We loved the peaceful location of the ranch, it felt like a true escape. The beds were very comfortable, and one morning we were greeted by the friendly Great Pyrenees dogs resting by our door. Most of our days were spent exploring the national park, so we didn’t get to experience everything the ranch offers, but we saw plenty of guests enjoying guided horseback tours and watching bison. The restaurant was a real highlight after a full day of hiking, the delicious food was such a treat. Highly recommend stopping by for a meal! The ranch is about a 45 minute drive from Zion’s Visitor Center.

I cannot rave about this place enough! It’s beautiful with the bison roaming and seeing mountains/canyons all around you. The cabin is a good size with a very comfortable bed and a large tub that was perfect for soaking after hikes. The restaurant is so delicious, we ate there every night! The staff was all friendly and helpful! You could see so many stars at night and they also do campfires by the lobby for you. We booked a sunset horseback riding tour with them on the ranch that was so beautiful and peaceful. Everything was just an amazing experience. We loved sitting on the back patio at sunset watching the bison with a glass of wine! And it’s dog friendly, so it was a great comfortable spot for our dog to hang out while we did non dog friendly hikes in Zion.
Nothing! The restaurant was always cold at night but really that’s it!

Zion Mountain Ranch – Beautiful and Authentic Stay The cabins are very beautiful and full of charm, perfectly blending with the natural surroundings. The food was excellent, and the whole atmosphere of the ranch felt warm, welcoming, and authentic. A very sympathetic and fitting place to stay when visiting Zion.

Love the location, between Kanab and Zion, beautiful meadows and private cabins, quiet. Dinner at their restaurant was great, staff kind and helpful. Best of all we loved the animals- buffalo, horses including a mare and foal, and the great Pyrenees dogs & puppies. Enjoyed Lakota, the Cheyenne man, and his healing drumming.
Our cabin (#122) had great location but the interior needs work. TV only does DVDs, screen to the only window loose and not fitting /falling out, spa controls not working great and smelled, stove had been taken out. Not enough dishes (shared one plate for all meals). A bit rustic for the cost.

Zion Mountain Ranch is an absolute gem for anyone who loves nature and animals. The peaceful surroundings, open landscapes, and the presence of wildlife create a truly special experience. But what made our stay unforgettable were the dogs. Warm, welcoming, and full of personality, they felt like our true hosts—always greeting us with wagging tails and gentle eyes. Our kids instantly fell in love with them, and their presence added a heartwarming, homely touch that no five-star service could match.
If we could offer one piece of advice—and it’s not even a complaint—it’s this: consider adding a small pond or a pool for those hot summer days. With that addition, Zion Mountain Ranch could easily become the ultimate destination for families.

A beautiful living ranch with large country cabins, ours had 2 comfy king size beds, w/ great AC & heat, classic bathrooms with tub and decent shower water pressure, plenty of electrical outlets, a mini fridge, cozy couch and large rustic wooden table to seat 4 with a great view, parking out our front door with a small porch & bench with an amazing views of the Zion canyons, very close to the Route 9 East Entrance, sunset horse back ride was guided and a herd of bison to watch and cute Shetland ponies guests can feed with giant friendly Pyrenees Hounds patrolling the grounds to keep away the coyotes and bears at night. Nice gift shop lounge with friendly staff and really enjoyed speaking with Chef at the greenhouse, he can do a perfect hangar steak and make a tasty southern style chili, his cheese board was excellent. The breakfast buffet $16 was deluxe with eggs, potatoes, sausage, bacon, pancakes, and even had salmon with capers.
Some cabins have a few stairs to the porch without a rail so be sure to request a cabin that’s handicapped accessible in advance if you need it.

Fantastic location just outside the East entrance to Zion. Shortly after our arrival, we were taken out to view and feed the ranches’ herd of 60 American Bison which roam the 8000 acre property. A great place for families with kids- horses and ponies to ride, dogs, chickens… We didn’t take advantage of the restaurant on the property but the menu looked very good and creative.
The cabins were generally neat, clean and offered all the basics, but the heating and AC unit in our unit was very noisy- had to turn it on for head then turn it off before bed. The windows had no screens so we were hesitant to open them.

The ranch had beautiful views of plateaus in the distance, not to mention the bison roaming right near all of the cabins. There was plenty of space in the cabin. The beds were comfortable, as well as the pillows. My oldest kids really enjoyed interacting with the animals on the property. The dogs at the ranch were very friendly.
We only started out with 2 washcloths for 4 people, and there was no extra roll of toilet paper in the cabin. We were able to ask for extras without a problem, but since everything is spread out on the property, we didn’t realize we needed more toilet paper until late at night.

Our stay was perfect except the arrival and check in. Our dog small Jack Russel almost got killed by the ranch dogs inside the check in barn. There was no sign or message prior to our arrival to not come inside with dogs. If my husband wouldn’t have reacted as fast as he did our dog would not be alive today. All the check in girl said was ou I’m sorry I didn’t see you have a dog. I love that this place is dog friendly but please put up a sign at the door or inform your guests about this. I checked all my emails of the confirmation of the booking that I had on my phone in my emails and on my booking.com account no where was anything noted.

Stunning location! The lodges are absolutely beautiful and positioned perfectly for the sunset. Easy drive into Zion.
We sadly experienced terrible service in the restaurant. Booked for 8pm. No-one greeted us on arrival, and we were still waiting to be seated half an hour later despite there being several free tables. We didn't have cutlery when our food arrived and one of our orders was wrong. Staff looked like they had all fallen out with one another. Expected a lot more from an expensive restaurant. Decided to eat elsewhere on subsequent nights. Unfortunately there weren't many other options around.
