My wife & I have stayed at this Avid Hotel twice now. The staff both times have been very friendly & helpful. The room is just as we expect. Temperature regulation is a little tricky but both times we stayed it was very humid so I’m sure that plays into it. The breakfast could also be a bit better. However, we, personally, are not fans of “grab & go” breakfasts. Overall, the facility is always clean, staff is friendly, the location is great if you don’t wanna stay smack in the middle of things & it’s very comfortable. We will continue to stay here when visiting Austin & will book future Avid hotels or IHG hotels!

I've stayed at the Austin Tech Ridge Road location twice. This seems to be a fairly new hotel; it's very neat and clean. Staff has been super friendly and helpful. There is no restaurant but some food items are available to purchase. A microwave, hot water and coffee are in the "dining area" of the lobby all day. The included breakfast is good but not great. Both times it was a pre-wrapped biscuit-sausage-egg sandwich. Coffee is good and available all day in both regular and decaf. And juice (orange and cranberry) were available. Overall it's a decent breakfast, just don't expect a spread like you'll find in other hotels. I will definitely stay here again.

Very Clean comfortable room and bed. Great shower. Small refrigerator in room=no microwave. Ok choices for breakfast. Gwendolyn the weekend breakfast host was very friendly and did a great job making us feel welcome. Thank you. Just FYI-- I 35 is under construction so we used Dessau and Cameron as alternatives heading south. Regulating the temperature of the room was challenging - difficult to adjust. The lighting was harsh. We used a scarf over the lamp to make it more pleasant.

The gym was clean and open 24/7. Both the Wi-Fi and A/C worked well. Breakfast was adequate considering the price. Free parking.

The room was smaller than expected and didn't match the photos. The door closer wasn’t functioning properly, so the door didn’t close automatically and had to be checked constantly to ensure it was shut. Sound isolation was poor — I could easily hear noise from the neighboring room. The printer at the workstations wasn’t working either.

The staff checked us in and out very quickly. It was great how supportive and available they are. If I had a question, the staff were friendly and eager to help. The room was very clean, and I liked the Dove hand lotion and Dove hand soap. The quality for the price is such a great value. They provided us plenty of towels to use. I loved staying here, and I would recommend it to friends and family. Avid is definitely a better chain than many I have stayed at.

The Air conditioning unit was a bit loud when I am trying to sleep. It made this strange water trickling sound.

Room was clean and comfortable. Easy to access. The people at the front desk were friendly and helpful.

The breakfast, when stocked was good. Unfortunately 2 of our 3 days the hot items were left empty and we saw guests frustrated and leave. The room was noisy as we frequently heard the other guests above and next to us throughout our stay.

Great value. We enjoyed the 24hr amenities of coffee, water, tea and mineral water in the lobby area It was at a great location with great restaurants close by as well as Walmart and Heb minutes away. Parking is free and it's away from the center of Austin so traffic isn't as bad. Very minimalistic but the room has everything you need. Our room had a tiny fridge which kept our waters cool and ready for the day's activites. We loved that getting to the center was only 20 min away. We would definitely stay again.

The AC didn't cool as much as we would have liked. It wasn't a deal breaker as it was still working. Also, since it's a minimalistic hotel so there's no closet and drawers but there were little cubbies and hooks to hang things in various places around the room. Just different for my OCDness

Excellent accommodation at a very reasonable price. Bed was very comfy and the whole place was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was good, had everything you could want - bagels, fruit, yogurts, granola bars, cereal etc. We would recommend to anyone looking for a well priced, comfortable hotel.

The Avid standard remains intact for the most part.

Like any good thing, maintenance is important. I've stayed in three different Avid hotels in three different cities, Oklahoma City, Corpus Christi, and now Austin, each had their level of serenity and cleanliness. Avid has a good model, but just like McDonald's, it has to have the same look and feel everywhere. The key to its success is this, maintaining a uniform standard of excellence.

Very clean! One of the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed at. Front desk was really nice and very helpful. Location was great and very easy to get to. Room was fantastic for 2 adults and 2 young kids. Beds and pillows were so comfortable. I will stay at here again the next time we have to be in Austin.
