Historic room was rather tight and we could not open our clamshell suitcases. As it was late, we asked if we could have something bigger. Our request was very well handled by the sympathetic colleague at reception and we were more than satisfied with the outcome. Lovely hotel perhaps in need of some TLC in places but it was comfortable and nicely furnished. Including body lotion with the toiletries was welcomed. Individual room WiFi was excellent.

No blackout blinds and in a room facing the street, there is traffic noise and trains blaring horns when going through the town as well as restaurant lighting shining through the gaps in the blinds. Not that they bothered us much after a long day.

We enjoyed the quiet provided by the solid construction of the older building--we couldn't hear neighboring guests. We loved the quality of the linens, the spaciousness of the room, the quality and selection of Smith teas, the Makeworth coffee, the library and interaction with other guests it provides.

The shampoo/body wash dispenser was empty, the exterior coating on the bathtub was peeling, there was no counter space in the bathroom so no place for things when you're putting on makeup, etc.

We loved the period pieces that have remained and the honour if of the history of the building. The rooms don’t carry that historical theming to them but are modern, bright and airy. The Unlock the Leo Immersive Experience we did with our teen son was truly exceptional and we can’t recommend it enough to people, especially those within that tricky teen age bracket (Also good for adults too). The welcome pastries and beverages on arrival were an unexpected treat and the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Parking spaces are very tight if your car is on the larger size and they are also only a limited number of spots available. Also, the bar looked so good but was closed by the time we had finished ‘Unlock the Leo’ which is a shame as they had an extensive list of unique offerings, it would be good if the hours were a little longer.

We loved the interior of the hotel where it was restored to the original features. Staffs were super friendly and welcoming. Tuesday evening dance and live music was entertaining and an excellent finish to our 20 hours journey to USA. Parking was easy, room size were huge. Kitchen services were sufficient. Staffs again helpful and informative. Easy reach to all restaurants and bars, train horn can be heard at the hotel but its adding to the holiday experience.Overall experience is : would stay again.

Would have been great to be able to have breakfast at the hotel. Unfortunately doors were not clean all around the first floor. Did not check the other floor. I have aired my findings to the receptiondesk and I hope they did take action. This was the only disappointing features.

I loved the fact that you have a LIBRARY! I also enjoyed the historical significance of the hotel. My room included a kitchen with a full-sized refrigerator & freezer, which was a very welcome surprise! The bed was really comfortable! I was here to take a business- related course located in the old National Bank building, so the Hotel Leo's location was PERFECT!!! So convenient, and within walking distance of many dining & shopping options! The staff were TOP NOTCH! Not only was every interaction with them pleasant, but they were friendly, courteous, helpful, and personally greeted me upon my comings & goings! As a solo traveler, they helped me feel very welcome and (perhaps even more importantly) very SAFE here at Hotel Leo! I believe they really deserve extra recognition & special mention! Well done!

I usually prefer to stay at hotels that have a pool & spa (sometimes a sauna, when I'm lucky); so I did miss having that here. But I get it that as an historical building in an urban setting, such additions are probably not feasible. The location being EXACTLY where I needed to stay (to eliminate the need for driving to classes, restaurants, or pay for parking, for example!) made up for the lack of pool/spa facilities. I will definitely stay here in the future (as I will likely be returning for subsequent events at the National Bank building) and will recommend it to others as well!

The apartment suite is amazing. It’s super spacious and we had a great view of the social deck, which is fine. I also like the proximity to the lobby from this room. Staff are friendly, and Security are present and alert. Parking was free and easy. There’s tons of restaurants and coffee, shops, and things to do within walking distance.

The only thing that I really didn’t like was the flooring in the shower. It was too rough and seemed porous. Next time I’ll just bring shower shoes.

Excellent location in Bellingham. We strolled around town which is what we intended to do during our visit. Stores and shops were all walking-distance. Free parking in their lot was a big plus. Very comfortable and cozy lobby with a piano which our so enjoyed playing. Loved the contrast between the modern and historic elements throughout the hotel. Great kitchenette and ample room in the suite for the three of us. The staff was wonderful. They extended our check-out time the next day so we could grab breakfast in town.

Heating system in the suite was only in the bedroom. Our son slept in the sofa bed in the living room. It was a cold night. We cranked the heat and kept the bedroom door open so he could get some heat. However, the bedroom got too warm. A portable space heater for the living area would easily solve this issue.

I just love this hotel, its in a great location, the staff is always helpful and friendly. I have stayed here 3 times now and each time I get a different room and they are all well equipped and comfortable. Love the game/library room and having the bar/restaurant onsite. Its just a great hotel.

there are times when the streets are loud (college town), so it an get noisy at night. They do provide ear plugs.

Dripping with historical vibes and gorgeous woodwork and tile. Great location, walking distance to a cool part of town. Staff superb, room was clean and well stocked with thoughtful amenities

Parking is limited, but I got lucky. Room was freezing cold when I arrived but I was able to turn off the air and take a hot shower to warm up. Bed was lumpy and in need of an upgrade

On either side of the hotel, about a block in either direction, are active train tracks. Trains whistle at crossings and they whistled. I asked for a 'quiet' room but that's what I got with the explanation that no rooms were situated to not hear the trains. Fortunately, I had earplugs but still was awakened at night at least twice. Also, I had a two-room suite with the bedroom off the main room. There was a heater in the main room but no heater in the bedroom. Fortunately, they gave me blankets which I used and wasn't cold at night. The setup means that in the summer, when it is hot out, there is no cooling in the bedroom. The suggestion was to use a space heater and leave the door open between the bedroom and the main room. Not a good solution. For the price, it was not a good trade. However, there have been many famous people in the hotel (Eleanor Roosevelt, Shirley Temple, the crew of several films, etc.) are there are many artifacts of a bygone era. The hotel was built in 1929 with a lot of history visible mostly on the first two floors.

Phone in the room; heater in both rooms, A/C in the bedroom in the summer, Also, for elderly guests staying in this area, there is a short staircase that must be climbed - a possible problem.
