The location of the hotel is excellent for events at the Portland arts theaters. Only a block and a half away from the venues. The bed was comfortable and I slept well. Some street noise but our room was on the 12th floor which helped a lot.

Be aware that the additional "amenities fees" and Portland city lodging taxes and art fund taxes will add to the price quoted on the Booking site. It was a bit of a surprise that my $138 room went up to $170 upon checkout. We enjoyed a cocktail in the bar and ate at the hotel restaurant which resulted in a $10 credit. Can't escape the taxes if you want to stay downtown. Valet parking is $59 per night.

Easy check-in; comfortable, spacious room with nice balcony; nice food & drink options on-site. Wonderful location for exploring downtown.

Elevators didn't seem to run smoothly/quickly, especially if trying to go from lobby to restrooms on LL. Stairs were quicker, if somewhat convoluted. Valet parking charge was unclear, as we were told during check-in our mid-size Toyota Tacoma pickup was "likely" oversized, though the valet said the manager would decide, and the manager said the valet would. Ended up getting charged the normal rate, and when I responded to the hotel's feedback request, I received a quick response, which I find encouraging and a definite "plus" for the property.

The front desk staff were very helpful with information about the city and surrounding area.

I did like the fact that the hotel slapped on an "amenity fee" of $29 per night. This is an underhanded way to charge more than the room rate. This hotel (and others) should abandon this dishonest policy.

Clean, quiet, and secure. Well maintained. Staff welcoming, courteous, and helpful. Good In-room coffee. Great downtown location with plenty of restaurants, food trucks, shops and such within walking distance. I walked from Union train station in about 20 minutes.

No complaints.

It’s right in the heart of downtown and walking distance to plenty of restaurants, the water etc. Even though there’s no parking provided or valet services, there’s a parking garage where you can park overnight for less than $10 and it’s safe!

They don’t offer the bed and breakfast option which would have axed our stay, as we wanted to stay in.

The staff were so lovely! It's been a while now and I've forgotten his name (I'm sorry!), but the gentleman from Prague was such a wonderful, lovely and helpful person. The other gentleman on reception even called me once I got to my room to tell me about an Australian café in Portland that sells pies which was a nice and personal touch. I felt very welcomed when I first arrived and was happy to see them both when I would come and go throughout my stay. The location is great and walkable to everything in Portland. I was travelling alone and the area around the hotel was relatively safe, although I didn't go out when it got dark. It was easy to get to the light rail/train too. The bed was very comfortable and the room had all the main things I needed.

The staff were amazing, but the water temperature was unfortunately very cold for about 80% of my stay. I stayed for 4 nights and ended up changing rooms on the second night as I couldn't get any hot water, and the second room was okay on the first night but then had no hot water again. By that time I was about to check out so didn't ask to change rooms again.

Very friendly and helpful staff, lovely building, spacious rooms, comfortable bed. The restaurant and bar downstairs were top notch and very convenient.

Not directly related to the hotel, but the city sounds were quite loud at times; construction noises and at times yelling was heard.

Room was fine. Clean and good bed. The location made walking to places easy. I walked to meetings, dinners and just to exercise in the morning before meetings.

Parking is too much and the parking lots they refer to, often have restricted hours to get car or to park car. Even if you buy a 3 day pass, they close the lot at 10pm and don't open to after 7am. When going to the airport prior to 7am, I had try to get a refund on the parking for one day and then pay the $60/night valet fee at the hotel. Valet fee is too high. Other issue is housekeeping. For a three night stay, it was only one housekeeping. We had to continue to ask for towels and other items daily from the front desk.

The location of this property is excellent for anything you want to do in and around Portland. All of the tour operators pick up directly across from this hotel. The two connecting bar and restaurants are excellent. The rooms are a good size with lots of amenities like shower body gel, shampoo and conditioner, hair dryer, mini fridge, and tea/ coffee service. There is no room service and housekeeping is every other day of your stay. This did not affect my stay at all, as anything you need can be arranged at the front desk. I would love to stay here again!

It was my birthday and the hotel made me feel very special. It seemed really fancy and comfortable. We had a wonderful time!

We had to pay for overnight parking, which is fine, but I was under the impression there was parking included. Also, and mind you, it's January...the AC filter was musty.
