This hotel is conveniently situated in Mt. Carmel Junction, offering a one-hour drive to Bryce Canyon National Park and a mere 20-minute drive to the east entrance of Zion National Park. Guests can expect a comfortable and enjoyable stay at this establishment. Furthermore, there is an adjacent restaurant available for dining convenience, in addition to the presence of a nearby Subway restaurant and two conveniently located gas stations.

For guests arriving late in the evening, it is advisable to plan dinner arrangements in advance. The adjacent restaurant closes its doors at 8 PM and generally does not accept reservations beyond 6:30 PM. To ensure a dining spot, it is recommended to contact them ahead of time and make dinner reservations. Failing to do so may require a 20-30 minute drive to access alternative dining options.

We felt like home! The staff at the reception was so nice and friendly - they are there until 10pm and we were running kind of late cause spent more time hiking at Zion than we initially thought and we also had a heavy snow on our way there. They were texting us to confirm the time of our arrival to arrange a late check in if needed (arrived to the hotel around 9pm) - unfortunately we couldn’t see those messages until we were close to the hotel due to lack of service around the mountains, however it’s always nice to know that they are taking care of those details. They are also in front of a gas station and a great restaurant where we had a very nice breakfast. The bed was great and really comfortable, we also had a good coffee machine, great to have the iron in the room without the need to ask for it. Great WiFi!! This was important after having a poor experience with this in our previous hotel in Vegas. We only stayed for 1 night but we wished we could’ve stayed longer there.

Perhaps the only thing to write here is that we spent a little while trying to figure out how to use the shower instead of the bathtub

We loved the location of the property and how close it was located to Zion National Park. The staff was friendly. The room was clean and property was well maintained. The restaurant that was located in the lodge was fantastic and just added even more positive things to our stay, it was a was choice for breakfast/lunch/dinner.

The laundry facility room was not as kept up and up to date as our room was. I would have liked to have seen it cared for like the room was, you could tell they had been updated somewhat recently and taken care. The laundry area lacked that care.

The pool area and restaurant/gift shop/convenience store were amazing for a family with 3 kids. It was hot and we used the pool and hot tub each day! The restaurant was good, but $$. Good proximity to Zion national park and some fun hiking options.

A fitness room would’ve been nice. I checked in 2 hours early and was told it would be $20 to check in early. After a 9 hour drive it was worth it to me, but I’ve never been charged extra if the room is available early. Ever. And I travel a lot. Doesn’t feel great to the guest, so might want to re-evaluate that policy…

The hotel was in the perfect location for visiting Zion National Park. It is just outside the park. We stayed there because we were doing a national park trip. The hotel itself was clean and perfect for what we needed. Unfortunately, the restaurant on the premises and the gift shop on the premises were not open at the time because they couldn't find people to run them so they had to close for a day or two per week. The room itself was very spacious and comfortable. If I come back to Mount Carmel Junction, I would stay at this Best Western again.

Everything was great about this hotel, we did an 18-day road trip through CA,AZ,NV and UT and this was probably our favorite hotel we stayed at. The room was clean and spacious and very nicely decorated. We particularly liked the removable shower head as europeans ☺️

A classic roadside-style motel with a standard, small room where everything was compact but functional. The room was relatively clean and had everything we needed. We especially liked the small balcony with direct access to the pool and even a jacuzzi.

The air conditioner was very loud, making it difficult to sleep at night — light sleepers may find it especially disturbing.

Great location, the room was very clean and it looked amazing, also the heated pool open 24/7 was a gem!

The only one thing I have to say about is that I have been unlucky to have one of the lawn sprinklers right outside our door and the noise was so loud that it woke me up at 5 am and could not sleep. Called reception, and shortly after it was off, not sure if it was programmed to go off anyone or if they did something about it

Fell in love with this place. After completing our scenic drive through Zion National Park, the Thunderbird Lodge was conveniently located on the same road. The attached store and restaurant are such an asset. Our room has a wonderful cabin feel with large ceiling to floor windows to view golf course and hills. Very pleased we picked this spot to stay!

This is one of the first times that I am glad to be able to review a hotel for positive things! We got our room on a semi-whim, on our way back from a trip up north, and I actually told my wife that this is one of my favorite hotel stays ever! The staff (Amanda) was great! The room was spacious, clean, well-situated, and comfortable. The restaurant was fun, unique, and the wait staff was great. The only complaint that I would have is that there was no exercise room, but there was a golf course, and other activities available that I did not take time to enjoy! I would definitely return, and I would love to spend more time there!
