ESA Merrifield has 2 floors but NO elevator. So, if you have difficulty with stairs, request a ground floor room. The staff did accommodate us by switching us to a ground floor room the next day. ESA Merrifield advertises that they have breakfast. Next to the coffee service in the lobby, they have a rack with packages of instant oatmeal, for which they have hot water. As for anything else, there's only a packaged muffin and/or a "fruit bar," which is really a long fig newton-like item. This is not even a continental breakfast. ESA Merrifield is comfortable enough, and the rooms are clean. Each room has a TV, an electric stovetop and a refrigerator. As expected, the bathroom comes with soap and shampoo. It's a pretty good location, maybe a mile from Dunn Loring Metro. It's reasonably priced for the area.

Not knowing that there was no elevator for the 2nd floor. The A/C was good - easily adjustable - but the fan was a little loud. And for 2 people, the bed could have used a 4th pillow.

The room was clean and in a great location. In the room they initially gave me the fridge wasn't working. When I called the front desk, the guy working was very polite and helpful and searched around for a room that would be really close so I wouldn't have to move all my stuff far. He also came all the way up to the room to give me the new key which I appreciated. When I went to breakfast the first morning the lady working there was very friendly and helpful when I asked about the coffee. Also, when I called for a late checkout on the last day, they allowed me to do this with no issue and so I was able to get done what I needed. I wish I could remember their names to put them here, but I don't. Overall I thought the staff were very nice.

Fantastic location within walking distance of Fairfax Inova Hospital and restaurants. Easy access on and off the Beltway. Short drive to shopping center and grocery stores. Rooms do not initially come equipped with utensils, etc but are available on request at the front desk.

Some wear and tear but cleanliness was not an issue and everything worked.

Maria was polite and very helpful. We had trouble with our reservation and she solved the problem quickly. I can’t forget the assistant manager/manager who checked me out, she was super awesome. 👏🏾

Front desk staff was fantastic. The size of the room was great. Shower was amazing..great temperature and pressure. Comfy beds. Great little kitchen if you intend on cooking. Quiet room.. being next to the hospital and a busses going by I expected to hear something, but super quiet. Laundry room was clean. Good options in the vending machine.

The "breakfast included" was a bit of a disappointment. Expecting more of a breakfast rather than pre wrapped small chocolate or corn muffins, 2 flavors of nature valley granola bars and instant oatmeal. I wasn't the only one that peeked in the lounge area expecting more. It was very 2020/early 2021 hotel spread.

Staff were amazingly accommodating as soon as my wife and I step thru the door during check in and so attentive and easy when checking out, and to be honor the smile was key even though she was busy. It made me feel like she really loved taking care of people. The staff were so engaging and made me feel that I was staying at an establishment that catters to their customers. I give them high praise for being so warm and professional.

I can't think of anything or experienced any concerns.It was our first experience and will be booking future stays, because it's close to my family that live in DC.

The most convenient location to the Inova Fairfax Medical Center with great rates for the area. Shopping, Food, Groceries minutes away

Exterior was a little trashy …

Location was ideal for our business transactions. Room was clean and there was attention to detail. Staff were very accomodating.

I feel investments are needed in the facility maintenance. Additional parking is needed.

Location of the hotel is fantastic - close to the Inova Hospital Complex making it perfect for ambulatory surgery for out of towners. Staff was extremely helpful and provided utensils, shower chair and extra pillows and showing us the room before check in.

The breakfast was very limited - 1 type of muffin, instant oatmeal, and granola bars but good coffee, small selection of teas, instant decaf and cocoa. No juice of milk was available. Understandable that hot buffet items were not available due to covid but refrigerated breakfast sandwiches and bottleed juices and water could have been b added. Heating and cooling unit blew cold air even when off. Broken tile near the tub. No handicapped room available for my husband who has medical needs. Requested a wake up call that was not made. Possibly wrong room was entered.

It was very close to my conference.

There were some kids running around, fighting & being very rude. Thankfully the staff did try to correct their behavior.
