The staff was Great!! They were able to accommodate my early check-in. This was so appreciated. I was there to attend a dinner/meeting event, and as such (IMO), they had upgraded my room. It's was a wonderful gesture. All the staff we came in contact with were very kind and professional. From the front desk, the staff in the restaurant and the cleaning staff. Each person initiated a welcoming conversation.

I truly have nothing... I guess if I had to dig deep.. As often seen, the iron had a bit of rust in the steam holes. I learned the hard way years ago, and now ALWAYS first use the iron and steam on a towel until I am confident that they are clean.

Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Molly and Jennifer helped us out when we arrived and where really helpful with some questions we had. Jennifer helped us a lot with recommendations on where to go explore and eat. She always has a friendly smile and asked us everyday how we were doing and to enjoy our exploring day. She made me feel very welcoming and made it feel like I was at home with one of my friends. I would like to thank her for such an amazing experience at the Marriot. I also love the location of this hotel everything was 10 min away or walking distance.

I loved that it was clean and well kept. The staff was helpful and friendly. There was a restaurant and also full service coffee shop on site. The location along the river gave a great view from our room. I also appreciated how the staff quickly corrected a situation with our room that was a misrepresentation on booking.coms end.

There was no spa which I’m pretty sure was advertised and I saw pictures of.

We liked the hotel on the river. We walked along the river in the morning. We liked the 3rd Floor Lounge with the Drinks / Snacks and the Breakfast. We liked the Coffee shop in the hotel. The valet person was very nice!!

We did not like there was no gift shop in such a large hotel. There was a large convention going on. Missed opportunity for guests to get personal items and other stuff. All they had was a few drinks off to the left of the front desk area. We had to make our way to Target a few blocks away. This was a bit unnerving walking into the Target with 3 armed police officers. There were a lot of homeless people coming into the Target store. They were also hanging around on the streets. We were in and out very quick. Not sure I would stay here again based on the location. We liked the Portland Embassy Suites location better as it felt safer to walk around and walk to Voodoo Donuts.

The waterfront location was great with easy access in/out by car. The breakfast was excellent, the bed comfortable, and the staff welcoming and responsive to our requests.

The price seemed high for a small-ish king room with a small-ish bathroom. We did not like paying $54 for overnight parking, although we were alerted in advance.

All the staff was pleasant and helpful, ( especially the morning staff at the restaurant). Rooms were clean and beds super comfortable. The The location was perfectly located across from the river walk.

I believe a complimentary breakfast would be a nice touch. We travel the world and 90% of hotels we stay in have breakfast included with our stay.

The room was clean, the staff were lovely, the bar had good drinks and the food was excellent!

I didn't feel super safe in Portland, but the security in the hotel seemed adequate.

It was our 50th anniversary, and the hotel assigned a lovely room with a river view on a high floor. They also were very prompt with a "romance package" of champagne and chocolate as soon as we got to our room. All the staff were courteous, friendly and helpful- like they really enjoyed their jobs!

Valet parking might have mentioned to take everything we would need during our stay, as it was a bit of a hassle for them to go and get it from our car once it had been parked.

The place was clean and comfortable with a great location for the conference we were attending. The room was very small and said it had a balcony. One couldn't call that a balcony.

THE best of service!! Excellent variety of eating menu and customized to your dietary needs. Rooms and amenities were five star. Views and trail to river so welcoming.

Shower needs modernizing.
