The time period
Front desk staff on Wednesday July 9th was snotty & should not be in any form of customer service eye rolling and deep heavy sighs definitely did not make me feel comfortable as a guest when asking the most simple request of being let back in the room after the door shut behind me. I asked if she was ok if I had offended her what the issue was. Just can’t comprehend there was no eye contact, smile, I felt like an absolute nuisance like the attitude a panhandler or homeless person receives. I wanted to give a 10/10 review as I see others give bad reviews on basically it’s not a brand new hotel well of course not it’s a historical inn it’s a complete different service and vibe. Hire staff that wants to actually be at work and not treat others like an inconvenience.

Room was very cozy. Older hotel that has been remodeled. Location is excellent, in heart of Historic District. Nice complimentary wine and cheese offered 5-6pm daily. Staff is very accommodating, sincerely go out of the way to make sure it is a pleasant stay. Courtyard is beautiful and has a Hot Tub. Breakfast pretty good but not much hot food offered, nice yogurt bar with fixings. Bed was comfortable, bathroom appeared to be renovated recently.
We were put at the end of the long corridor, last room on 4th floor. I imagine there were rooms closer to the street which was the only exit from the hotel. The AC unit was old and very loud positioned in back window while other rooms we passed had the AC units built into the wall with exhaust being pushed out into the front corridor. We were located at the end of the corridor which means we were blocked by a corner room from seeing the beautiful courtyard below us. We enjoyed our stay, and the hotel is absolutely beautiful, but we spent allot of money and were put in one of the most undesirable rooms # 412. Parking off premises, long walk, 1 1/2 blocks. $25 a night.

MSI is in a great location. Across the street from the Charleston Market and within walking distance of several restaurants. The courtyard was wonderful for breakfast and the afternoon wine reception was very enjoyable
The parking is terrible! The lot is at least two and a half bocks away, plus there is a charge. There’s an empty pay lot next to the inn, why not make arrangements for guests to park there. Additionally, would like to have a coffee maker in the room, although coffee was available in lobby with to-go cups

The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room and facilities were very clean. The breakfast, wine and cheese and cookie times were terrific! The lobby and courtyard were beautiful and well maintained.
The front door to our hotel and the door to the bathroom, both, were too wide/swollen from the humidity and they stuck terribly. Very hard to open or close without making a lot of noise and a huge effort. The room floor needed a good scrubbing. Would have been nice to have a microwave in-room. Lots of noise in the room or balcony walkway above us, even after 10pm. Don’t know if it’s just the nature of the old flooring or that the people above us walked extra heavily and had kids running or was there some construction such as new carpeting being installed? Don’t know.

An attractive property with easy access to restaurants, Festival venues and shops with a free parking for guests just 2 blocks away. The breakfast was good and guests also enjoy a wine reception with snacks much welcomed in the afternoon. Staff members friendly and helpful. I would heartily recommend Meeting Street Inn especially for its great location to Festival venues and good restaurants!
It would be nice to provide ice water all day at reception

The location was PERFECT - right in the heart of the historic French Quarter! This inn was historic, quaint, and comfortably elegant. To stay in an historic inn in Charleston is idyllic, and we were within walking distance of everything downtown. The bed was comfortable, and we had a walk-in shower (no tub - yay!). For having squeaky floorboards, I didn't hear others in the rooms around us. The four lamps in our room gave it such a cozy vibe, and the fountain in the courtyard just topped it all off. I appreciated the price point of this inn, as it afforded us the opportunity to stay downtown without having to stay in a Marriot or Best Western-type place. I got the full Charleston experience! The staff were very also nice, and we appreciated the 5pm 'cocktail' hour and 8pm cookies and tea.
If I'm being picky, I'd say the quality of the food started to deteriorate come Sunday into the start of the week.

Next to the marketplace and the tours. I loved having the continental breakfast on the balcony The balcony rooms seem to be the quietest. Located at the back of the property with no one next to us. Even without the balcony, you could sit outside in the courtyard for morning coffee.the makeup remover wipes were a bonus since I forgot mine. Mini fridge was useful for water. I can't say enough how friendly the entire staff was. Overall, I enjoyed my stay. The little issues here and there don't bother me, but others might be put off from it. But seriously, couldn't beat the location!
My first impression was the horribly strong rose smell in the lobby(just hold your breath if you get headaches). The bathroom was stocked, but they forgot to clean the toilet and the shower( it was quickly addressed). The view from the balcony was of the courtyard and a parking lot. No mini coffee maker in the room (I would trade the hair dryer for a coffee maker). The valet could've cleaned my windshield from the bird's mess and should have moved my seat back into position, considering I paid extra for valet service with a generous tip. (Really wanted to take back half my tip).

We loved the quaint atmosphere of Meeting Street Inn as well as the continental breakfast, wine and cheese at 5:00, and the nighttime cookies. We especially liked the fact that we could hang out in the lobby and visit with each other-after a day or two, it felt like our home! The rooms were comfortable, and the bathrooms were updated. The location was central to everything we wanted to do, and we walked almost everywhere.
The breakfast could have been updated, but it was very good for a continental breakfast. Also, the plexiglass on the showers should have been extended another few inches-we could not keep water from spilling out on the floors.

The staff were so friendly and the complimentary evening wine was such a nice touch! The big four poster beds in the room were gorgeous and both the bed linens and mattress were exceptionally comfortable. The location CANNOT be beat and it just felt like the most quaint place to stay in Charleston.
Probably out of their control due to the age of the building, but there really was a lack of plug ins! Maybe that's just because it was two of us girls trying to get ready at the same time... hehe

Loved the courtyard with the fountain and the hot tub. The location was perfect to walk to all the places we wanted to see. Although the furniture could use updating we loved the charm of the 4 poster bed and antique furniture in the bedroom but the fact that the bathroom was modern and new. Breakfast was offered every morning (the berries and Greek yogurt were delicious),Wine and appetizers were offered every evening and cookies and milk every night! Coffee and tea was always available in the lobby and cold water was available in the courtyard.
The bed was slightly uncomfortable and the heating system was loud.
