I stayed at SureStay by Best Western Portland City Center on May 28th and 29th and had a pleasant experience overall. I booked a single room with a queen bed, which was clean and came with decent amenities. The hotel’s location was one of its best features—very close to downtown Portland and with the added bonus of free parking, which made getting around very convenient.

The price was quite reasonable for what was offered. The breakfast was simple but fair for the cost, and it provided a good start to the day. The only downside was the wireless internet, which wasn’t very reliable during my stay. Despite that, I’d definitely consider staying here again and would recommend it to others looking for a budget-friendly option near downtown Portland.

Location is close to downtown and good food, public transit is great. Staff was friendly and accommodated my early check-in request after a long hike overnight and I needed to get a shower and some rest desperately. The staff warned me that the parking lot typically gets full when all units are booked, so he advised me to keep my car where it is. He was right! A few people had to park on the street.

It's not your typical 3-star hotel experience. The bathroom faucets and mirror appear to be brand new, but the building is visibly old. I'm content!

Location is perfect to explore the city without having to drive a lot. Had a conference downtown and was within walking distance. There is also a bar and a restaurant if you need it, but a lot more is accessible not too far away. The room was clean with the essentials. Breakfast is fine, muffins, bagels, oats, yogurt, and cereals. Coffee wasn’t bad either. Staff was friendly and always available. Wifi was fast.

Nothing. Parking can be sometimes difficult but staff is always there to help make sure guests have a spot.

Breakfast minimal and in small stand-up location at front desk. Portland did not impress as a city, a lot of homeless people and crazies encountered on our 1 day walk around. Don't think it is really necessary to be close to the city as a tourist. Motel was located in a very busy traffic area, though, to its credit, sound proofing was good.

My room was clean and comfortable. The mattress was comfortable. The location of the hotel can look off putting because of the busy intersection that it is on but it is very walkable to everywhere downtown. The staff was very friendly and the parking was free.

The room seemed a little dated but honestly that didn't take away from my stay so it wasn't really an issue.

Clean, good mattress, and well stocked with linens, soap, shampoo and coffee. Close to a good food truck pod, table and chairs to eat in our room. Good choices for a quick breakfast before an early appointment.

Hotel signage is very lacking. We went around twice, still did not see the entrance. Went around several blocks from the other direction and finally saw the little sign and driveway. My husband had surgery in the afternoon at OHSU, and a recheck early the next morning. Location was great, if only it had better signage.

I was pleased with the room, bed was very comfortable!! Great location, very close to Casey Eye Institute which was the reason for our stay. Staff was super nice and helpful.

I can see that the hotel is being upgraded a little at a time. The upgrades were well chosen and were nice. The curd appeal leaves a lot to be desired. I'm sure that it is on their to-do list. It's kinda fun to go and see what they have done.

Large, clean room with good airconditioning. Beds were comfortable and WiFi was excellent. They were Ok with us parking our car on their property before check-in and after check-out, which was very friendly.

It would be great if there was an extra toilet for guests who can not use the one in their room yet. The breakfast room is also the reception area and lacks a bit of character, but breakfast was better than expected so no complaints there. If you are a light sleeper I would suggest bringing ear plugs because the road can be noisy.

The free breakfast was better than expected. Good variety of food and drink choices. Free parking and there was always space available when we needed to park. Receptionist was friendly and helpful. House cleaning was efficient and thorough. Room and bathroom was clean.

Room was a little dark (but was accurate to the photos). Only 1 small round table provided. No desk for work/laptop.

Location is okay to visit City, with tram not too far away. Room satisfactory, quiet enough considering heavy traffic flows out side, parking okay close to room.

Breakfast very basic in lobby, so not much room. Still better than nothing.
