the staff were incredible, the amenities at the location were amazing and the room was perfect.

sheets were a little dirty and there were some spots you could tell were not cleaned. it wasn’t filthy, but it was slightly noticable

Location was good—close to downtown amenities, staff was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Property was spotless and casual. Nice amenities in the public area. Bed was very comfortable. Designed to cater to the 20 something to 30 something traveler who has no more luggage than a backpack or small overnighter. Valet service was excellent.

I’d been traveling for a few weeks and had luggage. Room was very tiny (maybe 10 x 10) and sparsely furnished. It did not have any place to set up luggage except on the bed or on the floor by the door. There were only pegs to hang up a very few pieces of clothing, and a small desk that dropped down from the wall, with a chair. Bathroom was spotless, but had very limited counter space. No onsite parking and didn’t feel comfortable about parking on the street or the adjacent lot. So, the reasonable rate suddenly increased by $62 per night.

The staff at the Moxy are top-notch; helpful, kind, friendly, and patient (Duncan in particular was fantastic). I have absolutely nothing but positive things to say about each employee I encountered, from housekeeping to night desk. They all deserve raises. This place is impeccably located and manages to be quirky and idiosyncratic without being pretentious or overbearing. It's clean, warm, and safe.

All of my dislikes are relatively superficial, but the spartan nature of the accommodations was still pretty shocking for the price I paid. I would have appreciated at least a small refrigerator. That said, I knew what I was getting into when I booked the room, so this is more a critique of the business model than the hotel itself.

Friendly staff, convenient location if you don’t have a rental car or vehicle (noticed the parking prices were expensive). Walkable distance to many downtown eateries and shops. Clean and sufficient room for a short stay! Also had a great Thai place (Moo Deng Thai Cuisine) within the hotel.

Walls are thin, luckily I didn’t have any noisy neighbors but I did occasionally hear clear conversations. Also heard someone’s alarm clock and someone pulling up their blinds but only happened once. The lighting inside the room is quite ambient, wish it was a little brighter. Also wish they provided a comforter. The bedding wasn’t very sufficient for me (thin blanket and flat sheet).

The friendliest staff that made an early check in process a breeze. This was my first stop when I arrived to Portland and it set the tone for a very positive visit. The convenience of the restaurants downstairs was a special bonus especially the poke place. A white noise machine allowed to block out any unwanted city noise which I thought was so clever and a great touch. This is a more modern and minimalist hotel so the room size was just perfect for two people.

Just a block or two away and there are a lot of homeless folks wondering and loitering about the streets at night. This has nothing to do with the hotel itself, after all it is in downtown but just a fair warning to any fellow travelers.

i like the moxy hotels. they are young and modern, the staff is always super friendly, especially in portland. you arrive and feel good. the location is great and the room size is sufficient for 2 people without a lot of luggage. it was fun to stay for 2 nights. portland rocks

Great location! Was able to pretty much walk everywhere downtown from this location. Only time we needed to Lyft was to and from the bars on the other side of the bridges and at night. We liked how comfortable the staff makes you feel. Just a FYI, when we did Lyft places, the lyft's are pretty cheap ($10-$20) around the city but we paid at least $40+ back and forth when we landed to get to the hotel and back to the airport.

Did not like how small the rooms are. We paid for a queen room but was upgraded to a king for FREE due to the room being so small. Even though the king wasn't that much bigger than the queen, but we made it work.

Stylish and fun. There's a great little area by the fireplace with tables where you can work on projects. Perfect for writing birthday cards and wrapping gifts, c which was the reason we were in town. Just delightful. Artwork abounds. It's like being in any indie art gallery. A nice perk is that the rooms come with a tear-off pad of poster art so you can take one home with you. A unique idea that represents the vibe of the place.

Room was a bit cramped, but an efficient use of space.

the energy and vibe of the place is relaxed fun and unique while also clean and up to date. the staff is amazing. they are welcoming warm and make you feel like a friend. everyone on staff was great but there are two standouts - literal stars. Emery and Nicolette. these two are complete assets to the company. you can tell customer service comes naturally to them. i wish most people had half of their good energy, kindness, intelligence, friendliness, wit, work ethic , and personality as these two have. as long as the two of them work the front desk the moxy company slogan should be “the moxy, where we make everyone feel like our friend.”

i didn’t like when emery or nicolette were not on shift.
