The room was clean and comfortable. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. I flew into PDX and took the Red MAX rail into the city. Than walked a few blocks to the hotel. I did notice quite a few homeless people in the neighborhood near the hotel. It wasn't a problem for me, but awareness is good too. I would recommend the 1st & Oak train stop instead of Skidmore. The hotel does not offer breakfast, but they do have a restaurant connected to the hotel, as well as others near by. I took a couple of tour groups and Courtyard was a hotel for pick up. Overall my room was comfortable and the location was good for walking the city. Being a solo traveler I still felt safe walking the area during my 4 night stay. I was also happy to have a small safe and mini fridge in the room. They have a microwave in the lobby.

I was allocated a quiet room as requested, and allowed to check in early after flying from Australia via Vancouver, Canada. A beer garden with many food vans is conveniently located close by, including the famous Tokyo Sando (Sandwich) van. The Saturday Market and Voodoo Doughnut shop are within a short walk of the hotel. The bed was comfortable and the room was well appointed.

I wasn't told at check in that a deposit of $50 a night would be held until my departure so I had to ask Reception about it when I noticed it. Sadly there are a lot of homeless people in the area, but they never bothered me.

The location in northern downtown Portland is very good. It is very near Powell's Bookstore, Old Town, Pearl District, etc. Right next door is also a Food Truck Court, nice place to have some food or a beer. The room was clean and big and the cleaning staff were very friendly and efficient! It is a chain, so nothing "out of the ordinary," but the hotel seems to be very well managed/run and the price was very good in comparison to other places in Portland.

The front desk staff were not as friendly as the cleaning staff, but we were maybe just surprised since almost everyone we encountered during our stay in Portland were sooo nice. The cost of parking thru the hotel is quite high - we parked on the street or in one of the city garages that is not so far away from the hotel.

Conviently location in downtown Portland. Close to my car rental and downtown parking spot. Many local restaurants and attractions within walking distance. Very nice gym to get a workout in if that’s your thing.

Although there is a restaurant in the hotel, For the price of the stay it would have been nice to have free breakfast served to the patrons staying at the hotel.

Very close to a diverse and lively food pod, decent walking distance to other attractions but not too bad. Room temperature was consistently comfortable and not stuffy or too dry. Linens looked and felt very clean and were not too thick or scratchy. Valet service was prompt and always courteous, worth it for the price of convenience. Staff stand out as bright and energetic, every one we met seemed pretty happy to be there and to help.

Not very well insulated for noise; It was very easy to hear all sounds and conversations nearby as they happened, though it was generally pretty quiet. Trash cans were only located in the bathroom and were not very obvious (I was unsure if there were 2 or if one was recycle only?), would have been nice to have one in the main room near the desk or sitting area. Cups for water were provided, but no information regarding the quality or source of the water from the tap was present. Tissues and toilet paper felt quite cheap and very thin.

The beds were very comfortable since they weren't too soft. My sister and I really liked the chair and ottoman and wished the room had two so we could each sit in one! We also really appreciated that the air conditioning was working properly since it was hot the week that we were in Portland. The front desk staff were very helpful with bringing up more blankets and also giving us maps and suggestions for what to see around Portland.

The only issue we had was with the toilet since it had very low water pressure and didn't always flush well. Also, we had anticipated eating breakfast at the hotel but the restaurant was closed for a few mornings.

Good location. I was able to walk to most attractions and to the train station (very handy for my day trip to Salem). Very comfortable bed. Didn't hear any street noise - an important point for me, since I am a very light sleeper. All staff members were polite and accomodating. My last day I had an evening flight and they held my luggage after check- out at no extra charge.

I was happy with this hotel and I don't have any really negative comments. Perhaps one thing they could improve is the lighting in the room, which was a bit dim. One suggestion: the coffee in the lobby is in a niche and not easy to see. I discovered it on my last day while waiting for a cab. Why not point that out to the customers when they check in?

Location was great. Hotel was clean. Staff was friendly. Wasn’t bothered. Dope experience.

The gym was underwhelming. There’s barely weights for dudes to lift. We don’t do cardio. Breakfast ends too early at the hotel. People are on vacation and don’t necessarily wake up early if they don’t have anything planned for the morning. No coffee drinker likes keurig. You’re better off not advertising that you have coffee.

Room with a view looking over many of Portland’s historic buildings. Especially the Wells Fargo building with its many tiles, cornices, brass work, colors. Also lots of sun on the 16 th floor. We asked for a room with a view and got it! Location. We walked to most of the city’s highlights and even over the Morrison Bridge to Cartopia for a casual supper. Staff v helpful and willing to help. Friendly staff from restaurant front desk and valet.

Courtyard Portland city center exceed my expectations. The cost was excellent for a great quality clean and very comfortable room. Between easy check in, close restaurants, comfortable surroundings, and a good nights sleep I would happily stay here again.

I can't think of a thing except more affordable parking options. Parking in the secured parking would have been nice, but it was too expensive when compared to smart park down the street
