Breakfast was delicious and satisfying every morning. The freshly brewed coffee was too. Robin is a wonderful host. Very sweet, thoughtful, and generous. She made excellent recommendations of places to go and where to eat for lunch and dinner. We especially loved the wrap-around porch with the rocking chairs and beautiful wind chime. It was the joy of every morning and evening. We look forward to staying there again.

We loved our room. It was beautiful and spacious, and the bed was super comfy. The only thing that would have made it better is if there was a full-length mirror. The room only had one small wall mirror in the bathroom, while other rooms had dresser mirrors or an additional wall mirror. There was a large mirror in the hallway outside our room, which was helpful for getting ready. It would have also been nice to have more counter space in the bathroom. You know how it is with us women and all our toiletries and cosmetics that we use in the morning and evening. ;)

Everything about this property is exceptional!!! The accommodations, food, location, and owner were just over the top wonderful!!! I can't say enough good things! This was my husband's first time staying in a B&B, but he said if they are all this nice he would definitely do it again! Loved the private bathrooms in each bedroom! What a plus! The owner is so gracious and conscience of her guests, no stone left unturned! She took wonderful care of us and so personable!!!

There is nothing I can think of that I disliked! It was perfect!!!

The breakfast was the best - bacon, eggs and hash browns were cooked just the way I like it, the coffee was the bomb (Starbucks Pikers Peak) and the fruit bowl was a blessing. There was plenty of food - it lasted me all day! The area was super quiet - no traffic noise because there was no traffic in Rocky Mount. The morning walks after breakfast were fresh and exciting.

Simply lovely. The decor and room furnishings and amenities were classic. The owner was also helpful and friendly. The breakfast was SUBLIME. Small town Rocky Mount and the mountains are a great fit for this classy but comfy old house BnB. Oh...the front porch views of the Blue Ridge with rockers and hanging ferns was totally Appalachia at its best.

The Claiborne Inn is a fantastic, wonderful place to stay! Every detail is tended to providing gracious hospitality for the guests. Clean, comfortable and felt very safe. The owner, Robin, made a delicious breakfast for all the guests, and made sure we had everything we needed our entire stay. Couldn’t have been more pleased, and will absolutely go back when I am in Rocky Mount!

Nothing could have been better!

We enjoyed our stay, and loved that our pup was so welcomed and spoiled with a gift basket! We were disappointed to miss the breakfast as it was served after we needed to get on the road.

Having a TV in the room would’ve been nice as we arrived earlier than expected, however, definitely not a deal breaker.

We really enjoyed our time there. The place is beautifully decorated and there’s a lot of attention to details and cleaning. The manager Robin was great and super flexible with the check-in time. Well located and with convenient parking.This place was excellent!

Breakfast was great! Entire house is decorated gorgeously, garden/yard is beautifully maintained, room was more than accommodating. Owner had so many wonderful recommendations for the very local area!

Can't think of a single thing to dislike!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed staying at The Claiborne House in Rocky Mount, VA. Our host,Amy, has this bed and breakfast running like a well oiled machine. Check in was easy and we didn’t need to ask for anything because she thought of everything.

We just wish the weather would have been better! We would like to visit another time (without remnants from a hurricane) to enjoy the grounds, etc.

Farmhouse Room was large with a King Bed. Bed was very comfortable. Room very quiet. Friendly Owner.

Breakfast was very basic. Did not compare with many B&Bs we stayed in the past. No soap or body wash on shower. Shampoo and conditioner only. (Note, did not know that cats have free run of house - lay on beds. If allergic be aware)
