Check-in at midnight was extremely nice, I was welcomed and taken care of beyond my expectations. I was exhausted from moving my home and ended up exactly where I wanted to be, in a nice room with a shower like a pressure washer.

There's only parking in the public garage across the street at the Douglas which is unattended and not secure. The HOA's and corporations that ask their visitors to use the garage need to invest in parking garage security guards. That would give the hotels in the area that lack parking safer access for their guests. Hyatt House does have a secure garage with super nice valet parking for a fee.

The Hyatt house is a good stay if you are interested in staying the downtown area. It’s located very close to the water and other hotels. Good restaurant options as well. We took a studio suite and it was pretty spacious. The kitchen was well equipped although we didn’t use it much. But in general there was enough space for my husband , my baby and myself. The amenities are decent. Pool is a bit small. breakfast is complimentary which had pretty good options. The staff was nice.

My only issue with the room was that the bed was queen. I would have preferred a king size bed. My other complaint is that the valet suggested to park in the Douglas parking lot which is $25 per night. But right opposite that, there’s another parking lot that costs $18 per night. Go for the cheaper one, it’s right opposite

Clean uncluttered but with everything necessary- quiet rooms,large bathroom,comfortable beds, spacious living room and well appointed kitchen. Great work space, neutral inoffensive decor. A good value for location with a small clean indoor pool, nice workout facility and easy access to the river park and trails a block away. Decent local wines and ice creams at the front desk shop.

Excessive carpeting was being cleaned and smelled of detergent.

The free breakfast was a typical free hotel breakfast, but with enough variety to satisfy most. Location next to the train made it easy to get to downtown in a timely manner. Suites were affordable, clean, spacious and comfortable. We felt safe walking outside after dark. Minimal city noises at night. Hotel staff were kind and eager enough, but would benefit from customer service training.

Valet parking was too costly for the area and pick up was chaotic leading to 45 minute delays…despite carefully following hotel instructions. There are self parking garages nearby, which are more affordable and easy to access/leave. We needed a car to help our college student move in—otherwise a car is unnecessary for a visit to downtown Portland. Some hallway rugs were somewhat worn with stains and an odor. I recommend replacing coffee pods in rooms with higher quality like Starbucks or Peets.

I really liked how close I was to Portland State University as I had a conference there. There's a streetcar stop right in front of the hotel and I was able to get to PSU along with the Hawthorne neighborhood in under 15 minutes. There's also a great breakfast as well and the gym is well stocked with machines and weights. As for the room it was pretty cozy and I liked how there was both a fridge and a microwave in the room. Lastly the staff is very professional and was very prompt in answering my questions and concerns. Overall a great stay.

Its location was perfect. The staff was helpful with all requests. The pool area was great. Valet parking worked, the texts to request a car were confusing at first until I went to first one, otherwise always asked for a tip. Elevator was a bit slow. All in all it was great.

I liked everything. I needed an outlet for all of my devices and when I moved the nightstand out about 3 inches……. Yuck. I saw all of the nasty from everyone else that had ever stayed in that room.

Room was clean and well organized with space to put our suitcases and unload them without being in the way. Room was very comfortable, although bed could have been a little firmer. Bathroom floor & shower were clean! (THANKS!) Breakfast options were excellent, though finding a clean table was difficult (many tables, none of them clean). The location was loveley, near the riverfront path and close to our event destination.

Very nice hotel, clean and friendly staff. Great location, easy walk to waterfront walking trail by river. Lime scooters on walking trail are fun to cruise on. lounge/restaurant was nice, but the seating was not so comfortable. All the seats were hard seats and no comfortable padded seating. Restaurant/snack bar had fast food - typical fried foods and some salads options. Other restaurants within walking. There is some parking on the side of the hotel. Paid parking until 7 pm, then free the rest of the night until early morning 8 or 9 AM . Valet parking is around $50 -ouch. There is a parking garage about 2 blocks away if you don't mind the walk. It was $13 for the night - I think this was a special rate for Sunday evening. Lastly, I felt safe walking around. I would recommend this hotel.

Hard chairs in lounge

The breakfast was excellent with lots of variety and options for various food needs. Staff were helpful. Our room, which was a double suite, was clean and quiet. The central air was comfortable and quiet. We had lots of space and a kitchen, which seemed well appointed. We hardly used it since breakfast was so good and we chose to eat at nearby restaurants for dinner. Had we wanted to cook, groceries were not nearby, so planning for that in advance would be recommended.

We chose to park in a lot down the block, which cost half of the valet cost.

I appreciate the fact that there is so much grass around the hotel for the dogs to use the bathroom.

Parking is a nightmare! There is no parking on the street and the garage is valet only. It took us 20 minutes to check-in to the hotel, just because we couldn't get close enough to unload the car. We ended up paying the $50 for valet just for convenience sake.
