Everything was great! :-) We loved the place. It is a very pretty, funky, friendly hotel. Fab location -surrounding area is lovely, easy to walk around, plenty of nice shops, cafes and restaurants. Lovely atmosphere, day and night. Good, free parking and the tram stops in front of the hotel (travel is free with the hotel room card). The studios were funky, bright, modern, well equipped with lots of small additional nice-touches (like a yoga mat in each room, free glass of wine and/or beer in nearby establishments). Nice balcony, lovely open (outside) communal spaces. Free coffee/tea/hot chocolate any time of the day or night. Good breakfast was included in the room price. Staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely come back again.

The decor was cute and kitschy. The bed was incredibly comfortable as was the loveseat in the living space. Usually hotel furniture is not the greatest to relax in but this was perfect for watching tv in the evenings. Breakfast had more fruit options than the standard banana/apple/orange- kiwi and whole pears were a nice surprise! Candy available in the common area and coffee station was a nice touch. Parking was super easy.

In our kitchenette the glasses and some of the plates/bowls and paper towels were so high up in the cupboard we could not reach and neither of us are particularly short (5’ 6” and 6’ 0”). You should have a short step stool if you are having things up that high . Also a paper towel holder in the countertop would be nice as we had to hunt for them.

It was a really nice continental breakfast with a wonderful selection of bagels and a number of other choices.

The only negative occurred when we checked in for a 2 night stay. The staff were weird about splitting and charging the bill to our 3 cards. She thought she might be able to for 1 night, but not both. Told us to ask when we checked out. We did ask when we checked out and the staff member that morning was abrupt with us and said no, the charge was already processing that morning. This was at 7:30 am. She also said we should have asked earlier… um we did? Maybe she meant when we booked the reservation. We were a bit annoyed but didn’t press it. (We have stayed at other hotels and it was not an issue at check out) Anyways, other than that weirdness, loved the hotel!

Great location! Easily accessible by transit, and with good links to the transit system to get anywhere, and very well located in the Nob Hill neighbourhood, close to many restaurants and coffee shops. Good wifi, parking available, practical continental breakfast, coffee and tea station - all great. Particularly loved the daily streetcar passes as well! The room was very comfortable, with full kitchen and AC. Front desk was also very accommodating giving us a room towards the back so we could avoid street sounds. Would definitely return :)

Will ask for a room in the upper floor next time, as the building is a bit thin so we could feel footsteps from the rooms above. Not a big concern if you're not a light sleeper.

Loved the decor and feel of the place. The room was exceptionally spacious, comfortable. The staff were helpful always and parking was free and available. The building was secure, warm (it was very cold out) and it was easy to get to the room quickly with elevator or stairs. The kitchens in the rooms were well-equipped and very clean. There was free delicious coffee available 24 hours in the lobby (grind and brew machines), and the dining area was nice and the food was good, with plenty of basic choices like hard-boiled eggs, fresh fruit, milk, cereal, bagels and cream cheese, fruit juice and more.

There was a little bit of noise from the local light rail, but that was minimal. It was just a low rumbling occasionally for about 15 seconds at a time. There was no decaf coffee in the room.

Breakfast was a good selection. Parking was free with a good sized car park. Loved the decor and the spreadsheet of local recommendations for nearby restaurants. The kitchen was really well equipped.

House keeping was inconsistent - we appreciate that it is every other day, however one morning they were knocking on our door at 9am and the other we came home at 3pm to find it had not been done, so then had to vacate the room for it to be done. On one clean, they did not top up any of the room amenities (such as teabags or shampoo), then next time we had 5 toilet rolls and 3 soaps left in the room (keeping in mind we had not said anything to reception about shortages of amenities).

Facility was full of color and interesting graphics. Rooms were beautifully and thoughtfully decorated: headboards to beds, color contrasts, even to the coffee table with interesting and unusual artwork on top. Curtains were carefully cut out to fit over the AC unit while still keeping the room dark at night. Suite included kitchen with modern appliances that worked, as well as dishes. If I were staying away from home for an extended period, I'd be happy in this suite. Staff were welcoming and helpful. BJ (I think I got their name right) was especially helpful with figuring out a problem.

Bath tub either needs grab bar or sticky mat for safety. Would have liked a hot breakfast.

Room size, iron and ironing board- a joy!, lovely fresh linen, quick response from the desk staff at any problems, roof terrace super, easy going atmosphere, overall arty feel. Would definitely stay again.

We were happy with the room service every other day. However the carpets and kitchen area floors weren't cleaned each time which caused an issue as we were cooking and eating in the room and had no access to cleaning implements, which I would have been happy to use to clear up crumbs etc. Maybe have dustpan & brush in rooms?

The bed was comfortable and I liked having a full stove/oven and kurig in the room. I love the bright colors and the large mirrors in the bathroom (and the one on the outside of the bathroom door) made it super easy for 3 people to get into cosplay for Kumoricon (The reason for our stay in the area). Having a full sized fridge/freezer also made it a lot easier to cook for dinner rather than having to go out every night.

The bottom of the bathroom tub was a little dirty, but didn't seem like more than wear and tear.

Great location in a very safe neighbourhood. Room was very generous in size. Lots of great restaurants in the surrounding streets and the street car stop makes it so easy to get around the city. Love the old school hotel touches - a folder with information on the neighborhood and Portland in general - seems to be a thing of the past now days but I appreciated it. Also liked the 24/7 coffee and tea bar and free breakfast.

The walls are paper thin. If you’re a light sleeper ear plugs are a must, as I could hear the foot steps of the people in the room above me.
