The Holiday Inn Express in Lorton has always been good for us. The location , breakfast, room and value are great. We just had 1 complaint this time, when we arrived in the room, there were 2 half used rolls of toilet paper in the bathroom. Thus when we needed more, we had to use tissues. We told the maid when we went to breakfast and she put a roll in front of our door. There usually are a couple of extra rolls in the cabinet but we looked everywhere and there were none. Upon checking out, I advised the front desk of the situation. Otherwise, we loved our stay and will use it again if they travel on the Autotrain.

The breakfast was excellent. In addition to the eggs and sausage there was potatoes. Which adds to the same old breakfast at other hotels. Enjoyed the pancakes. Coffee on the outside wall was nice as to not having to wait for people getting their breakfast. Perfect temperature in the room, not too cold. Room was clean as was the bathroom spotless. 😀

Nothing everything was great. Great location as we booked the Autotrain Although we did not swim, the pool looked clean and inviting.

Location to Amtrak station. I felt safe. The breakfast was good. The coffee was hot and the ladies who worked the food area were very pleasant and kind.

Some noisy kids running through the hall around 9pm pounding on doors and laughing. A fellow guest opened his door and yelled at them and I think they yelled back at him but then it calmed down so maybe he called you guys at the desk now I know you have no control over this, but I think you were notified and did something because it stopped so thank you

Great room layout heat worked well Nice and clean bathroom Breakfast had a pancake maker instead of waffle a good change the Breakfast selection was good the front desk staff very welcoming. A pool table in lobby was a nice amenity. A very good stay

Very minor issues The automatic air fresheners in the hallways and lobby area need to be set to a lower level. While scent was nice it was very overwhelming at times. The headboards in the rooms needed dusting this is common in a lot of hotels.

The breakfast was very good. Our room was very clean and the very large tv was a plus. I really liked the walk in shower because I have difficulty getting in and out of tubs. We would definitely stay there again.

The room had a very musty smell when we first stepped in. After putting on the AC, the smell mostly disapated. The walk in shower had issues with draining the shower water and sometimes came out on the floor if you did not direct the spray nozzle in the proper direction.

We really enjoyed everything about this facility. It was either fairly new, or newly refurbished. We had to get the building maintenance guy come up to setup the TV but then was fine. Complementary breakfast was good, as was the desk manager. We selected this facility due to its proximity to the Amtrak AutoTrain. Would highly recommend it for anyone taking the AutoTrain the next day.

Very clean but there was a little trash still in the trash can. Beds were great! Breakfast was better than others. Elevator was clean .

The caulking around the tub was in bad shape but shower worked fine. The staff was very good but they were very short on staff and there were no luggage carts at reception. Elderly were struggling with luggage and canes. Most of us were going on the auto train.

The property is updated, well maintained, and clean. Room was clean and perfect for what I needed. Location was very near AmTrak Auto Train Station which was important for this trip. Plenty of parking the night I stayed. Everyone that worked there was helpful, friendly, always available to answer my questions, and very kind. Breakfast exceeded my expectations. Stayed one one night on my trip passing through and had an outstanding experience.

Can not think of anything I did not like.

The bed was very comfortable and cushioning. However, if you’re accustomed to a firm mattress, you might find it uncomfortable. I like the choice of pillows either firm or soft. The room was clean and the front desk personnel was very friendly. Breakfast was basic, but very good.

There was nothing that I can pinpoint that I didn’t like

Breakfast was good, and well prepared. Room was neat and clean. Everything was nice.

There was only one luggage cart for a large hotel. The other one was there with a sign saying it was broken. The repair would have takes 15 to 20 minutes but I guess it does not matter. I was traveling with two other retired people and have to carry the luggage to the room on the far side of the 2nd floor.
