I really enjoyed my stay at The Liberty Trust. The room was very clean, comfortable, and beautifully designed with a modern touch that made it feel upscale and relaxing. The atmosphere throughout the hotel was welcoming, and the view from my room was a great added bonus. The night staff were especially professional, friendly, and accommodating to any requests I had, which made a big difference. Check-in and checkout were both smooth and efficient. I also appreciated the complementary coffee in the morning — it was a simple but thoughtful way to start the day.

The biggest downside was the parking situation. The designated parking was about a block away from the hotel, which normally wouldn't be an issue, but on a Saturday night, I had to walk past several busy bars and large crowds of intoxicated people. It felt somewhat unsafe and uncomfortable, especially when carrying bags. Additionally, there were no charging options for electric vehicles, which would have been a helpful amenity for guests.

This is a gem of a place to stay, I love the bank motif and the Vault downstairs is a great place to socialize and get some delicious food. The details in my room were really thoughtful, I love having a tea cuddle and there were some things for better sleep. Great walkability to Market Square and Hotel Roanoke, I did some shopping and got some takeout.

The only thing I didn't like about my room was the bathroom door and the shower door situation, they were too close together and I was very afraid of slipping. Downtown on a weekend night is pretty noisy but my white noise app blocked it all out

Very nice boutique historic property. Loved the way they incorporated the old bank features like the vault. Staff was friendly, good location near lots of restaurants and convenient parking 1 block away.

Wasn’t crazy about the restaurant menu so didn’t try it. They really need to use fitted sheets - drives me crazy when hotels use a plain bottom sheet on a slippery mattress cover - just won’t stay on, very annoying. A bit surprised/disappointed they went to all the trouble and expense to convert this very cool old building into a hotel, then installed cheap ‘Super 8’ quality furniture. Didn’t fit. Others have complained about noise issues - we didn’t experience any.

Location was excellent and parking was very convenient and easy to access with help of voucher from hotel. Checking in and out was easy with very helpful and friendly staff at front desk. Will stay here again

Breakfast offerings. Breakfast could have offered more basic items like variety of egg preparation, rather than exotic breakfast sandwiches. Too early in the morning for those, but needed more than toast, bagel, muffin, etc. Fruit parfait and oatmeal we had were very good. Coffee was terrible. Since there are many good restaurants nearby, we did not eat any other meal in the hotel, so it would have been nice to have our one meal there be good and satisfying. Fully working coffee maker in room and electric recharging plugs. We had trouble with both.

I've stayed at The Liberty Trust several times since it opened and the the high quality experience there has remained consistent. The beds and linens are luxury level and the bathroom and toiletries rival any 5* hotel. Housekeeping is A+ and the Staff are A+++. The lobby bar provides a relaxing experience in a beautifully restored architectural gem and service is excellent. The small plates and drinks are thoughtfully prepared and delicious. I did not avail myself of any food options in house, but the space was lovely. The room was small but perfect for myself and I really enjoyed the view of the Mill Mountain Star. It was cold when I arrived but the heat turned on quickly. Parking was simple and close by (and I was allowed to park a few hours ahead of checking in) and I loved being able to walk around downtown (in spite of the 15 degree weather). I would definitely stay at the Liberty Trust again.

The hotel being converted from an old bank building makes for a very cool building set-up. I really like that they elevators are keycard access only so you don't have a lot of unnecessary foot traffic on the upper levels, despite the restaurant downstairs being busy. The accommodations were clean and comfortable, and the shower was especially great. Actually the plumbing in the building in general is a huge plus, because the water pressure is good and the hot water comes as soon as you turn it on. Had a nice sunset view of the city from my room on the 6th floor that made a nice backdrop for my stay. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The location is really ideal for exploring most of the best downtown restaurants in the area because it's all within walking distance.

The only two downsides were that there was no included breakfast, but I knew that when I booked, and there is also no on-site parking. There is a nearby garage and they have a deal so that you can come and go as much as you please for $8/day but it's a bit of a tedious setup. Still, not that bad and they are great about letting you load/unload right at the front door.

The early 20th century bank has been transformed into an elegant bar, restaurant and hotel. We loved the details like the old copper doors to every bedroom and the large, modern bathrooms. The breakfast was fine and the coffee was free. The hotel is next door to Alexander's, a gourmet restaurant where we had a fabulous meal.

The neighborhood is fun to explore by day, with lots of little shops and cafes, but at night (Wednesday and Thursday nights, both nights we were there) some people were engaging in endless loud motorcycle races and car races up and down Jefferson St. It was hard to sleep through that.

Very clean and the atmosphere and architecture was very cool! The restaurant is fantastic! The drinks were amazing! The service was excellent!!! You can even dine inside the original vault of the bank (reserve ahead of time)!

Parking was free in a garage however you had to walk a little way to it. However, you can load and unload in front of the hotel so really not that bad. Don’t let this make you you not want to stay!

This was our second time staying at Liberty. The customer service was amazing like always. Lisa at the front desk was awesome and was extremely friendly and helpful. Sarah and Mark at the bar were extraordinary. My fiance and I laughed non stop when conversating at the bar with them. The room was fantastic as always. Awesome experience, will definitely be staying again.

I personally don't like the pillows but not a big deal
