I am a fairly tall guy. Normally in hotelrooms I need to make some sort of bed extension, however this bed was surprisingly long. Loved it. The lobby and the bar where perfectly cozy, so instead of a lobby/bar where there is no-one (like a lot of hotels), this bar was perfect to get a nice IPA. Staff was superfriendly and I also got some packages delivered, which was no problem for them. The room was perfect value for the money.

One thing that would have been nice is a way to cast movies/series from your device to the TV. Just in case I carry Chromecast with me, but I could not get it to work either.

Hotel is lovely and very charming. Our first night we stayed in a suite, room was LARGE and clean. Staff was AMAZING - Ryan and Eric were outstanding! Hotel offers free wine/happy hour starting at 5pm, had a full bar and bartender that started at 4pm, very cozy foyer and check in area. Close to attractions, food trucks, restaurants and public market.

Its an old hotel so it came with challenges. First night we stayed in a suite, I could hear the water running from other rooms - noise was coming from the bathroom vent above the toilet - similar to white noise, it was constant. Refrigerator was the smallest I've ever seen and didn't run very cold. Second night we moved into a different King suite style room, floors creaked, and the walls were thin so we could hear the gentleman next door snoring. Its located close to restaurants but the this part of the city was SLEEPY. Food trucks were empty and there wasn't anyone walking around - it was very odd.

The staff was exceptional. The atmosphere was wonderful as well. There was live music, happy hour and the first drink was even comped. This is the type of place that you want to bring your friends to just to have a drink and chill. Or play Oregon Trail on one of the computers set up in the halls. Its very Portland. The valet parking is quick and friendly.The room was cool and quirky. It had a huge skylight on one side with automated shades you can control. The suite I had was beautiful. There was even a HUGE soaking tub in the bathroom. That was a very nice touch. This place feels like the spot. Ifkyk.

Only two gripes. One of them however, is big for me. I did not care for the bed. I got the king suite and the bed was not very comfortable. And it squeaked every time I moved. The only other gripe I have is small. I wish there was a fan in the bathroom. Soaking in that giant tub would have been more enjoyable with a fan to clear some of the steam.

The location is ideal for a visit to Portland. One thing I liked is that it is a repurposed property. Much more interesting than the generic modern boxes. The choice for the art work were pretty good showing someone with taste was making the decisions. This is the first Kimpton property I have had the pleasure of staying at and I had heard good things about them and I was not disappointed. The staff was great.

Being a repurposed property the rooms were on the smaller size. But that’s pretty usual.

Both the hotel and our room were truly spectacular. Everything was top notch and we loved the modern and tasteful decor and layout of the main and second floor public spaces. We attended the free happy hour on both days from 5 to 6 PM and the wines were delicious. The complementary coffee in the morning was also delicious. Everything was clean and everyone was super nice and helpful and the bonus for us was that the hotel allows pets so we got to play with several four-legged guests!

The one and only dislike we had is that the handle of the bathroom sink is complicated to figure out and it’s difficult to adjust it to the preferred water temperature.

The game room was a nice surprise. They provide two gaming consoles, a mini curling board, small pool table and some other games choices.

The bathroom layout was awkward but, it's a renovated historic property. A mirror above the separate console would've been nice since that's where we had our toiletries and cosmetics.

The variety of lights and comfortable seats and couches around the room and hotel was actually very nice. I never thought that I'd enjoy lamps and sofas like I did here. Hotel staff and crew are all very friendly and try their best to be as helpful as possible. The bar is also a friendly and relaxing spot - I'd visit again just to chill by the bar.

Not much to comment on. Things I might have disliked lay beyond the hotel.

Our King Suite was huge! Beautiful furnishings and decorations too and very comfortable bed and sofa bed. Coffee maker in the room was great! Very nice bar in the lobby, and free coffee there in the mornings.

The location was on a busy street, with some homeless people nearby at nights.

The staff in particular, Noah, Andy and Celeste were friendly and helpful. They promptly assisted in my queries. The game room added some fun to the stay and not to forget the wonderful social time with free wine! Breakfast was also very yummy 😋

Everything is nice! If I really need to mention 1 thing, it might be the picture on the wall in the bathroom. It looked abit ‘scary’ when reflected in the mirror 😆

Super friendly staff, nice hotel interior design, the wine tasting, the coffee station, the gym, the location

The floor was squeeky, by just walking around, bad soundproofed, we could understand every word of our neighbours
