Breakfast was very good and I was surprised more people didn't take advantage of it. The location was excellent, we were able to walk everywhere. Staff were friendly and helpful. The lounge was clean and well stocked with Coffee and tea and biscuits.

Our room was right near the cleaning staff's closet and it was noisy. Also, was surprised to find out we were not in the main building and had to exit to the outside to get to our room. The building we were in resembled a motel building, not what I was anticipating when I booked the room.

Fantastic location! Very helpful staff! Loved the refreshments and newspapers in the sitting room. That is lovely.

The pulllout sofa bed was awful. Felt broken. It must be replaced! Restaurant was very pricey. Would have been nice if complimentary breakfast came with the room as it is an expensive hotel.

We stayed here to celebrate my wife's birthday, we loved it. We highly recommend the Planter Inn! It's a wonderful touch & flavor of Charleston!

Our room has a great coffee station but, there was no creamers in the room.Also, the hot water in the bathroom was only mildly hot. However, I would still stay in the same room again!

Staff was absolutely wonderful, check in process was pleasant and easy. I appreciated the glass of wine! The room was clean and property was easy to navigate.

The property is a bit dated - furniture and decor (couches etc) could use a refresh. Overall, room was comfortable. Wish there had been a refrigerator in the room.

Amazing location, right in the middle of the French Quarter & across from the Market. Walking distance to many restaurants and bars, as well as historical locations. The staff at the hotel was lovely and super helpful. The rooms were modern in spite of the age of the building.

It was definitely a pricey stay relative to stays in other historical downtowns around the country, but in line with other hotels in Charleston.

The property was located in a great area in the historic district so it was easy to walk around and see what was there.

The cost of the the stay is as a little pricey but the hotel was amazing and the location was great

I liked just about everything. The hotel is charming. The staff was all very friendly. If you like shopping and eating, the location couldn’t be better.

I’d have to work to hard to make up something I didn’t like!

Stunning, classic Charleston. A+location. Great staff -from the moment we arrived and the doorman greeted us, till we left. Comfy beds, large bedrooms and baths.

More towels would have been nice. But that’s nitpicking. Everything was great.

Breakfast in the courtyard garden was wonderful. Our waitress, Latrice, was friendly and welcoming. Dinner at the Peninsula Grill was delicious although the room was a bit loud. The Caesar salad, she crab soup, and rack of lamb were wonderful. As always, the coconut cake was awesome!

The swordfish was a bit dry. Our bathroom sink drain (Rm. 310) was slow and the grouting needs to be redone around the tub.

It smelled aromatic from the minute you stepped in. The staff was friendly and helpful. Within walking distance of shopping, dining and points of interest.

The room could have had better curtains to block out light for sleeping. Towels could be softer.
