Conveniently located & secure entry. Small boutique hotel with private bathroom, good bath products, heated towel rack, and slippers. Usually quiet. Walking distance from some restaurants, breweries, and bars. View of the art college from our room. We were able to get street parking right in front of the hotel where there are cameras and see our car from our window. A park was next-door with people playing bocce. I think there was some sort of free entertainment (music, comedy) in the lounge on the weekend, but we were out at the time. There was also a free beer which we didn’t take the time to get.

No dedicated parking. No complementary coffee, but there was coffee service for a price. Friday or Saturday there was some very late-night noise from the street and park. Sometimes people sleeping in the park.

Nice room, especially for the price. Great shower, comfy bed and the robes were a nice touch. Staff were friendly and the hotel felt safe. They gave us a free drink at the on-site cafe. And there's a nice bagel place around the corner for breakfast with vegan options.

It was a good choice for us in terms of location as we had an appointment nearby but I think otherwise there may be cooler neighbourhoods to explore in Portland. The choice of drinks in the cafe was a little disappointing. And the nearby parking was expensive.

This is a lovely restored downtown hotel. The facilities are upscale, and the amenities in the room are well thought out and executed. Robes, slippers, towel warmer, a giant shower with plenty of water and a comfortable bed. We're using the train to get to Portland now, so it's location is perfect. We walked with 2 suitcases each the short 3 blocks from Union station, and it's kind of typical urban walking, felt safe the while time. The food truck court is a few blocks away and there are dozens of restaurants for something more civilized. This is my second stay, and both times the staff was first class. Highly recommend.

The entrance needs to me more clear. It's a little confusing as there are actually 3 doors that can be entered, 2 on Glisan and I've arrive the corner. Very minor detail.

A nice hotel w large rooms. No tea or coffee makings in room but a cafe and coffee operated by hotel staff next to reception area. A couple blocks or three from Max Lines. Great comfy bed, pillows and provided toiletries.

The location isn’t the best due to drug folks living on streets, sidewalks and nearby park. PLand is better than previous years but here near Union Station it continues to be very evident. I stay downtown for several years while visiting. They stay to themselves usually and I never felt unsafe. Lots of officers around max stops early and they ride max around.

The staff, the bed, and the historic character of the hotel made this stay stand out. The team at Harlow was consistently welcoming and accommodating. I interacted with the General Manager, Victoria Rose (on the overnight shift, and affiliated with the Dead Portland Society—I’m excited to book a walking tour with her), and a lovely woman whose name I regretfully forgot (maybe Veronica?), who went above and beyond by bringing a refrigerator to my room and warming my meal in the staff microwave. This is a historic hotel, so do not expect in-room amenities like a microwave, refrigerator, or coffee machine. However, my room was beautifully appointed—with two white robes, slippers, and a large walk-in shower (no tub). I stayed on the third floor, where the high ceilings gave the space an airy, elegant feel. The bed was one of the most comfortable I experienced on my entire trip. The hotel is located on a corner across from a long, multiblock park, with grassy spaces and sandy areas for bocce ball. A charming area for a stroll or just to sit and enjoy the neighborhood. I will definitely return—though not when I’m traveling with my soft-top convertible, as parking is all street-based (something to keep in mind for fellow travelers).

As a historic property, some modern conveniences are understandably limited. Despite these minor inconveniences, I would absolutely stay here again - now that I know what to expect.

Overall, my husband and I liked the hotel. The location was good and it was very quiet. The mattress was firm, the water pressure in the shower was also very good. We did buy coffee at the coffee shop but did not buy anything to eat. We did have to request towels at the desk because the cleaning services were short handed. Victoria was very helpful in getting us towels. After the second day, we ran into the lady that was cleaning for the hotel , and we asked her to clean our room and she did.

.Didn’t like that we had to buy the coffee instead of having it in the room and didn’t like that we had to ask for our room to be cleaned after the 2nd day.

I loved the incredible arquitectura of the actual building with its antique and unique high ceilings and state of the art construction that has obviously been renovated so you get this feeling of almost time travel elegance and specialnesses one gets when you can tell it’s been remodeled with such care to detail . The female owned business model I was made aware of also struck me as very progressive and ambitious in such a “Portland “ way that I have nothing but great things to say about taking my son to Portland to the first time to .

I loved everything about it , even the things like the detail of the complimentary non alcohol drink was such a care for detail that was greatly appreciated and the helpful advice on landmarks or the library we were recommended to go to if we were looking for unique books were spot on and very helpful !

The renovation of the hotel is very nice. The building is older, but the rooms, furnishings, etc. are all new and modern. They have an attached cafe that is always available, which is very convenient, particularly for a small hotel. My bed was quite comfortable and the bathroom was large and well appointed. The location on the Pearl neighborhood was very convenient to Portland attractions.

No parking per se, but that isn't surprising for a small city hotel. You can easily use the city's parking app to pay for parking. I was able to park right outside the front door of the hotel.

Charming place from the 1880's, lovingly restored with an artistic flair. Close to public transportation and train station, also a variety of restaurants and food trucks are within a short walk. Public artworks, galleries, parks and street performers too.

This area has lots of "artists" and homeless folks, so if you have trouble dealing with street-people get over it or stay elsewhere. The ones I hung around with in the park nextdoor were very friendly, polite and respectful (minus the occasional nutcase of course). The hotel building itself is safe and very secure.

Everything from our arrival to our departure was special. Each employee we ran into was so sweet and personable. The rooms were beautiful. My kids had the room with 2 twins and they loved it. My room was absoultely beautiful and comfortable.

A community-driven food hub for those experiencing homelessness or food insecurity operates on Sundays directly accross the street from the hotel. I would have liked to have a heads up this happens. I was walking around shopping and when I headed back to hotel I thought a guy was following me. I went into the hotel and mentioned this when I was told about the food hub.
