The location of the hotel. Ideally located for walking to a number of restaurants, stores and trails in Forest Park. The staff was friendly and for the most part accommodating. The manager, Barbara, was excellent in resolving issues I encountered with the WIFI and prices of items in the lobby area. She had excellent communication and people skills. She seemed genuine in her desire to improve your stay. You do not see that type of commitment in most hotels. The onsite restaurant was good although a bit pricey so the promotional 20% off coupon was appreciated at check-in. The staff that cleaned the rooms were very nice and did an excellent job.

There was no working elevator but we were notified in advance about the issue. The street noise level was higher than I prefer (Vaughn street is major street in NW Portland). Lights were too dim in the room, no central overhead light option and the heater/AC seemed always on even when I used the thermostat on the wall to turn it off. Had WIFI connection issues if you had a I- Mac or I- Pad- no IT person on staff but the hotel did provide a staffer to assist.

Very clean and very comfortable. Even the hideaway bed wasn't too bad. There was an extra bathroom in the hall just in case two people in your party needed to go at the same time. The double sinks outside the bathroom are wonderful. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The area felt safe. We walked all over the neighborhood and there were plenty of restaurants, bars and treats within a mile or so. This area is much cleaner and safer than downtown in my opinion.

The parking spots are small and a lot of customers are very inconsiderate when parking so I would suggest getting back early enough to get a decent parking spot. The bathroom inside the room was very very small and should have a pocket door instead of a door that swings in. You have to shimmy inside and around the door. It's claustrophobic.

We loved the Silver Cloud!! The location is so great as you're very close to some of Portland's best restaurants and a great walkable area. There's also easy access to the highway so anywhere we needed to go was ~10 minutes away or less. The staff was SO friendly and gave us great recommendations. I would say the rooms are definitely a bit less modern than what is typical for hotels nowadays, but it was quite comfortable with a nice big window we could open to let the fresh air in. Also... free parking. What a blessing.

The elevator was out of order when we visited, but reception did offer us help in getting our luggage upstairs, which was much appreciated!

Excellent & safe location. Free covered parking & easy access from freeway. The restaurant was fantastic. The food was delicious & the blend of flavors was like eating at a 5 star restaurant. Amazing for being connected to a hotel. I highly recommend eating there! Quick easy ride to the Portland airport & central activities in Portland. Athena greeted us at the front desk. Easy check in & she was extremely helpful. Charlie was the bar tender & made the best cappuccino I’ve had in Portland! Mixed our drinks pretty & remembered what we liked after the first order. Tobias from the front desk was so polite, professional, & helpful with our room selection & when asked to change dates & extending our stay.

The hotel restaurant was great, we got the schnitzel and were very pleases. We took all of our food to our room were provided real cutlery and napkins. The sides we had were also very good and the staff were really nice. We got back in quite late and they were about to close the kitchen but waited until they completed our order.

Everything was great, would not have changed anything. The location was within walking distance to many things, the area was safe enough for us to walk around to many places. The parking was a huge bonus, plentiful spots in the garage and free to boot! Hotel staff were very professional and nice and the the hotel and rooms were very clean and comfortable. This was a great find and we will return on our next visit to Portland!

The hotel's location is excellent and within a short walking distance to the heart of the Northwest District (NW 23rd). Arriving by car, the hotel is easy to reach from the freeway, the free parking was a HUGE bonus in a city where most if not all hotels charge crazy parking fees and/or resort fees. The King room was spaciously large, quiet, had a comfortable bed, and was fully equipped with Keurig coffee maker, small fridge, and microwave. Our room had a broad view of what appeared to be the industrial area of the city which was kinda cool and felt very "Portland". The shower had good water pressure and the vanity area had a large bench and was located outside of the bathroom. The front desk staff were very friendly and professional. WiFi was good and easy to connect to. The TV had a decent amount of channels to scroll through.

The hotel alerted us before our stay that the elevators were not working, so we were prepared for this when we arrived. Because of this inconvenience, the hotel did offer a 20% discount to their on-site restaurant. Our room, though it was on the 4th floor, the three flights of stairs were easy to navigate. The location was great for the free parking, access from the freeway, and for visiting the NW district, Nob Hill, and Slabtown, however it presents quite a long walk if your main interest is to visit the downtown areas east of I-405 such as the Pearl and Portland Downtown (we ended up driving to visit those areas).

This small hotel is very cosy and homey. I had to stay due to a burst pipe at my house and felt like I was at a home away from home. The staff are absolutely amazing! Thank you to Barbara and her team of Kyle’s, Athena, Braydon, and Latisha. They helped me so much with my insurance booking and generally being so kind and friendly always. A stressful time was eased because of them. I felt the hotel was fantastic value for money in a great location in Portland. Will highly recommend it if family or friends need a place to stay.

Nothing- it was perfect!

Very spacious room, clean, has a microwave, mini fridge and a coffee maker which was all good to have! The shower worked well, the bed was comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and attentive, I asked for an extra blanket and a yoga mat and it was immediately brought to me. Location is convenient but you have a walk a couple blocks to get to the nicer area. Overall, it was a great stay!

I didn’t dislike anything, it would be nice to have some water in the room I suppose, and a gym, but overall , very happy!

The staff was amazing. They always said hello and asked how our stay was going, and if we needed anything. They upgraded me for my birthday. We left an expensive hotel for here and I’m so glad we did. The restaurant was the best food we had in our week stay in Portland. They gave me free dessert for my birthday as well.

Nothing with the specific hotel was an issue. The blocks surrounding it felt questionable but that could be because we’re unfamiliar with the area. The construction made entering the parking lot, easy to miss but nothing that would deter us from returning.

We loved our stay at the Silver Cloud. The room was very spacious and nicely appointed. The location was excellent; in a fun and interesting, safe, walkable neighborhood, an easy Uber ride into downtown. Close to 23rd street with lots of interesting shops and restaurants. Parking was free and secure, park it yourself which I really like. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend the Silver Cloud in Portland.

Can't think of anything lacking. Everything was perfect
