Breakfast was very good and I was surprised more people didn't take advantage of it. The location was excellent, we were able to walk everywhere. Staff were friendly and helpful. The lounge was clean and well stocked with Coffee and tea and biscuits.

Our room was right near the cleaning staff's closet and it was noisy. Also, was surprised to find out we were not in the main building and had to exit to the outside to get to our room. The building we were in resembled a motel building, not what I was anticipating when I booked the room.

Location was very convenient. All staff were gracious, competent and helpful. Price was reasonable compared to other hotels in the area. Our suite was spacious and nicely appointed. The on-site upscale restaurant, Peninsula Grille, was excellent.

It would have been nice if the hotel had a pool given how hot and humid it was the week we were there. Of course, we knew that it didn’t when we booked.

Fantastic location! Very helpful staff! Loved the refreshments and newspapers in the sitting room. That is lovely.

The pulllout sofa bed was awful. Felt broken. It must be replaced! Restaurant was very pricey. Would have been nice if complimentary breakfast came with the room as it is an expensive hotel.

We stayed here to celebrate my wife's birthday, we loved it. We highly recommend the Planter Inn! It's a wonderful touch & flavor of Charleston!

Our room has a great coffee station but, there was no creamers in the room.Also, the hot water in the bathroom was only mildly hot. However, I would still stay in the same room again!

Staff was absolutely wonderful, check in process was pleasant and easy. I appreciated the glass of wine! The room was clean and property was easy to navigate.

The property is a bit dated - furniture and decor (couches etc) could use a refresh. Overall, room was comfortable. Wish there had been a refrigerator in the room.

Amazing location, right in the middle of the French Quarter & across from the Market. Walking distance to many restaurants and bars, as well as historical locations. The staff at the hotel was lovely and super helpful. The rooms were modern in spite of the age of the building.

It was definitely a pricey stay relative to stays in other historical downtowns around the country, but in line with other hotels in Charleston.

Expensive. Room on first floor (104) with window that looks directly onto Meeting St sidewalk. Because of humidity, room is a bit damp feeling.

The property was located in a great area in the historic district so it was easy to walk around and see what was there.

The cost of the the stay is as a little pricey but the hotel was amazing and the location was great

I liked just about everything. The hotel is charming. The staff was all very friendly. If you like shopping and eating, the location couldn’t be better.

I’d have to work to hard to make up something I didn’t like!

Stunning, classic Charleston. A+location. Great staff -from the moment we arrived and the doorman greeted us, till we left. Comfy beds, large bedrooms and baths.

More towels would have been nice. But that’s nitpicking. Everything was great.
