parking, good breakfast and good coffee. We really liked the way our bathroom was laid out in the Hilyard building. There was a bathroom with a shower, toilet, and sink with vanity, and another vanity with the sink right outside of the main bathroom, which was very convenient for us. They also have a Keurig coffee maker in the room, which made good coffee. Our room had a small balcony with a nice view of the river behind the hotel. Highly recommend this hotel, especially if you are visiting the university.

Location was excellent for proximity to Hayward Field. The room was squeaky clean and there was a full set of toiletries including vanity kit, which I wasn't expecting. The bed was very comfortable and I slept really well with the fan on. They also extended check-out by an hour on marathon day which was great! I stayed in the Franklin building and had a tiny balcony. I didn't use it but being able to open the door was great for some fresh air.

The bed shook when someone in the room next door walked around. I stayed in a 3rd floor room in the building with no elevator which was fine for me and the staff were transparent about it, but it could cause issues for others.

The inn is wasy to locate from the freeway. There was ample parking. It is a refurbished hotel, and well done. Visually lovely. The room was large, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom had a huge (nice) shower, towels were thick, two armchairs with an end table, and a desk area with desk chair that was the preferred height for computer work. The breakfast had cheese omelettes, which were a nice surprise, plus other choices. The dining area is spacious, light filled and pleasant to dine. There is a bar, which I didn't visit. I only stayed one night, but I could have stayed longer as it was comfortable, convenient, safe and nicely decorated.

Although the windows are double glazed, the sound from the street below is obtrusive. At one point the room on the third floor shook. A small earthquake? Or a heavy truck trundling past? It was noisy. If you have a choice, find a room further away from the main road.

Very nice set up, the lobby is gorgeous.It is all beautiful and redone.There is a nice little bar/ restaurant inside which got so packed and they only had one server.It took forever and ever with long lines to get one drink as we were there during an event... We were starving from traveling and getting the server to take our order for food with a whole other thing.The front desk was exceptionally friendly. The rooms have been redone.You can tell that they are a bit older.But look very nice and comfortable with amenities that work as needed. There are multiple restaurants right within walking distance and the venue for our event right across the street. Would stay again... But be aware if you are looking for something to eat and there is an event happening.Everything is so packed full with super long lines.You will be hard pressed to find anything in a reasonable time.

We choose the Hayward any time we come town to visit our Duck. It's close enough to walk to Autzen, Matthew Knight Arena or the dorms. It's pet friendly, always clean, the breakfast is reliable, and the staff are great.

The indoor pool was a bit chilly. We experienced this last January as well. If you're choosing a hotel based on indoor pool, you might want to pick a different one. Both visits my 4 and 6 year old ended up playing in the pool shower because the water was too cold. (And when we got to the pool this visit there were two teenagers huddled in the shower as well; so I don't think it's just us!)

This hotel is a stone's throw away from the University of Oregon campus......great for visiting your student enrolled there. The hotel itself is new, clean, fresh and modern. The room was spacious for the two of us with all the amenities we could ever want - safe, refrigerator, microwave, table and chairs, great shower, hairdryer, and fairly comfortable bed. Standing out was the buffet breakfast - lots of options and good quality for a hotel buffet. Oh, and the price was excellent when comparing this hotel to similar others!

Could have used an extra blanket on the bed.

Very nice room - no elevator, so did have to use stairs to third floor to get to our room (not a problem for us, but just to make folks aware). Excellent breakfast (one of the better breakfasts at a hotel that I've had; tasted great and well staffed during breakfast - nice dining area and good coffee) - nice room, decent view - "water" view is a little overexaggerated - it's a very small creek on that side of the hotel - overall for the price and the comfort and the breakfast and pleasant staff, I'd definitely stay again.

Can't think of anything that I didn't really like

Liked everything: clean, quiet, very nice and helpful check-in staff, good breakfast. Liked the location, the decor, temperature good and water pressure in shower was great. Lighting also good in our room.

Breakfast: the staff stopped replenishing food and coffee at 9:15 AM. If you're quoting 9:30 as the end time, please replenish the food RIGHT UP TO TO 9:30! Lots of people are only walking in at 9:20. Coffee and eggs ran out completely at 9:20 and the staff was very curt and refused to replenish it. Maybe you should quote 9:15 as your end time instead? No other coffee was available, not even in the lobby (to most people, pods don't constitute as "coffee"). By comparison, the Best Western next door replenishes the food right up until the final minute of their quoted "end time," as it should be. Also, could you consider extending breakfast to 10 am on the weekends, as the Eugene Best Western, Tru by Hilton and many other area hotels do?

Love the they have finally started to refresh all the old spaces along Franklin and the Hayward is a great example. Really nicely done and the group I was with was very pleasantly surprised at how nice the entire hotel was (lobby, experience, rooms, bar). Having a nice, updated, clean space to come for a game weekend is crucial for our group as we get older and Hayward didn't disappoint. Having a bar and restaurant on premise was also a nice plus.

The prices were very high for what you get. I get that it's a game weekend but it still stings. The check in experience was clunky for guests that didn't do the experience online before hand - and the tablets at the front desk felt impersonal. I'm sure overall it adds to accuracy but when the 4pm Friday check in rush happened there were long, slow moving lines.

Great location, room was well appointed. Everything worked as expected. Furniture was in good shape. Nice breakfast in the morning plenty of options, clean and well stocked. With cereals, eggs, bacon, yogurt, fruits and juices, Just a few of the items.

Cleanliness was lacking in the room. Floor was very dusty, in need of sweeping or vacuuming. Dust bunnies everywhere. Dried on food on the counter, three medium sized drops of some kind of food. The recycle bin in the room had not been emptied, full of trash. The toilet had the previous tenants hair on it.
