The Overton team is welcoming, helpful and attentive to details. For example, the young lady who delivered our room service added a small vase of fresh flowers “just to brighten your day.” The bellman jumped in to help us with our luggage when we asked to switch rooms for a walk-in shower to accommodate my mom, and he even went and filled a bucket of ice for our drinks. Oh, and the espresso martinis are phenomenal!

When I made my reservation three weeks prior to our stay, I messaged the property through Booking.com to ask for a handicap-friendly room. I never received a response. At check in, I asked and the hotel didn’t have any of these rooms available. Our second night, my mom asked again and a room had fortunately opened up, but we were switching rooms at 10 pm. I don’t feel I can hold the hotel fully responsible as this could’ve been an issue with Booking.

This was our first time in Lubbock so we knew nothing about the area, We booked this hotel based on the map location to the Airport and the price. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised by the location, right next to the Texas Tech Stadium. The overall vibe of the hotel was very welcoming and felt luxurious. It was beautiful and extra specially decorated for the holiday season. It felt very high end but the price was very affordable for our family, we were there only for the night and didn't get to utilize many of the amenities onsite, But they were very appealing had we been there longer I would have liked to take advantage of the onsite restaurant and coffee shop. We did use the business center to print a few things, and it was very easy to use. The lobby was very inviting with free Hot Apple Cider upon arrival. The customer service was amazing and professional. We had a little issue with our toilet and they were very quick to get it addressed in a very professional manner. Also love the nice touch of two complimentary bottles of water in the room.

The beds were a little soft for my liking. The GPS directions took us to the back of the hotel, so that was a little confusing with the parking / front door entry navigation.

The hotel was situated right on campus . Parking was easy and safe The hotel is well presented. We had dinner on the deck and the food and drink were excellent. The exercise room was well equipped and clean. Room was very clean and comfortable . The staff was very professional and accommodating .Everything about the hotel was exactly how it should be. A well run hotel .

I liked everything

Friendly staff, very nice property, comfortable beds, loved the big bath towels and we enjoyed our stay. Everyone was super friendly and accommodating. The property was clean and the rooms were nice. The meals were delicious and filling. We really liked the complimentary water since we are part camels. Great view of the Texas Tech football stadium, indoor practice field and outdoor practice field.

Emptying the garbage cans near the elevator twice a day would be a more fitting. Also, our breakfast tray was not picked up from the hallway until over sixteen hours. Those would be our only criticism. Other than those, great hotel.

We stayed while visiting family. I appreciated being in a "real" hotel with room service, a restaurant, and a bar. The property was very attractive. We appreciated having more than one luggage rack in our room.

The sheets on our bed seemed a little small. One corner of the sheet kept popping off which was a bit annoying. Everything else was very good.

Unfortunately the breakfast was not included.

I asked if there was a military, senior, or retired educator discount or amenity available. It would have been nice if they acknowledged us or included some sort of discount at the restaurant. I must say our server Caleb, in training, will most certainly be an asset for the restaurant!

Pool and pool service were delightful. Location next to campus and near the arts center can't be beat. Best location in Lubbock. Well appointed room. Wonderful bar/breakfast are for sitting downstairs with outside fire pits.

Sheets kept coming off the mattress and I'm not. A huge fan of Google TV. Otherwise, all good!

Staff, location and facilities were all great. Easy and quick check-in & check-out. Nice large room! (We were in a room with two queen beds) Lots of work space / desk space

AC in out room was pretty loud - The AC fan noise was like full throttle when it comes on. Kept waking us up. So we did not sleep well. The bed mattresses seem pretty worn. They tend to roll us to the middle of the bed. When sleeping two people on the bed, we had to cling to the outside edges.

Property is always very clean, odor free and comfortable. I like the convenience of the restaurant and Starbucks located on 1st floor. Location is great, walking distance to Texas Tech stadium. I stay here frequently when visiting TTU.

Parking is not the best, can be a little dark at night.

The Overton never disappoints! The hotel is very nice and near Texas Tech, making the location great. They have on site security so that you don’t have to worry about your vehicle. They have a bar, restaurant and room service.

What is not to love???
