Second time we stayed here on a long road trip around Western Washington, and just as good as the first. The staff are very, very friendly and I felt comfortable approaching them with any issues that came up (of which there were few). The location is ideal, and the fact that such a small inn has an exercise room, pool, jacuzzi, morning coffee & bagels, and ice machine were impressive. Also, they give you chocolate chip cookies when you check in.

A couple things in the room could use TLC - the knob on a piece of furniture fell off, and the shower rod needs to be rehung. But these are minor details and can be fixed easily.

The Poulsbo Inn is very easy to find, it is right off the main road and close enough to downtown that you can walk if you don't mind a little stroll down to the harbor. It is also near a CVS (needed a few toiletries) and across the street from a few restaurants. The staff were super friendly, and I was surprised by how well-maintained everything was, from the landscaping to the small dining room where coffee and bagels are available every morning. Also has a small pool and jacuzzi for when the kids are driving you bonkers.

It is a bit dated, and the beds were not the most comfortable I have slept in. But these are relatively minor quibbles.

The staff are all phenomenal! They are friendly, informative, and helpful. I've yet to encounter any employee with a less than stellar attitude. If a problem occurs, they address it immediately and never make you feel as if it's an inconvenience if you ask for help with something or if you need extra toiletries, towels, etc. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and spacious enough for my grandson to have room for his toys, including a large marble run set. The beds are the perfect level of firmness, with a variety of pillow firmnesses so guests can find one that's "just right" for their comfort. Goldilocks would be pleased 😊 The included "breakfast" has been reduced to fresh bagels from the local Safeway with options of butter, cream cheese, peanut butter, and/or jelly and choices of apple or orange juice, coffee, hot cocoa, and several kinds of tea bags for hot tea. We don't mind the limited breakfast because we LOVE Safeway's bagels, but I thought it was important to mention it since previous (older) reviews have mentioned the breakfast including things like waffles. I'm sure this is due to rising grocery costs and, honestly, I would rather have the lower room rental costs versus an extensive breakfast buffet.

There isn't any kind of safety latch at the top of the doors like you usually see on hotel/motel doors. My grandson is autistic and elopes, so not having that extra layer of safety on the door gives him an increased opportunity to get out of the room. The Inn is located on a busy street, so this could potentially create an extremely dangerous situation. The floors in the rooms are carpeted, which is so much more difficult to clean than wood or vinyl flooring. My grandson spilled water on the floor, so we soaked it up with a towel, which ended up being stained due to the carpet not being clean.

Comfortable, convenient location. Delightful staff. Clean. Quiet even though on a main road.

The thing that was disappointing was "breakfast". It wasn't what I've come to expect from similarly priced chains. It was "continental breakfast" at best. Nothing hot. Nothing fresh. Only bagels. No yogurt, fresh fruit, only one kind of cereal. Not even instant oatmeal or cream of wheat. Really disappointing. Glad the Green Light Diner down the road was open. In room coffee was 1 variety (decaf), no tea, no hot chocolate. It just felt like if you don't really want to do it, don't advertise that you are (providing breakfast). Would have also liked better access to plug-ins to charge electronic. Lamps with USB ports/plugins would be nice.

The front counter person was Super super nice and gave us homemade cookies that were excellent. She should get a raise. She did very explanatory where our room destination was overall she was great. Made me want to come back.

Nothing it was so great I think the front counter person I think her name is Renee or Hazel I don’t remember however her attitude is what made me want to come back she was excellent exceptional. The place could be a dump, but he made me wanna come back but it’s not a dump.

Location was great… Room is very clean and very quiet… beds were pretty comfortable… Did not take advantage of the breakfast, but they had a waffle maker and coffee was nice and the staff inside were very friendly in the morning

Mostly bummed out about hot tub and our roof rack, scraping on the overhang as there was no clearance warning.. we made it on way in.. but noticed in the morning It had a broken spot on entry which made this possible ..but scraped on the way out. ( we were checking in at 930 pm after a long day)

Although the Inn is an older property, it was well-maintained. The rooms were spacious and very clean, and the heater-air conditioner worked perfectly! I have hip problems, and the bed was very comfortable!

The breakfast room was 3 buildings away from our unit, so we had to drive over because walking is difficult for me. Breakfast was just bagels and coffee. It would be nice to have a little protein in the morning.

The owner and staff were exceptionally helpful. I returned home and realized I'd left my brand new $75 pillow behind in the room! I messaged the property right away and they quickly responded and confirmed they had the pillow. I asked if it was possible to have it mailed back to me and they mailed it out a day later. It was much cheaper to pay the mailing cost than purchase a new pillow and I really appreciate that they went the extra mile to help me out. They also offer a really nice continental breakfast that my friend and I enjoyed before embarking on the 50 mile bike ride event that brought us to Poulsbo.

It was beautiful, quiet, clean and comfortable, and the staff were exceptional. I loved the location, with a clean foods restaurant and a couple mexican places right across the street along with plenty of safe streets to walk and enjoy. The property is set up beautifully with room for kids to play and outdoor spaces for adults to sit and enjoy a beverage. It is a simple, real old style boutique motel that I will put on my short list of places to come back to!

I wish it had blackout drapes since the blinds let some light through. But maybe that’s just me, I like it really dark.

Very comfortable and clean. Staff was very friendly and gave us rooms close together. Rooms were clean and well appointed with all we needed. It’s a vintage haven for those who have an affinity for retro aesthetics like we did. It’s a classic PNW treat. Hot tip: snap a photo by the gnome, the lighting is nice!

Nothing bad about the property- there was a large family group who took over the hot tub area for hours and pool so that area felt closed off during our stay. It would be nice if there was a system in place like a time limit so every guest could enjoy the amenities.
