Location is very good. Close to everything we needed. The yellow umbrella is great to have lunch options. The room was clean. The breakfast was good. Many food options to choose from.

There is no room cleaning service. Only towels and trash. We didn’t get towels or trash removal each day. Seemed like every other day. No TP replacement until we asked. No sweeping of sand unless we asked. For the price of the stay it seems the hotel could afford housekeepers.

We love the beach and the breakfast was awesome! The staff in the restaurant was super nice 🙂👍! And the welcome desk employees were very helpful.

In the past we've been coming to Dayton House for more than 30 years! However this time we were a bit disappointed. We noticed alot of things that needed repairs, like the decking ( which they were working on) and piers. The spigot at our pier didn't work so we couldn't rinse our feet when we came off of the beach. Also, the hot tub didn't work properly in the suite building. We noticed the maid service was different this time, not as good. We found the room in fair shape when we arrived , but during our stay, no vacuuming or bed making was done. Our bed was not very comfortable. We had a king oceanfront suite which was nice. However one would think there would be more comfortable mattresses in such a room, but it was too hard. And the carpets needed cleaning. They were sticky.

Absolutely loved the location and the view! I loved that the kitchen was mostly stocked, which made making quick meals easy! Staff at the yellow umbrella were very friendly and made great drinks! Although we had access to all of the buildings/pools my boys had so much fun in the pool and lazy river at our building we didn’t even use the other pools. The outdoor areas were very clean and all of the chairs/tables were such a great addition. Nothing better than eating dinner with a beautiful view!

I felt like the property was dated in certain areas and definitely needed some additional cleaning. Lots of stains throughout all of the floors, our bedroom floor clearly hadn’t been vacuumed because there was food crumbs and a hair tie on the floor. The kitchen and bathroom tile floors were so sticky I had to mop them with a towel because our shoes kept sticking to them. The couch cushions hadn’t been put back on properly which isn’t a big deal at all but made me question the overall cleanliness of the room along with the other issues. I am a cleaner for airbnbs in my area and I wouldn’t leave a house in that condition for my guests.

The food and location was great. The staff was wonderful for the most part. The view, pools, hot tubs, lazy river, room, balcony with chairs,& the beach were all fantastic. Anything you need or want to do is right in the area within a mile at the most.

The manager on duty when I called after extending our stay an extra day was very rude and snappy on the phone with me. The lady on duty when we arrived at night was very very nice. But when I extended stay and attempted to use express checkin was not knowledgeable about the policy. Online it said they could send a digital key to my mobile device. I wasn’t feeling well and was locked out of the room. But she said they don’t do that, that I had to come down for a new key. The restaurant we went to for breakfast was across the street so it was a long walk or a drive to get there. They ran out of certain food items everyday unless you arrived early. The ice machines were broken so we always had to go to other buildings for ice throughout our stay. (5nights total)

Rooms were excellent. Very clean and nice. Very nice pool area with an outside bar. Beach access was excellent. Staff was one of the best that I've seen anywhere. Very nice and courteous. Very good breakfast. Very nice lawn area with chairs, tables, and umbrellas.

Not enough handicap parking. We were able to park underneath a few times. Be nice if someone could watch the pool area. A few guest had whole plates of food in pool. Also didn't like the way the guest left the lawn area. Staff had a lot of c;leaning to do every morning. Damn shame.

The king suite ocean view was so amazing to have and relax with the views. I loved all the pool options & the easy access to the beach. This resort also feels very in the middle of everything which is great. My favorite thing was the big pool and being able to lay in the shallow end with a book.

The elevators were a bit much to handle. They took exceptionally long and kept getting redirected. We spent more than 10 minutes waiting for one. The beds were a little on the rough hard side but the suite as a whole was great!

Loved the location, the amenities and how family friendly everything is. The breakfast was delicious and the staff was always going above and beyond to help us and make sure our stay was good. At the Rose room, Lillie, Brenda, Hager and Chad always helped us get situated and make sure our family had everything we needed. They single handedly made our experience go from great to amazing! So happy we chose this resort.

The bedroom with the extra bedroom was not super wheelchair accessible. Having the entrance have a little ramp instead of a little step would make a difference.

We loved this hotel. It is an older hotel so expect that however its clean and comfortable. The property is gorgeous!! It feels tropical with the tall palm trees and tropical foliage . The rooms are basic myrtle beach hotel rooms but what stood out was the smart TVs in the room. There are two TVS That made downtime so much fun!! The beds are very comfortable. Pillows are very soft. Kitchen has everything you need . Coffee pot was a one cup pot so just FYI. But the coffee is good. The breakfast is outstanding!!!!!!!! This sets the hotel apart in my opinion. The pools are amazing. The lounge area is clean and beautiful. We just love it all. You can see both of the skywheels, Broadway and the boardwalk. Its in walking distance to shopping and pizza, ice cream. The pool bar makes milk shakes!

The construction from the city absolutely stinks. Leaving to go home also stinks amd thats all.

Location was great ! Breakfast was ok. Room was a great size and we even got offered an upgrade from a resort view to a ocean view for a small price. Balcony was amazing to have. Multiple pools was a huge bonus never felt to crowded.

Room wasn’t as clean as we would of liked. There was stains on the sheets and pillow cases, left over clothes from the past guest. We also asked for housekeeping to come trade our towels and they never did we had to go to the front desk to ask for towels multiple times by the end of our stay we had a pile of dirty towels and was told house keeping would be up to grab them and bring fresh ones but never once did they come despite having the “need housekeeping” door tag on our door like they asked.

I was a little disappointed that the large Infinity pool was out of commission when it was supposed to be working two weeks before our travel. I was also surprised that the bar and concessions were not open on Sunday
