We thoroughly enjoyed our 3-night stay at Sonder The Hogg Palace in Houston. The loft's cleanliness, thoughtful setup, and comfortable amenities contributed to a great experience. The bed and bathroom were particularly noteworthy.

However, we were disappointed by the persistent marijuana smell in the building, despite the clear prohibition in the guidelines. It would be beneficial if there were measures in place to enforce this rule and ensure a completely smoke-free environment for all guests.

I loved the style of this property. Because it’s a loft it allowed me to live out my loft dreams for 3 days and 2 nights. We got a whole 1 bed 1 bath living room and kitchen for $300 that’s a great deal in my eyes.

I did not like the sofa that was in the unit. It had some stains and some rips so we were not comfortable sitting on it. Instead to watch power on it we threw our top flat sheet over it to feel a bit more comfortable.

The one bedroom apartment was great. Lovely big king size bed, great washer and dryer and fantastic kitchen area. The staff were very friendly and personable, happy to jump up and open the door if they see you coming. There are a few areas that need a little attention like kitchen counter trim, a few missing areas in the wool flooring ect. Although it adds to the rustic look if the apartment subtle fixes and updates would make a big difference. A few more furnishings would also give the industrial space a little more of a softer touch for example a blanket for the couch, a bookcase in the middle enclave between the windows and perhaps more big mirrors. Although there were an abundance of outlets in the living area, a little side table to put your charging phone or device on would be helpful as they are all just a little to far from the couch or table.

This was a great value because you get a studio apartment with plenty of space for less than a room at a 4 or 5 star hotel! The free coffee machine in the lobby was always stocked and ready for use, including decaf coffee beans. The property staff were all very kind and helpful. They were able to receive some of my deliveries several weeks ahead of my arrival! The location is great, very accessible to The Hobby Center for musicals/theater shows, a lot of food and bars on Main Street, and especially Lyric Market located right across the front door! The washer also included a box of detergent and the dryer was also efficient.

The "business centre" is actually a clever tablet located in the lobby. You can login to your email or access your plane tickets for printing using built-in apps. For my particular room, the air conditioning system was very loud! I was told by staff that it is the norm for some rooms but I am not sure about the proportion of rooms with this loud air conditioning system.

I love that this property is a hotel and airbnb combined! Super spacious apartment but no list of checkout cleanup. A decade long user of airbnbs, I have always said this would be the ideal. Thank you Wyndham for offering it!

I don’t think the property is entirely finished yet so it was a bit rough around the edges but the apartment itself was well prepared and lovely. I would certainly stay here again. Stainless steel pans are awesome (but I wasn’t prepared for that with oil or butter and one night is too short to buy it). Dishwasher. Laundry. I mean really a great space that is huge inside. Front desk personnel were very friendly and helpful both when I checked in and checked out. Parking garage under the apartments ticked my last box.

Lots of great lighting. The staff was amazing. Attentive and friendly. 10/10 each and every staff member I encountered.

I just wish there was a door from the room To living room. I didn’t know there was no door! Also the restroom tub was huge! Kinda dangerous getting into it with the slippery tub. Maybe ad some kind of warning or step. Also the jets in the tub seemed a little rusty/unclean so we definitely didnt use them. Otherwise its a lovely space, would recommend.

Great location, great staff and amazing amenities. I felt that on a four week holiday that I wasn’t in a hotel and had a homely feel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Amazing coffees and great location.

Nothing directly about the property, but if you contact the number try not to press option 1 unless required. Suspect the booking team is offshore, when I spoke with them they couldn’t understand or help me. Called back pressed 2 for front desk and the team sorted my question in less than 30 seconds, highly recommend staying here over any other hotel.

There was no breakfast available, although booking.com sign up indicated that SOME rooms had that option available. Saw no place to choose that...confusing! Location WAS EXCELLENT.

There were NO pictures of the specific units available, and WITH no clarification of which room that is pictured. Also other pictures of the area need to be identified as to what you are viewing. Need explanations of what relationship it has to this specific property!

I travel to Houston monthly and have stayed here 2x. This is the only place I will stay from now on. The rooms are clean and massive, they are definitely over 1000 sqft. Full kitchen, TV, large tub with jets, clean bathroom. There are very few amenities, which is what separates it from a 5-star hotel, but it is surrounded by restaurants and bars. If you need something, you can find it within walking distance. If you're looking for an extended stay in downtown Houston, this is the best place.

The garage is small and parking is tight

Not what I expected at all. This is a largish apartment with a kitchen/breakfast bar, sitting area, laundry room (seperate washer and dryer), huge closet, bathroom. The ceilings are very high and there's a strong post-industrial vibe to the place. There is no reception and all the doors have coded entry. I arrived a 4am to a new building in a new city and the code to my room wasn't accepted. However, the helpline number I called was answered quickly by a helpful human being who, after security checks, re-programmed the door and I could enter. I enjoyed staying here but can see that it might not be everyones cup of tea. The hallway outside my apartment had no natural light and the decor was mainly concrete and steel so I felt it was a bit creepy but I should probably watch fewer horror films. They had put a Chrome Cast TV in my apartment which I hadn't seen anywhere else. I thought this was a great idea as I could cast my own movies and TV shows. Although I would say that I enjoy watching the local news when I'm in a city for the first time.

The accomodation clearly isn't set up to be like this but I do like having a staffed reception of some kind. It add a sense of security.
