If your ever in Roanoke Virginia and need a place to stay that's not $$$$$ I highly recommend the econo Lodge Civic Center And it was the best cheap hotel I have spent in No holes in the walls, no loud neighbors, everything worked, doors locked, plenty of bright flood lights outside. The breakfast was good had variety of foods. The staff was helpful and friendly They had thick towels, soup, lots of shampoo and conditioner, hairdryer, TV, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker in the rooms. No smells, stains. The room was very clean and the pillows and bed very comfortable.

It is close to our daughters university. We stay when we move her in each year.

They have you pay a deposit upon checking in. They check to see before you leave if you have smoked in a non-smoking room. My husband has asthma and it has always been smoked in. I have to tell them each time( that it has been smoked in) so I don't get charged a fee. This last time I had to keep the door and windows open to air it out because it was that terrible. It smelled like a bar. I could hardly breathe and I don't have asthma. We go every year when we move my daughter into college down there. If I didn't just want to sleep after the 17 hour drive and unpacking, I would not stay there.

It was clean comfortable with a simple but tasty breakfast choices. Big screen tv that swivels. Blow dryer, microwave, fridge and built in shampoo and body wash. Not much noise outside or above

The curtains had a large gap to where when standing outside window you could see half the floor. If anyone going to bathroom could be seen. I used a hanger with clips to pull over and clip to door latch so my granddaughter and I felt safe.

I stay here often for work. My room is always clean and comfortable. It’s close to my workplace fingerprint and they always give me a first floor room if they are able since that is my preference.

Not a problem with the property, but the traffic in that entire area is terrible sometimes.

The gentleman who worked the front desk was very pleasant and helpful. The room had more amenities than expected, especially for a motel. There was a microwave, decent-sized refrigerator with freezer, coffee maker, to-go coffee cups with lids, blowdryer, clothes drying rack, and hangers for suits.

The location is ultra-convenient, but that comes with the noise of traffic, which affects the sleep of some people more than others.

The room was clean, the bed very comfortable and there were far more amenities than typical of an economy motel. The towels were a bit small but were surprisingly absorbent. The staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely would stay there again when driving through the area. Thanks so much for a great night

The room was clean, staff very friendly,ice machine was producing ice,other people booking hotel rooms were very quiet and respectful. Parking was spacious and available,and well lit up at night. It was located within 5 minutes to downtown Roanoke. We will stay again in the near future.

this was the lowest priced motel at the time we booked, yet the room was as comfy as any other higher priced. There was a fridge, coffee maker, continental breakfast with pastries and bagels and cereal. The rooms were not noisy in spite of being near a highway. It was easy to find because it was next to the highway. Staff were fine and efficient. We didn't have any special requests, so we cannot speak to how the staff would react in such a situation. There were plenty of other businesses around for eating, etc. close to Amtrak and museum.

Probably not a great neighborhood for walking at night, but otherwise no negatives.

Everything was clean, the host was very accommodating, the other guests were quite. The facilities were centrally located for easy access to downtown and the freeways. I can't recommend enough! Don't pay attention to earlier reviews, I think management has changed, and has made efforts to rebrand this hotel.

There was nothing to dislike. I was quite happy, and feel that the price I paid was less than what a room/location like that would get me elsewhere.

The location was very convenient. Owners were amazing, funny, and helpful to us. Our room was very clean. We reserved this last minute because of a storm, and this was affordable, so we decided to pull off interstate on our way home to Vermont. I'm so glad we did. Highly recommend. July 2023 We also could see the famous star and cathedral from the balcony.
