Nice facility, very retro. This place could be a real winner with good marketing and a better staff.

Water in shower was luke warm. The lady doing breakfast did not explain what all was available. There was juice and yoghurt in the refrigerator but it had a sign about burritos on the front and unless you looked past that you did not know what was available. Also, she spent half of her time outside on her phone. Also, we had to walk a block down the street in order to get a receipt for our stay.

The room was clean, and included nice touches such as makeup towelettes and fridge. We very much enjoyed the quaint and safe neighborhood. A good (and inexpensive) taco truck located in the parking lot allowed us to enjoy a quick dinner as we sampled a free music concert, only a few blocks away. Aiken also offered a full, complimentary breakfast (a few doors down at the sister motel Best Western). When we had last minute change of plans, Aiken granted us a late check-out. I would definitely book again if I am near Kanab!

I wish the pool offered earlier hours. That is, if the pool had opened at 7 or 8am, then we could have enjoyed a morning swim. However, it opened at 9am, which, sadly, was too late since we needed to get an early start in the day.

We reserved 2 queens, not knowing we'd have 2 bedrooms! Also, each headboard was backlighted (very cool).. it took a while to find the on off switch (along one side). Beds were exceptionally comfortable. We enjoyed sitting outside on the old-timey metal lawn chairs, watching people and traffic go by. The whole atmosphere was reminiscent of a 1950s motorcourt. Compared to the cost of other nearby places, Aiken was considerably less and just as comfy.

Coffee pot and pods made a poor cup. I'm glad I brought my own single serve. I'm glad their website mentions that breakfast, pool, and hot tub are at their sister property located down the street on the next corner. It really is only a minute or two away. But still...

They have a large parking area close to the rooms, and there are two fire pits where you can sit and relax after your trip.

If you want to use a swimming pool, you have to go to the Best Western pool across the street. Breakfast was poor — just coffee, tea, yogurt, bread, and a small cup of jam. The bathroom was dirty, with a lot of unfamiliar hairs. I had to clean it myself before using it.

1 night stay in Kanab, which is a fun little town to explore. Motel room was decorated cute with modern/retro looking refrigerator etc. It is located in the heart of downtown, so easy to park car and explore shops, restaurants etc. The bed was so comfortable that I would like to purchase that brand soon. Breakfast is provided at sister property Best Western, which is a very short walk. A hearty breakfast including Eggs, sausage, yogurt, biscuits & gravy, juices, coffee etc. we’re provided. Sister property looked very nice too! I like staying at retro style motels that are clean & quiet. You definitely receive great value at this motel!

Old-style motel with some lovely fancy touches, very conveniently located.

Breakfast wasn’t great—limited options, and I didn’t like that there’s no dedicated dining area. You have to either take everything back to your room or eat standing near the reception. In the rooms there is no microwave.

I can't rate this hotel because when we arrived it was closed and all guests were accommodated in the neighboring Best Western Red Hills. This was the only hotel on our trip that offered a room with two bedrooms and separate beds for the children. Very comfortable beds.

The front desk was awesome, getting my room set up and providing additional information on the events in Kanab. I try to stay at the Aiken every time I travel through Kanab because it is a well-kept, rustic motel in a well-kept jewel of a town. They have upgraded the appliances to retro (vintage 50's) style exterior and that adds a bit of flavor to the experience.

Can't think of a thing.

Very friendly and helpful staff! The room was a bit old, but very clean and well maintained + all the furniture was new. They also have good restaurants in few feet away from the entrance.

The only downside would be that the breakfast was in another, sister hotel, 1 minute walk away from this one.

Very convenient location, very nice people, everything is very clean. I felt very comfortable staying at Aikens Lodge.

The only drawback was really loud AC unit. Even on low fan speed it sounded like a jet engine to me. But I am a sensitive sleeper, could be OK for others.
