This is a wonderful historic hotel. We stayed here because it is less than 2 blocks from the theatre. We stay here to see the plays that are showing. It's a short, safe walk in the evening after the play to get back to the hotel. The hotel is an old bank and when you walk into the lobby, you can still see the giant open bank vault. The room was spectacular, clean, the beds incredibly comfortable. It is right in the little downtown heart of Sioux Falls where much is going on and there are many places to eat, shop, have coffee and people-watch. There is a lovely diner a block away, the hotel is right on the river and if you are into the arts, there are sculptures all along the street with a map you can download.

Parking is tight but doable. Most people up here have big trucks and ours was a bit of a squeeze.

Gorgeous hotel, excellent style. Perfect location in the heart of downtown, walking distance to great bars and restaurants.

Low quality paper products. Our room was stylish, but there was zero counter space. No space or a decent mirror to do hair or makeup. Terrible water pressure in the shower. Shelves and step for shaving legs was on the opposite side from the water.

We love the location and boutique design of Hotel Philips. Each room is unique and the beds are very comfortable. Also the blackout curtains were a plus. It's also close to many good dining options.

The little coffee shop needs some better food options. There was one pasty and a soggy yogurt parfait at 8:00 AM when we were heading out.

Beautiful property, beautiful room, loved the lounge The man working the desk on Wednesday (?) was wonderful - we had an unexpected surgery and overnight stay in town and he was so helpful with offering a late checkout and giving us more time to let him know if we’d be staying another night. Went above and beyond and meant so much to us.

Would be nice to have more gluten free options in the lounge/restaurant

We had a room with a river view that was wonderful. The view was just as beautiful at night with the lights reflecting. The Treasury was so unique, a must see! Just a fun hotel to stay at once in a while, but too pricey for long stays.

Wish the room had a microwave. Complimentary continental breakfast would be nice for the price paid and when you are short on time. The Diner down the street was very good but added time to our departure for our long drive to our next destination.

We did not have breakfast. It would be nice if they did have a continental breakfast without raising the price as most other places for the price have that. The decor is amazing everywhere. The room was a bit small but beautiful. There were only 4 k cups in the room, there should be more. The rooms are very dry also. They were short staffed in the morning so check out took a bit longer but I didn't mind it, others may not. Bar closes at 11:00, would be nice if it were open later especially on weekends. We will definitely stay again.

Dryness of the room. Had to go get more k cups for coffee in the morning as there were only 2 in the room. Bar not open qhen we got back to the hotel about midnight.

I love the ambience and feel of the hotel. The renovations done years ago were so well done that they'll be timeless. You get the benefit of the historical charm, along with the upgrades to modern conveniences and style so it's the best of both worlds.

Room was spacious and comfortable, rose petals and swan shaped towels on the bed an unexpected lovely surprise, nice view of a very frozen river. Excellent mattress. Quick check in late at night got us up to our room and out of the cold quickly after a late night plane into the Sioux Falls Airport. No breakfast at hotel but the Phillips Diner a few hundred yards down the street was amazing. Lovely renovation of an old bank building into a beautiful historic hotel.

Not alot of parking spaces here.

The room was a great size and as there were three of us staying (my spouse and our friend) we appreciated having a reasonable amount of space to access our luggage. Bathroom also had lovely decor and our room was pleasantly quiet. The hotel bar was great.

I booked the hotel even though we have good friends in Sioux Falls that we could have stayed with. I was on my way to get a rescue dog in MN with my grown daughter in tow, and thought it may be snice to spend time downtown. I did not want to leave the room~ we did, but i could have just as easily stayed in. We did go to "the vault" and loved that too-though I wish it were a bigger selection o f food. The bartenders and drinks were great. I am a bit of a "margarita snob", but I have no complaints. Well worth the price, and I will stay here again!

PARKING! I parked in the garage across the street but it was raining so it was not close enough to not get wet!
